Chapter 1814 The Hidden Domain's Opening(2)
"Sorry, but that's not happening," Yuan calmly replied, a sneer of disdain spreading across his face. "If you want our tokens, you'll have to take them from our corpses. However, I don't think you have the capabilities to make that happen."
"Then you can die!" the young man roared, his patience snapping. Immortal Qi erupted from his body in a brilliant surge, the air around him trembling under the sheer force of his power as he prepared to strike.
Seeing the young man's aggressive move, Tan Songyun instinctively prepared to counter. However, before she could act, the middle-aged woman beside him intercepted.
"You can deal with me!" she shouted, her voice echoing with confidence as she unleashed a powerful blast of Immortal Qi toward Tan Songyun and Xi Meili.
Tan Songyun was forced to go into the defense because of Xi Meili, who would not be able to endure the Immortal Qi as a mortal.
Meanwhile, the young man launched his assault on Yuan, his Immortal Qi surging forward like a tidal wave. The overwhelming force of his attack distorted the air around it, crackling with destructive energy as it barreled toward Yuan with tyrannical intensity.
In response, Yuan calmly summoned his incomplete Immortal Qi. With a swift motion, he sliced through the young man's Immortal Qi as if it were nothing more than a thin veil.
"What?!" the young man exclaimed, his voice filled with shock and disbelief. He stared wide-eyed at Yuan. "W-what did you do just now?!"
"Sorry, but I don't have time to entertain you."
Yuan calmly retrieved Baneful Abyss, its dark blade gleaming ominously in his hand. Activating True Dragon Transformation, his aura erupted with overwhelming force, surging to an intensity that momentarily stunned the young man, freezing him in place with sheer pressure and astonishment.
Seizing the opportunity, Yuan moved with lightning speed, closing the distance in an instant. With the Baneful Abyss in hand, he launched a swift and precise strike aimed directly at the young man, the blade cutting through the air with a menacing hum as it bore down on its target.
The young man instinctively reacted to the incoming attack, his body moving just in time to avoid a fatal blow to his neck. However, his evasive maneuver was not perfect, and the Baneful Abyss grazed his cheek, leaving a shallow but stinging cut.
Afterward, Yuan calmly put away Baneful Abyss, an action that immediately puzzled his opponent.
"What do you think you're—" the young man began to speak, but his words were abruptly cut off.
His face contorted in excruciating pain as the Baneful Abyss' poison began coursing through his body, melting him from the inside. The young man's screams echoed as he staggered, clutching his body in desperation.
Young Master?!" The middle-aged woman abruptly stopped her clash with Tan Songyun, her attention snapping toward the young man as his screams of agony filled the air.
"Did nobody teach you to never look away in the middle of a battle?" Tan Songyun remarked coldly, a sharp edge in her tone.
Without hesitation, she seized the opportunity created by the woman's distraction, unleashing a decisive and fatal strike. The attack caught the woman off-guard, sealing her fate. As for the young man, he also perished shortly after.
Tan Songyun glanced at the young man's corpse and swallowed nervously.
'What kind of poison is powerful enough to kill an Immortal in seconds?' she wondered inwardly.
Shortly afterward, Yuan searched their bodies and acquired their spatial rings.
"Radiant Sky Hall—have you heard of them?" Yuan asked as he examined the medallion he had retrieved from their spatial ring.
"Radiant Sky Hall… They're a prominent sect within the Seventh Heaven." Tan Songyun said with a slight frown on her face.
"Let me see that medallion."
Yuan handed the medallion to her, and she examined it more intently.
A moment later, Tan Songyun rubbed her eyes and sighed, "That young man you killed was the Radiant Sky Hall's Prime Disciple. He's essentially their Sect Leader's direct disciple."
"So what? Are you saying I shouldn't have killed him?"
"That would've definitely been better… but since you already killed him, there's nothing we can do."
"Even if I killed him, there are no witnesses, so there's no way for the Radiant Sky Hall to know that I killed him," Yuan said.
"Actually, it's quite common for sects and families in the Upper Heavens to place trackers on their most valuable members," Tan Songyun revealed, her tone serious. "If anything happens to them, the sect or family would know immediately. The more advanced and expensive trackers can even identify and locate the individuals responsible for their deaths. Though, they are extremely rare and expensive, so I doubt the Radiant Sky Hall would use that for a mere disciple."
"Even if that's the case, what's done has been done. Also, they were in the wrong for trying to rob us in the first place. Unless the Radiant Sky Hall is shameless enough to come after us, who are the victims, we should be fine."
Tan Songyun nodded in agreement.
"Sorry for being in your way, and thank you for protecting me just now." Xi Meili said to Tan Songyun as they resumed their journey.
"Don't worry about it. Mortals are no match for Immortals, anyway."
Tan Songyun looked at Yuan as she spoke, pondering about the incomplete Immortal Qi he used during his fight.
'Although it wasn't true Immortal Qi, it was very similar, and it even had the capability to fight true Immortal Qi. To use such a power when he's only at Spirit Enlightenment, what a monster…' she sighed inwardly.
'If he's already this powerful at Spirit Enlightenment, I cannot imagine how powerful he'll become once he becomes an Immortal.'
After traveling for several hours without any interruptions, Yuan and his group had to stop again when another group of individuals blocked them.
"You lot must be going to the Hidden Domain! Hand over your tokens, and we'll spare your lives!" The leader of this group demanded.
