Chapter 1082: Fear The Unseen
With the plan set in motion and the help of others, Raze might even be able to pull off the entire situation in a single day, he believed. Which was a big relief. The words of Fixteen were in the back of his mind, that every time he did go away, something big seemed to happen. So he wanted to get it sorted even quicker than planned.
"Dark Spirit!" Harvey said. "I will get on the task as quickly as possible. It would be great if you could be involved in this as well. I believe showing the world your great powers will be able to strike fear and allow for holes to open up in our enemies as they scramble.
"Of course, I can handle this myself, but it was just a thought I had."
"I will have to arrive at some point to claim the items," Raze answered. "So if it comes to it and I have time, I will, but as you can see, I have other matters that I will be dealing with as well."
"Very well, then I shall deal with this task instantly. I have one word or piece of advice for you in the future. If you are in a tricky situation, or one that requires you in need of help, then repeat the first part of the phrase.
"Fear The Unseen," Harvey stated. "If a person is a member of the Dark Guild, they will reply back with, 'For we are always near.' If you hear this phrase repeated back, they are a member of the Dark Guild and will do whatever they can to help you."
"We also say this when meeting with other members, just to make sure that there isn't someone who has disguised themselves among us as well."
Raze nodded, imprinting the words, and with that, Harvey had left, and it was just Kelly on her own.
"I don't bring my magical watch with me into these meetings, so we'll have to get to the surface. I don't have direct contact with Alen, only Aurora, and honestly, I'm not sure she'll reply, but we'll have to go to the surface anyway," Kelly answered.
Raze agreed, and clicking his fingers, his clothing had changed from a robe to a blazer, making him stand out less. The two ventured up outside while Sophie the magical cat still continued to follow them.
Heading outside, the daylight was strong. It was the middle of the day, but they were in a secluded alleyway. Unlike before, Kelly didn't need to switch her clothes or hide them anymore. She had learned Dark magic enougb that had allowed her to just switch between clothing, which was certainly handy to have.
After grabbing her device, she had sent off a message to Aurora on it, explaining the situation. That her brother, that they had met that once, wished to meet with her brother. Kelly tried to be as nice as possible in the message, and even decided to try and get her to just contact her brother directly.
It wouldn't be long till she got a reply, but she still felt nervous. To which, Raze suggested the two of them walk the streets of Alterian for now. After reliving the memory of Jake in his head, he had wanted to just see a bit more of Alterian.
The busy wide sidewalks were filled with people minding their own business. With magic being used on nearly every corner, and in every shop. There was even a floating giant teacup pouring into smaller cups as an advertisement.
"If all goes well, there was something I wanted you to look into. Are you able to head to the central academy library today?" Raze asked.
"There's no classes today, but students can enter at any point to access its facilities. I'm assuming you want me to look up something this time," Kelly replied.
"Right, last time you did a good job on finding out about a particular person, but I wanted you to find out details about something else. Look through current and past mages that have a special affinity with Time Magic."
"Time Magic… that's incredibly rare. Can't the amount of people that deal with Time magic only be counted on one hand?" Kelly replied.
"Right, so it should be quite easy to find out something. I can't think of any that were outstanding myself. It was more just a gimmick to stop a particular item midair, or such. But even if their is power is small, I would love to have information brought up on them, small and large."
Kelly nodded. She understood why Raze might not want to go to the academy again. Particularly after what had occurred last time.
Just then, she could see her wristwatch vibrate, and a mystical image was shown. She read the message, and her cheeks started to flush red.
"Aurora's agreed to help out, but she says she'll only do it if you go on a date with her?" Kelly embarrassedly asked. Find adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
"A date with someone so young… it will be an annoyance for me," Raze answered. "For now, just lie and say I agree. It wouldn't be the worst thing that I have done."
Kelly decided to reply, and was a little delighted that he had claimed that the date would be just that, a lie for the situation.
After a short while later, her wristwatch vibrated again, giving her another answer.
"She said her brother has agreed to meet, it will be at their manor which is located on the west side in Petersvile? Do you know where that is?" Kelly asked.
"If they give me the general location, I'm sure I can find it. I've been to that area before," Raze answered.
"Well, he will meet you in two hours. So you have some time. I would suggest taking Sophie with you. She's incisive and people think of her just as a pet, but she might become a handy ally in tricky situations."
"Agreed, I won't deny help," Raze answered. "There is one more thing I wanted to ask you before we part ways though, how exactly did Harvey manage to grow the Dark Guild so large?"
