"Chase!"

The leading man's eyes flashed with a cold gleam as he immediately used his movement technique, pursuing Chen Nan like a bolt of lightning.

"Big brother, I think we better use that magic treasure. If this guy escapes, we might not be able to explain ourselves when we return!" the scar-faced man said anxiously.

The man with triangular eyes sneered: "What are you afraid of? If Chen Nan truly had the strength to defeat us, why would he flee without a fight? The Soul Locking Talisman is too precious to use unless absolutely necessary!"

"Just as I suspected, they have treasures on them!" Chen Nan overheard their conversation, feeling a chill run through his heart.

Without further thought, he bit his tongue and increased his speed once more!

Upon seeing the cave where the giant python lived, a crafty gleam flashed in his eyes, and he resolutely entered.

Chen Nan's figure moved like a phantom in the darkness, his boots made almost no sound on the wet rocks.

A short distance behind, the triangular-eyed man's cold laughter echoed in the cave: "Trying to escape? Just a mere cave, where do you think you can hide?"

The scar-faced man closely followed, sparks flying as his Mountain Opening Axe scraped against the cave walls.

He added with a sinister smile: "Chen, when I catch you, I'll first break your legs; let's see how you run then!"

Dripping water echoed from deep within the cave, filling the air with a stench of rot.

Chen Nan's fingertips lightly brushed the wall, feeling the slick moss underneath.

His heartbeat was calm and strong as he counted the steps needed – just ten more to the giant python's lair!

The triangular-eyed man suddenly stopped, warily scanning his surroundings: "Wait... something's off about this cave..."

Before the words were fully spoken, the unsettling sound of scales rubbing together came from the darkness.

The scar-faced man abruptly turned, the axe blade slicing a cold gleam through the dark: "What the hell is that?!"

In the next second, a pair of crimson vertical pupils abruptly illuminated the darkness, akin to two lanterns stained with blood.

The massive body of the python slowly undulated, its scales glinting with a dim metallic sheen in the faint light.

Its tongue was as thick as an adult's arm, tracing a dangerous path through the air.

"Holy shit! It's a Mystic Python at the sixth level of the Foundation Establishment Stage!" The triangular-eyed man's voice suddenly escalated, the flesh on his face trembling without cease.

The poisoned short blade in his hand glimmered eerily in the dark, yet seemed so insignificant.

The scar-faced man staggered back, nearly dropping his axe: "Big, big brother...this beast's strength is too overwhelming, can we even handle it?"

The python's head slowly lifted, revealing the fan-shaped scales on its neck.

It opened its massive maw, exposing four curved fangs dripping with transparent venom.

The cave instantly filled with a pungent, stinking odor.

Chen Nan took advantage of the python being distracted and moved along the cave wall like a nimble cat.

As he retreated behind a large stone near the cave entrance, a cold smile curved on his lips.

Meanwhile, the python suddenly launched an attack, its thick tail sweeping through the air with a sonic boom.

The triangular-eyed man hastily raised his blade to block, sparks showering as the short blade collided with scales.

The massive impact sent him flying like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily against the rock wall as debris scattered down.

"Big brother!" The scar-faced man roared furiously, swinging his Mountain Opening Axe in a Powerful Slash of Hua Mountain.

The axe blade, howling with wind, struck the python's vital spot, but only left a white scar on its hard scales.

Enraged, the python twisted its massive body, its tail snapping like a whip.

The scar-faced man tried to dodge, but was still grazed on the shoulder.

With a crack, his left arm twisted into an awkward angle.

Agonized, he let out a beast-like howl, stumbling backward.

The python pursued relentlessly, its massive form swimming deftly through the narrow cave.

It opened its blood-filled mouth, baring four venom-dripping fangs, lunging at the scar-faced man.

The scar-faced man rolled desperately, barely dodging the lethal strike, but was once again swept by the tail, tossed like a ragdoll several meters away.

"No, we can't!" The triangular-eyed man struggled to rise, fresh blood trickling from his mouth.

His eyes finally reflected desperation and endless fury: "This beast is too strong..."

The scar-faced man spat a blood-tinged saliva, face twisted like a demon: "It's all that scum Chen Nan's fault! He intentionally lured us here, hoping the python would get rid of us!"

"Congratulations, you get it right!" Chen Nan laughed heartily.

The triangular-eyed man was filled with rage, not expecting Chen Nan to be so cunning and treacherous; had he known, he wouldn't have hesitated to use the Soul Locking Talisman!

The python allowed no respite, its massive form weaving through the cave, forcing the two into a corner.

The triangular-eyed man suddenly pulled out a talisman from his bosom, its runes gleaming eerily in the dark.

"All or nothing!"

He bit his tongue, spraying blood onto the talisman.

The talisman burst into flames, transforming into several black chains entangling the python.

Reluctantly, he had to use this precious item, for his life was now on the line.

The python let out a deafening screech, its body thrashing violently but unable to break free temporarily.

"It worked!" The scar-faced man struggled to get up, ecstasy on his face: "Big brother, now's our chance to kill it!"

However, the triangular-eyed man's face was ashen: "The Soul Locking Talisman just temporarily suppresses it; we need to flee now!"

They had no choice but to abandon their pursuit of Chen Nan and stagger toward the cave entrance.

Yet, the python suddenly lifted its head and let out a piercing shriek, its scales standing on end as the black chains shattered inch by inch.

Its blood-red eyes burned with raging fury, pursuing with even greater speed!

"It's over!" The scar-faced man turned back, petrified.

The python lunged, sinking its fangs deep into his shoulder.

The scar-faced man let out an ear-splitting scream, his body flung into the air and crashing heavily onto the ground.

He convulsed a few times, then lay still.

The triangular-eyed man was wholly broken, fleeing and shouting hysterically: "Chen Nan! Save me! I swear allegiance to you, serving you for life!"

He knew that now only Chen Nan could save his life!

Chen Nan coldly watched from the cave entrance, his eyes showing no emotion.

Having dispatched the scar-faced man, the python quickly caught up with the triangular-eyed man.

The latter swung his short blade desperately, the poisoned blade trailing a blue arc through the air.

The python deftly avoided it, its tail snapping like a steel whip.

"Crack!"

The triangular-eyed man's chest caved, ribs shattered completely.

He flew like a ragdoll, crashing into the rock wall and sliding down, blood gushing from his mouth.

The python slowly slithered up to him, looming over the small figure.

It opened its mouth wide, the venom dripping from its fangs corroding the ground with small pits.

"No...please..." The triangular-eyed man stretched out a trembling hand, eyes full of pleading.

The python gave him no chance, biting down in one swift motion!

"Ah——"

The scream cut off abruptly, replaced by the chilling sound of crunching...
