Chapter 186: Chapter 186: Caulifla Comes to Universe 7
"Goten, do you know how much it would cost to create an army of tens of thousands of androids?" Trunks asked, arms crossed.
"I have no idea!" Goten replied nonchalantly.
"Let me put it this way—if we sold everything we owned, it still might not be enough to fund an army that size!" Trunks exclaimed.
"That much money?" Goten said, wide-eyed.
"Exactly," Trunks replied with a nod.
"What about just a few hundred androids, then?"
"A few hundred? That's doable, but I doubt my mom would agree to funding that many Android," Trunks pointed out.
"That's true," Goten admitted thoughtfully.
"Alright, let's head to your company and see what we can figure out," Goten suggested.
"Good idea," Trunks agreed.
After some time, the two arrived at the towering 30-story building that housed the Universal Capsule Company. Its sleek design stood as a testament to the wealth and influence of the Briefs family.
At the entrance, two uniformed security guards snapped to attention as they saw Trunks approach.
"Master Trunks!" they greeted respectfully.
Trunks nodded in acknowledgment.
One of the guards looked curiously at Goten. "Master Trunks, who is he?"
"He's my friend, Goten," Trunks replied.
"Hello, Master Goten!" the guards said in unison, bowing slightly.
Goten gave a polite nod, still unused to this level of formality.
Inside, the lobby bustled with activity. The atmosphere was lively, with employees—most of them young and impeccably dressed—moving purposefully between tasks.
"Wow, Trunks, your company is huge!" Goten said, glancing around.
Trunks shrugged. "It's alright."
The two made their way to the elevator and rode up to the 25th floor, where Dr. Hedo's office was located.
Upon entering, they found Dr. Hedo seated at his desk, his expression one of calm focus.
"Dr. Hedo!" Goten greeted with a smile.
Dr. Hedo looked up and nodded. "Ah, One Punch Men No. 1, I presume?"
"Yep, that's me," Goten confirmed.
"Why are you here?" Dr. Hedo asked curiously.
"I want your help to create an army of android heroes to protect the Earth," Goten said directly.
"An android army?" Dr. Hedo repeated, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," Goten explained. "The Earth has faced crisis after crisis in recent decades. I'm worried that even stronger enemies will come in the future. We need defenders—heroes who can fight even when we're not around."
Dr. Hedo considered this. "Creating such an army would require resources—significant resources. Do you have that kind of funding?"
Before Goten could reply, Android 21 entered the room, her presence commanding immediate attention.
"And what brings you here?" she asked, her voice calm but curious.
"Auntie 21, I was hoping you could help as well," Goten said. "With your expertise and Dr. Hedo's ingenuity, we can make this happen."
Android 21 tapped her chin thoughtfully. "I'm not opposed to the idea, but Goten, funding something like this won't come cheap. Can you afford it?"
"Don't worry about the money," Goten said confidently. "I've got it covered."
Dr. Hedo's eyes narrowed in skepticism, but he said nothing.
"Alright, we'll do it," Android 21 finally said.
"Perfect!" Goten grinned. "I'll come back in a few days to check on things."
With that, Goten and Trunks left the office.
Three days later, Goten returned to the Universal Capsule Company. This time, he handed Android 21 a golden card.
"This should cover the costs," he said. "There are tens of billions on here. Let me know if you need more."
Dr. Hedo nearly dropped his pen in shock. "Tens of billions?!" he stammered.
Goten nodded. "Yep. Use it wisely."
Dr. Hedo exchanged a glance with Android 21, who remained composed. "Alright," she said. "We'll start immediately."
Meanwhile, back at Bulma's house in West City, Trunks was sparring with Gamma 1 on the lawn. Their movements were sharp and precise, their strikes powerful enough to create small shockwaves.
As they fought, a flash of light appeared above them. From the glowing radiance descended four figures: Champa, Vados, Caulifla, and Kale.
Trunks and Gamma 1 halted their sparring as Goten arrived just in time to witness the unexpected visitors.
"Lord Champa!" Goten called out, surprised.
"Long time no see, Goten," Vados said with a smile. "You've grown taller since the last time we met."
"Sister Vados," Goten greeted respectfully.
Caulifla stepped forward, her arms crossed confidently. "Goten, you remember me, right? We fought in the Tournament of Power!"
"Caulifla," Goten acknowledged, nodding. His gaze shifted to the figure standing beside her. "And Kale."
Kale blushed lightly but nodded in return.
"Why are you here, Lord Champa?" Goten asked, his curiosity piqued.
"They wanted to visit you," Champa replied lazily. "I figured I'd tag along."
Caulifla's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Goten, I need to know—how did you get so strong?"
Trunks smirked from the sidelines. "That's a question I've asked him a dozen times."
Goten chuckled. "It takes talent," he began, "but more than that, it takes hard work. My father wasn't always as strong as he is now. He trained endlessly to reach his level."
Caulifla tilted her head. "Hard work, huh? But I heard from Vados that you have the ability to unlock someone's potential. Is that true?"
Goten hesitated. "Well… sort of."
"Then can you help me unlock mine?" Caulifla asked eagerly.
