Chapter 290: 0288 Fair and just voting decision

Jackson and Jefferson, these two elderly figures, one a political celebrity, the other an important religious figure, have both achieved extraordinary feats in their respective domains.

These achievements were not awarded to them by others but snatched from others through repeated competitions.

The seats in the State Senate are limited; for someone to come in, someone else has to go out.

York State has a limited number of churches, and each parish can only have one chief Priest, not two people.

Beneath their glamorous appearances lies something difficult for others to comprehend; they have always known that Ms. Tracy, their daughter and niece, couldn't achieve her demands.

Trying to lead the whole matter without spending much by relying on those "features" of feminism, and wanting to obtain control over core benefits, was a joke on herself; she couldn't do it.

Forget about her, even if the president of the Federation Women's Rights Protection Association came, they couldn't do it either.

To put it bluntly, if the annual multimillion-dollar revenue was spent simply on deepening exchanges with some women, they might die of exhaustion on the floor!

From Ms. Tracy's face, the two elderly figures understood one thing: Tracy had awakened, something they had bet on before, wagering one dollar.

Jackson believed that his daughter would definitely be persuaded by Lynch. He knew some rumors about Lynch; this was a remarkable young man.

Jefferson, however, didn't believe Lynch could accomplish this, probably due to his work-related influences; he was more idealistic. He felt Tracy was a difficult woman, even though she was his niece, he still held that perception.

Now that everything was resolved, the two elderly figures became curious about what convinced Tracy to abandon those unrealistic ideas.

After Tracy sat down, she asked a question she had never cared about before, "Professional athlete transferring... is that the term, transferring?", and after receiving a positive answer, she continued, "Do they spend a lot of money when transferring?"

Men always take interest in sports, plus over the years, the United Transport Association's various promotional efforts have intentionally created conflicts between two cities to promote matches, likening sports fields to battlefields, and sports to wars, making people passionate about the exhilarating fight.

The two elderly figures also enjoyed watching sports matches; they had their loyal teams and naturally followed athlete transfer news.

Jackson nodded matter-of-factly and said, "During the last transfer period, the King's team spent a huge sum of 2.3 million to acquire their midfield core from the Giants team…"

Ms. Tracy slightly straightened up, gasping, realizing that just the transfer fee was equivalent to last year's total revenue of the women's rights association, and she now roughly understood what Lynch meant.

Women's rights organizations possess terrifying influence in certain areas; they can easily create a star, just as they did with female leaders in the past, inciting cheers for some manufactured stars.

They can also easily destroy people; once someone is deeply embroiled in scandals and controversies, they either submit or disappear from public view.

The same goes for athletes; whether suitable for transferring or continuing as athletes, or whether a club is discriminating against or abusing female athletes, are specialties of women's rights organizations.

They easily gain public trust and can start investigations, and even if nothing is found, it doesn't matter; a stain isn't easily washed off, and a stink remains even after a clean investigation.

After figuring this out, Ms. Tracy's thinking opened up; she had always lived in such an atypical political family, and her father and uncle's political actions had long influenced her.

She understood society better than others, but previously overvalued the astonishing Wealth, overlooking some invisible elements. Now she understood and was genuinely grateful to Lynch for reminding her, avoiding making wrong choices.

Quickly she shared some of her thoughts with Jackson and Jefferson, who nodded frequently after hearing. This strategy was ingenious, yielding visible benefits, and people would continue focusing on the United Transport Association, not knowing some perks had slipped into the pockets of the women's rights organization.

Finally, Mr. Jackson concluded, essentially saying, "Lynch was right."

After a night of rest, the next morning, Lynch, Mr. Fox, and other invited attendees sat in one of the meeting halls of a five-star hotel chain, which could accommodate two hundred people, but now only hosted about ten, appearing somewhat sparse.

Originally, the United Transport Association planned this meeting at the York State branch's conference room, but Ms. Tracy recalled what Lynch mentioned yesterday and requested a venue change an hour before the meeting began, reasoning the matter wasn't related to the United Transport Association directly, making hosting it within their facility inappropriate and sparking associations with the discussions.

