DBZ Goten : Become Stronger By Defeating Your Opponent

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: A Hero For Fun

"So, Goten," Trunks began eagerly, "are you interested in forming a hero team with me?"

"Not interested," Goten replied flatly, shaking his head.

Trunks groaned. "Come on, Goten! If you become a hero, you'll be as popular as Mr. Satan!"

"I don't want that kind of popularity."

"Please, Goten! I'm begging you to form a hero team with me!" Trunks clasped his hands together in a pleading gesture. "How about this? I'll give you any gamestation you want from my house if you agree!"

Goten hesitated for a moment before shaking his head again. "I'd rather keep practicing. Why don't you ask Uncle Piccolo?"

"No way! Uncle Piccolo looks too scary, and I doubt he'd agree."

Trunks sighed, racking his brain for another strategy. "Alright, how about this: if you join me, I'll help you with your homework!"

Goten paused, visibly intrigued. Having help with his homework would give him more time to train.

"Alright," Goten said with a reluctant nod. "But there are conditions. You can't take up too much of my time, and after we form the team, I'll join you at first, but later it'll mostly be up to you."

"Mostly me? Won't that make me a lone ranger?"

"No, it just means you'll take the lead. If you don't like it, forget the whole thing."

"Fine, fine, I agree!" Trunks said quickly. He knew he needed to secure Goten's involvement, even if it meant compromising.

"Alright then," Trunks said, a grin spreading across his face. "Since we're forming a hero team, we need a name!"

"Good idea," Goten replied.

"How about... Superhero Team?"

Goten frowned. "Too generic."

"Flying Combination?"

"Sounds bland."

"The Wonderful Duo?"

"It's okay, but still not great."

After tossing around ideas for a while, Goten suddenly thought of a concept from an anime he remembered from his previous life. "How about One Punch Men?"

"One Punch Men?" Trunks repeated, intrigued.

"Yeah, it means all our enemies get knocked out with one punch!"

Trunks nodded thoughtfully. "That's an interesting name. What about our heroic slogan?"

"A hero for fun," Goten suggested.

"A hero for fun?" Trunks repeated, scratching his head. "Hmm... okay, we'll roll with that."

"What about our names?" Trunks asked.

"Names aren't that important. We can just use code names. I'll be number one, and you'll be number two," Goten said nonchalantly.

"Wait, why am I number two?" Trunks protested.

"Because I came up with the name," Goten replied with a smirk.

"That's not fair! Besides, didn't you say I'd be the main one showing up later on?"

After some bickering, Trunks eventually gave in, though he grumbled under his breath about it.

"By the way, I came up with a great heroic line. Want to hear it?" Goten asked.

"Sure," Trunks said, albeit cautiously.

Goten cleared his throat dramatically. "To protect the world from devastation! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth and love! To extend our reach to the stars above! We are the One Punch Men! Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

Trunks stared at him in silence for a moment before bursting out laughing. "Goten, where did you come up with that cringey line?!"

"I read it in a book," Goten replied with a straight face.

"What book?"

"A Manga," Goten said vaguely.

Trunks shook his head, still chuckling. "Alright, we'll stick to something less... chuunibyou."

"Okay," Goten agreed. "How about superhero outfits? We need matching costumes."

"Matching costumes?"

"For unity!"

"Fine, but what kind of design are you thinking?"

"We'll need something that covers our faces. I don't want to be recognized, and you'll inherit your family's company someday, so it's better to keep your identity secret."

Trunks nodded. "Good point. Any ideas?"

"How about a yellow jumpsuit and a cape?" Goten suggested.

"Yellow? That's... a bit much," Trunks said, grimacing.

After debating costume designs, they settled on a sleek black outfit with capes. They also decided to have Piccolo-style backup costumes for variety.

Planet Cereal

Granola sat atop a large rock, staring at the sky. A year had passed since Elec's death, and though Granola hadn't completely let go of his hatred for Frieza, his obsession had lessened. Monaito had advised him to move on, but it wasn't easy.

His thoughts were interrupted when the sky suddenly darkened, resembling the night-like conditions on Namek. A golden light flashed briefly, drawing his attention.

Granola flew toward the light's source, but by the time he arrived, it had already faded. He spotted a spaceship leaving Planet Cereal.

"Someone made a wish..." Granola muttered, his expression darkening.

Earth

Elsewhere, an old man wandered aimlessly, his eyes wide with confusion.

"This place... is it Earth?" he murmured.

The man was none other than Dr. Gero, thought to have been killed by Android 17. Yet here he was, his heart filled with unresolved resentment.
