Danmachi: Bell Gojo through the fictional Multiverse

Chapter 141: Dealings on Coruscant

The skyline of Coruscant sprawled endlessly, its gleaming spires reaching for the stars. The Royal Naboo Cruiser glided gracefully through the traffic lanes, heading toward the Galactic Senate building. Inside, the group was preparing for their respective missions.

Bell turned to Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. "Anakin, you're going with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to meet the Jedi Council. I'll project myself with you to keep tabs. I'll be joining Padmé to help with the Senate."

"Projection?" Qui-Gon asked, intrigued.

Bell smirked. "You'll see soon enough. Just focus on making a good impression."

The ship touched down, and the group disembarked. Anakin, excited but nervous, followed Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, while Bell and Padmé headed for the Senate chambers.

The Galactic Senate was as chaotic as ever, with arguments echoing through the vast chamber. Chancellor Valorum struggled to maintain order as Senator Amidala of Naboo took the floor.

Padmé spoke with passion, her frustration evident. "My people are dying while we sit here debating protocol! I demand immediate action!"

Bell stood behind her, his arms crossed. His presence, though silent, commanded attention.

The Senate erupted into murmurs. Chancellor Valorum looked uncomfortable, and Senator Palpatine, his smile thin, stood to offer his calm yet manipulative support. "Queen Amidala, while your plight is tragic, the Senate must follow due process—"

Bell stepped forward, cutting him off. His voice was steady but firm, carrying an undeniable weight. "Enough. The people of Naboo need action, not bureaucracy. Jedi and clones can handle this siege in hours. What excuse do you have to delay?"

Palpatine's yellow-tinged eyes flickered toward Bell, narrowing ever so slightly. "And who are you to dictate the Senate's actions?"

Bell smirked. "I'm not a politician, and I'm glad for it. But if I were, I'd at least pretend to care about saving lives instead of securing power."

The Senate chamber fell silent. Palpatine's face twitched, but he said nothing. Valorum, seizing the moment, announced, "The Senate will vote immediately to dispatch Jedi and Republic forces to liberate Naboo."

The decision passed quickly, much to Padmé's relief.

As the session adjourned, Bell and Padmé remained in the chamber. Padmé looked up at Bell, admiration in her eyes. "You're not a politician, but you've done more here in an hour than most senators do in a lifetime."

Bell shrugged. "Common sense goes a long way."

As they spoke, Senator Palpatine approached. But to Padmé's shock, he looked different—older, his face gaunt, and his eyes glowing faintly yellow. Bell noticed the change immediately, his gaze sharpening.

Without warning, Bell blurred forward, his hand glowing with Force energy. Before Palpatine could react, Bell struck the back of his neck with precision. Palpatine collapsed, unmoving.

"What did you do?" Padmé gasped.

"Neutralized him," Bell said casually. "He was radiating the Dark Side. No way I'm letting that slide."

Meanwhile, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin entered the grand halls of the Jedi Temple, where the Council awaited.

Master Yoda's ears perked up as he sensed the presence of Bell's projection alongside them. "Curious, this is. A Force projection, hmm?"

The projection of Bell gave a polite nod. "I thought I'd see what the Council is like for myself."

After a brief introduction, Anakin was presented as the potential Chosen One. The Council deliberated, with Mace Windu voicing skepticism. "The boy is too old to begin Jedi training. And you, Bell—you're far beyond the age limit."

Bell's projection chuckled. "Traditions are useful until they hold you back. The Order's numbers are thinning, yet suffering spreads across the galaxy. If we don't adapt, we'll be obsolete."

The Council was taken aback, but Yoda's wise gaze lingered on Bell. "Sense balance in you, I do. Strange, but strong."

Anakin chimed in. "We can help. Just give us a chance."

The discussion was interrupted as the real Bell entered with Padmé, his projection vanishing. Bell addressed Yoda directly. "There's a Sith in the Senate. I dealt with him, but the Dark Side is everywhere. You know this, don't you?"

Yoda sighed deeply. "Know this, I do. But act without proof, we cannot."

Bell shook his head. "Then let us act. Send Anakin and me to Naboo. We'll prove ourselves."

Reluctantly, the Council agreed.

Back on Naboo, the plan was set in motion. Gungan forces led the ground assault while Naboo's pilots took to space. Anakin found himself in a starfighter, guided by the Force as he destroyed the Federation's control ship, disabling the droid army.

Bell, along with Padmé, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan, infiltrated Theed Palace. Their combined efforts captured the Viceroy, ending the invasion.

As Naboo celebrated its liberation, Bell and Anakin bid Padmé farewell. The Queen, now truly admiring Bell, smiled warmly. "You're an unusual ally, Bell. But a good one."

Bell smirked. "I try."

The Royal Naboo Cruiser left Naboo behind, carrying Bell and Anakin back to Coruscant. Their journey as Jedi had begun, but the echoes of the Dark Side lingered, a reminder of the challenges yet to come.
