Chapter 477: Abyssal Seven Monarchs (Part 2)
As soon as the Divine Skills were unleashed, the Chaos Demon Venerate immediately saw the true culprit making them retreat.
It was the Lord of Blood Flesh, whose size was no smaller than the previous Chaos Great World, creating a net of blood and flesh.
No matter how vast the divine skills of the Chaos Demon God under this net of blood and flesh, it was unable to break free and could only watch itself being consumed completely.
Four Chaos Demon Venerates gathered together.
They exchanged Divine Thought, and in an instant, decided to retreat into the depths of the Chaos World.
Now it seemed like a mutual invasion, interference, and corruption between the Abyss and Chaos.
They are the most effective subordinates of Chaos.
The most important duty is to protect the rear!
The Chaos Demon Venerates looked at the great consciousness overlapped by the Seven-Colored Halo, unable to divert its attention to them.
Feeling assured, they collectively fled back to the original Chaos World.
Just as they entered it.
"Something's off!"
The Chaos Demon Venerates sensed an anomaly.
They widened their eyes and saw that at some point, a gigantic stage had appeared in the Chaos World.
On the stage were millions of small worlds from the Chaos World.
These worlds became actors on the stage, countless Chaos Creatures were born on them, growing into Demon Gods.
Then they slaughter each other on the stage, until finally perishing together, everything returning to nothingness.
And then, following the movements of a faceless, black-clothed person holding a baton in the air above the stage.
It seemed as though time flowed backward on the stage, and the small worlds reappeared, beginning the previous storyline again.
The storyline on the stage revolved continuously.
It seemed meaningless.
But the Chaos Demon Venerates felt it.
The stage that used the small worlds of the Chaos World as actors.
With each cycle, it absorbed and consumed the power of the entire Chaos Great World.
The billions of Chaos Army born in the blink of an eye on the stage, and the countless Chaos Demon Gods, were all very real.
Their mutual killing and destruction were also real.
However, under normal circumstances, the death of Chaos Demons would return to the embrace of Chaos, keeping the energy of the whole Chaos Great World unchanged.
Even because there was always external plundering.
The overall energy of Chaos would only increase.
But the consumption on this stage, once gone it was truly gone.
Lost energy would not be replenished.
The huge stage, with its continuous cycles of performance.
Was like an enormous pump, constantly extracting the essence of the Chaos World.
The four Chaos Demon Venerates all realized how frightening this situation was.
Instinctively, they wanted to take action.
But they felt a cold shiver as the faceless man's gaze followed them, wielding the baton.
One of the Abyss Seven Emperors, the Lord of Reincarnation!
Also, perhaps the energy extracted by this giant stage had replenished its own strength.
The Chaos Demon Venerates felt that the Lord of Reincarnation's current power far exceeded that of the previous Abyss Monarchs.
"Since you're here, why not take a trip through my Reincarnation Realm?"
"If you can transcend reincarnation, there might be an opportunity for breakthrough."
The lazy voice of the Lord of Reincarnation echoed in the ears of the Chaos Demon Venerates.
Etched into their minds, deep within their Primordial Spirit.
Making them instinctively realize that the other party was not lying.
If they could truly transcend reincarnation, perhaps these Chaos Demon Venerates could indeed progress further!
Thus having the possibility to become a new Dark Calamity.
To say they were not tempted would be a lie.
But seeing the whole extensive Chaos Great World and those familiar small worlds becoming toys in the opponent's hands.
The Chaos Demon Venerates, as long as they weren't foolish, would choose to refuse.
The Minotaur-bodied Chaos Demon Venerate thought this way, however... as they faced the invitation of the Lord of Reincarnation...
They unexpectedly discovered that their subconscious had betrayed them, making the decision to agree ahead of their own will.
Immediately!
The four Chaos Demon Venerates entered the grand stage together.
Becoming a variant node in the constantly repeating storyline on this stage.
Adding subtle and intriguing changes to each cycle of the performance.
The changes within reincarnation.
This was indeed what the Lord of Reincarnation favored most.
