In less than half an hour, Alex Carter arrived at the agreed location via the fast travel point.

From a distance, he saw a tall figure bent over, working on a car.

The striking curves exuded a wildness that begged to be tamed.

After steadying himself, Alex approached: "Panam?"

Panam turned her head to glance at Alex, then resumed fixing the car.

"It's you, the person from yesterday. You really didn't listen to me."

"Tell me, where are my car and my cargo?"

Alex smiled slightly: "Don't worry, we both need each other, so I found you through Rogue."

At the mention of Rogue, Panam immediately became irate.

"Are you two trying to play me for a fool?"

"Hurry up, spill everything you know, then go back to wherever you came from. And remember to tell Rogue to get lost!"

Alex, feeling a bit awkward, instinctively thought of calming Panam down.

But he knew if he actually said that, this fiery woman would likely retort, "Mind your own business!"

So, after a moment's thought, he got straight to the point.

"Panam, I know where your car and cargo are, and I can help you retrieve them. But I also need your help."

Hearing this, a sneer crossed Panam's face.

"Heh... You want me to help you first, then you'll help me get my car back."

In her experience, mercenaries and middlemen were always like this.

However, Alex unexpectedly shook his head.

"I trust you. I'll help you get your car and goods first, and then you can help me."

"Um?"

Panam stopped her work, looking at Alex with surprise.

"Is there something wrong with your brain?"

Such a naive idea in Night City...

Was this man's first time in Night City?

Alex shook his head with a smile: "I believe in the Aldecaldos."

His words struck a chord.

For Nomads, the clan was their home and their faith.

Panam's icy demeanor softened considerably.

"Hmph, you've got some sense. So, tell me, what do you need me to help you with?"

Seeing Panam relent, the smile on Alex's face grew.

"It's simple. Jackson Plains, help me hijack a Kang Tao AV. The defense is limited to the security personnel aboard. That's easy for you, right?"

Panam considered for a moment, then nodded: "Alright, but remember, if anything goes wrong, I'm not taking the fall."

"That's fair."

"Now, where's my car?" Panam asked directly.

Alex thought for a moment and said, "I think it should be in the cave at Stoneridge Mountain."

"But just to be sure, I suggest you call your client and have him confirm it."

"Alright, hold on, I'll make a call." Panam said as she stepped aside.

"Hey, Boz, Nash was supposed to deliver, right? But listen, he's the one who screwed me over."

"What? They stood you up? The Scavs are all at the cave?"

"More than 500 of them? Acklow's there too? Damn it!"

"Okay, I'll get back to you..."

Ending the call, Panam returned to Alex with a grim expression.

"I'm afraid we'll have to find another opportunity. For some reason, most of the Scavs have gathered at the cave in Stoneridge Mountain."

"My car and goods are there too. It's impossible to drive them out under the eyes of so many people."

Hearing this, Alex was delighted.

"No no no, the more the merrier. We'll strike when it gets dark!"

"Are you crazy? Did you not hear me? Five hundred people! Not fifty."

Seeing Panam's emotions starting to boil over again, Alex quickly reassured her:

"I know what I'm doing. The reason the Scavs are gathered there is because of me."

Panam frowned: "You did it? Why?"

"Of course, it's to take out these idiots. Trust me, it'll be fine," Alex replied confidently.

"Five hundred people! Are you sure?" Panam looked at Alex skeptically.

"The more the better, don't worry."

With that, Alex got into the passenger seat of the car.

"Let's go, we have some time before nightfall, let's take a drive."

"Alright." Panam got in the driver's seat.

"I need to head back to camp to gather some gear. Just in case your plan goes south."

Alex smiled, saying nothing more.

If things really went south, they could only run with Panam.

After all, that's five hundred people.

Even Adam Smasher would struggle to handle that many.

...

As night fell, Alex and Panam, now accompanied by Mitch and Scorpion and some heavy equipment, arrived near the cave at Stoneridge Mountain.

It was more of a tunnel than a cave.

Both ends were accessible.

At this time, several Scavs were guarding the entrances.

After observing for a while, Alex whispered, "Let's quietly take out the guards first, it'll make things easier."

Hearing this, Panam pulled out her rifle: "I'll cover you."

Alex nodded, drew his weapon, and moved toward the entrance.

However, just as he was about to reach the cave, something unexpected happened!

In Alex's field of vision, a red warning appeared.

"Warning, unauthorized access."

Damn! A hacker!

Alex was startled.

Initially, to avoid cyberattacks, he had been uneasy about installing the core operating system prosthetics at Victor's.

He never expected to face this threat at such a critical moment!

If their position was exposed now, he and Panam could only flee.

Could his plan with Panam be doomed before it even began?

For a moment, Alex was at a loss.

He didn't notice the blacklight virus, quietly entrenched in his body, begin to respond to the prosthetic's anomaly.

It covered the affected area and started evolving rapidly according to the network signal!
