Chapter 134: Chapter 135 - [Source Plan] The First Actual Combat Strength of the Armor! (Asking for Flowers)

"Come on! Let's have a real fight!!"

Rebecca's voice rang out with a manic excitement that echoed down the bloodstained alleyway.

Baker and Chrisman, both having injected themselves with the new X-OP serum, immediately lunged forward on all fours like rabid wolves. At this point, the two could barely be considered human anymore. Though their limbs still retained a humanoid structure, their minds were completely consumed by a beast-like frenzy.

"ROAR!!"

With an animalistic howl, the two monsters swung their clawed hands toward Rebecca, their speed so ferocious it was like being hit by a charging cybernetic freight train.

In the past, a strike like that would have been impossible for Rebecca to dodge—but not anymore.

Not since she equipped the [Project: Crazy] armor.

With its advanced kinetic enhancers and reaction boosters, her reflexes now far surpassed human limits.

You think you're insane?

I'm even crazier!

Just as Baker lunged forward, claws arcing through the air like razors, Rebecca laughed wildly and rushed in to meet him head-on.

"Grrrrr! Let me see just how strong those freaky hands of yours really are!"

Her pupils—one red, one green—contracted sharply as she charged, flashing with frenzied anticipation. She didn't look like a girl anymore. She looked like a demon-child born for chaos.

Feet pounding the ground, she closed the distance with Baker at lightning speed. As his claw swept toward her, she shifted her body and slipped under it with just centimeters to spare. Their faces nearly touched—only a thin, fluorescent visor separated them.

Through the mask, Baker saw something that shook him to his core.

Rebecca was smiling.

It wasn't forced. It wasn't fake.

It was pure, gleeful madness.

And for a brief moment—even in his berserk, mutated state—Baker flinched.

A flash of fear passed through his eyes.

But it was already too late.

In one swift motion, Rebecca reached for her waist and pulled something out with her backhand. With her free hand, she grabbed Baker's split jaw and yanked it open with surprising force.

"Giggle... Say aah! Here's a gift for you, baby!"

Before Baker could react, she shoved something into his mouth.

Then, with the grace of a cybernetic circus acrobat, she launched herself backward with a series of lightning-fast handsprings, flipping away from danger as effortlessly as she had entered it.

Baker choked and gagged, his bestial form stumbling back. He spat out whatever had been shoved down his throat—only to freeze when he saw what it was.

A small, cartoonish bomb in the shape of a crocodile.

Its eyes were flashing red.

Faster and faster.

The crocodile's mouth opened and closed in a mechanical chatter, almost adorably.

But the cuteness was only skin-deep.

Behind the synthetic charm was a deadly payload.

"Boom."

A deafening explosion tore through the alley.

The shockwave knocked Chrisman off his feet and slammed him into the opposite wall like a ragdoll.

Flames and metal bits burst in every direction, painting the surroundings in a bloody orange glow.

When the smoke cleared, half of Baker's face was gone. His right arm had been blown off at the elbow, twitching in a pool of blackened cybernetic fluid. The X-OP serum had mutated him into something durable—but not invincible.

"Yeeeeesssss!" Rebecca cheered, pumping her fist. "That was so satisfying!"

Sasha, standing a few meters away, had already drawn her own weapon and taken a combat stance. She didn't share Rebecca's gleeful madness, but she was just as efficient.

"Don't let your guard down," Sasha warned coldly. "Chrisman's still moving."

Sure enough, the mutated man groaned, pushing himself off the wall. His eyes burned with hatred, and his mouth opened in a snarl. His muscles pulsed unnaturally, skin stretching like rubber over bulging veins.

"RAAAAHHH!!"

With a bloodcurdling roar, Chrisman threw himself at Sasha.

But she was ready.

Sasha sidestepped at the last second, fluid and precise, and drove her knee into his abdomen with brutal force. Chrisman staggered—but didn't fall.

Instead, he spun and swiped at her with elongated claws, tearing a gash through the sleeve of her jacket.

"Tch."

She gritted her teeth and retaliated with a roundhouse kick to his temple.

Chrisman stumbled again.

"Rebecca, finish this clown already," Sasha snapped.

Rebecca needed no encouragement.

"Gladly!"

She activated the [Project: Crazy] armor's overdrive mode. Red lines lit up across her suit like glowing veins. A surge of power flooded her limbs.

In a blink, she dashed toward Chrisman like a missile, closed the gap, and drove her knee straight into his jaw.

Crack!

The force lifted Chrisman off his feet and sent him crashing through a stack of trash bins.

The mutated man lay still for a moment.

Then slowly, groggily, he began to rise again.

"Stubborn little freak," Rebecca muttered. "Alright, time for Round Two."

But before she could move, Sasha raised a hand.

"Wait."

Rebecca stopped.

Chrisman was convulsing.

His body began to expand once more—violently.

His skin cracked.

Cybernetic components burst from his shoulders.

His spine arched back as if it were about to snap.

"What the hell...?" Rebecca whispered.

Then, his body exploded in size. The X-OP serum had entered its final phase.

A towering beast now stood in his place. Almost three meters tall. Covered in armor-like plating. Blood-red eyes glowed beneath a horned, skull-like helmet fused to his face.

"Now that's just nasty," Rebecca said, unimpressed. "David's definitely gonna want a report on this mess."

"Agreed," Sasha replied, loading a fresh magazine into her gun. "The biotech company's gone too far. This isn't human experimentation—it's weaponized insanity."

"We're gonna need heavier firepower next time," Rebecca added.

The mutated Chrisman let out a roar that shook the surrounding buildings.

He charged—massive fists pounding the ground as he closed the distance.

Rebecca didn't flinch.

Neither did Sasha.

"Let's take this freak down," Sasha said calmly.

"Gladly," Rebecca smirked. "Let's show David what his girls can really do."