The images of motion trailed as the baton waved.
Causing the time flow on the stage to accelerate by a few margins.
Every cycle performance also quickened its pace.
After "dozens of breaths" in this manner.
The Minotaur-bodied Chaos Demon Venerate suddenly emerged in place.
It was utterly weak, its aura nearly dropping below that of a Cultivator of Divinity Transformation degree.
Yet it couldn't afford to mind these details.
Its mind remained filled with masses of memories, still somewhat dazed and chaotic.
Brought into the reincarnation stage.
This Chaos Demon Venerate began a new life from infancy.
Deprived of his original memory, he grew and practiced various Divine Skills under certain conscious guidance from a young age.
Then, baptized by the Chaotic Power, he became a formidable warrior of the Chaos Army.
Following which, he clashed violently with opponents.
Ultimately turning to ashes on the battlefield, waiting for the performance to restart, reincarnating once more.
The storyline was simple, without life-and-death separations or grand moral discourses, just cultivation and growth before going to the front lines to fight enemies.
Yet, unable to endure, this cycle repeated over and over again.
To the extent that the Chaos Demon Venerate emancipated from it, still briefly trapped, believing that was how his life should be, that kind of warrior.
"Puh!"
In several breaths, the Minotaur-bodied Chaos Demon Venerate completely snapped back to reality, spitting out a mouthful of foul blood.
Looking towards the grand stage, he knew his other three companions were still trapped inside.
And at this time, they couldn't come out, in the future...it would only become more difficult, eventually becoming nothing more than puppets acting on command.
...
The Minotaur-bodied Chaos Demon Venerate turned his head, choosing to distance himself from the stage, after escaping the Chaos World.
He immediately discovered that the current gray fog region was no better off.
As more and more Chaos Army was devoured, absorbing and transforming the Chaotic Power.
Those Abyss Monarchs' auras became increasingly terrifying one after another.
Previously, the Chaos Demon Venerate had confidence to contend with them.
Now, he didn't dare even to glance at their true forms.
Afraid that he would fall into a trap unnoticed once again!
The divine skills of these Abyss Monarchs, actually each more bizarre and terrifying than the last, not abiding by reason!
Just as the Minotaur-bodied Chaos Demon Venerate was hesitant about what to do.
He suddenly found that the Seven-Colored Halo flashed and left the Chaos Vortex.
Immediately following, the enraged great consciousness expanded its Divine Sense.
In an instant, it seemed as though the entire Chaos World and this gray fog time-space were under the gaze of the great consciousness of Chaos.
The remaining Chaos Demon Gods too, at this time, wept with joy.
Hoping for the great consciousness of Chaos to unleash its mighty power.
However!
Accompanied as the six Abyss Monarchs each manifested an illusion around the Chaos Vortex.
Unafraid of the gaze and various pressures from the opponent.
The great consciousness of Chaos abruptly withdrew its extended Divine Sense.
After compressing it to the extreme within the Chaos Vortex.
A giant entirely made of pitch-black light appeared.
This giant was formless, and yet the even more lusterless, shining black light outside allowed people to discern its shape.
It emerged from the Chaos Vortex, successfully treading the boundary between fantasy and reality.
Instead, the Chaos Vortex transformed into illusion and was swallowed by it.
"God of Chaos... Kars!"
Outside, feeling the surging aura and imagining the fierce battle inside, the leader of the black-robed ones trembled, his lips shaking lightly as he spoke:
"I see, so this is the source of Chaos?"
"Is the source of the Dark Calamity also from this?"
Some of the other black-robed ones were baffled, while others understood and also showed astonished expressions.
The Chaos inherent in the Dark Calamity seemed to originate from a decayed, fallen Ancient God.
However...they knew better.
This Ancient God had once been successfully replaced by a Cultivator.
Therefore.
Above the Saint, there genuinely is another path!
Which is...becoming a Dark Calamity?
Thinking of the madness of Dark Calamities.
The black-robed ones somewhat understood why the Saints chose not to advance further.
For a path like that doesn't seem any better than achieving eternal life and immortality as a Saint.