Given such a request, the United Transport Association didn't insist, and they changed the venue.

The representative dispatched by the United Transport Association was young, seemingly just over thirty, appearing energetic and spirited, accompanied by an assistant, a bespectacled woman aged about twenty-seven or twenty-eight.

Both presented impressive appearances, slightly softening Ms. Tracy's stern expression.

The negotiations involved many aspects, and compared with the United Transport Association's years of related work, others were virtually amateurs, slowing the meeting process significantly.

The United Transport Association's representative proposed a general operation framework, led by the Association, assisted by women's rights organizations and others. The benefit presented to Lynch and his group was that the competition hosted by Count Kazriel would continue as the top-tier event in the women's professional rugby league.

Lynch's female rugby team would be viewed as a first-tier team, enjoying top broadcasting fees and various benefits. However, regarding future outcomes, they didn't specify, as competitive sports always witness winners and losers.

Additionally, the United Transport Association highlighted their promotional capacity and strong strategic partnerships. In the young representative's words, eighty-seven percent of television networks and channels in the Federation are closely connected with them; the remaining thirteen percent, due to being adult television networks, lack deep collaboration—

Prior attempts at cooperation, like adult sporting events, didn't yield high viewership. Adult program viewers didn't favor watching meaningless shows.

It's more of just wanting to see women running around without clothes; joining onsite events during women's rights organizations' activities costs nothing unlike subscribing to channels and programs, offering a more immersive experience.

Essentially, the United Transport Association didn't wish for matters to spiral out of control, thus the best way was to retain control, but this time they won't succeed as planned.

"You're talking about things too complicated; I still don't understand much now; such complexity and hassle now will only grow worse," Ms. Tracy frowned impatiently, "I have a proposal for you to consider…"

Others exchanged glances before focusing on her; she never let her gaze fall on Lynch, to conceal meeting him last night, "I suggest establishing a new organization, like the Federation Sports Association, we form a new institution."

Without waiting for others' reactions, she promptly said, "Let's name it 'Bail Federal Women's Professional Sports Development Promotion Association'; such a name suits our forthcoming work; hearing it immediately clarifies our purpose."

She took Lynch's casually suggested name and slightly modified it, directly adopting it, prompting the young representative just about to object to clamming up.

Undoubtedly, this name couldn't be born from a fleeting inspiration, and it quite aligns with their work content, simultaneously reflecting Ms. Tracy's extensive efforts.

Lynch nudged Mr. Fox, who was lost in thought; Mr. Fox suddenly stunned, then wore a sign of a benevolent smile, "I think this proposal is great!"

This was pre-discussed before the meeting; if Lynch nudged him, he says, "I think this proposal is great," if Lynch coughs, he states, "This proposal might be unsuitable," if Lynch taps the table with fingers, he says, "You are wasting time," followed by banging the table and leaving.

Just now, Lynch nudged him, and he said his assigned words, as if genuinely finding the proposal commendable.

Supported, Ms. Tracy gained confidence, gracefully nodding to Mr. Fox in acknowledgment of his support.

Count Kazriel's eyes roamed among faces at the table, suddenly smiling, "I think this proposal is great too."

A mere proposal act suddenly turned into a vote, with the United Transport Association's representatives unprepared for the fact two votes had already been cast.

Just as he was about to interrupt this untimely voting, Lynch leaned slightly back, "Why reject integrating individuals into a cohesive group, to unleash collective power, unified management, unified distribution?"

Lynch slightly raised his hand indicating, "I also support Ms. Tracy's proposal to establish a new organization managing operations regarding women's professional sports."

Two other teams' owners were friends of Count Kazriel, motivated to establish the rugby teams at his persuasion, in some respects having favors owed to him, thus they too consented.

Among a very short period, everyone's opinion unified, and the United Transport Association's representative grew restless since things diverged from their initial vision.
