DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 213: Chapter 213 The True Master of New York!

"I…"

Facing Anton interrogation, Electro let out a cold laugh, preparing to resist at all costs.

Yet, before he could control himself, a strange force compelled his mouth to utter an entirely different response

"They drugged the food. I passed out in my prison cell and woke up in an unfamiliar house outside of prison. I never saw who they were from beginning to end."

The moment the words left his mouth, Electro froze.

He stared blankly at Anton, mumbling, "How is this possible? How are you doing this?"

"This isn't your turn to ask questions."

Anton, unsurprised, smirked coldly. "Tell me what you know."

Electro, still unable to resist the power of the Lasso of Truth, continued to spill the truth

"The person who contacted me was a hacker—someone who never showed their face but was incredibly skilled.

They took control of all the surveillance cameras in New York to track your movements."

"A hacker?"

Anton frowned slightly. "Where was the house you woke up in?"

"Brooklyn…"

Under the influence of the Lasso of Truth, Electro had no choice but to answer every question obediently.

Anton pieced the puzzle together.

Within Hydra, the mention of a hacker didn't immediately bring any specific figure to mind.

But shifting perspective—from "hacker" to "artificial intelligence," or more precisely, "digital consciousness"—left only one possibility.

"Dr. Zola!"

Anton quickly identified his opponent. After a brief pause, he gestured toward Wonder Woman.

The gesture wasn't necessary—being an avatar of Anton, Wonder Woman already knew what he intended.

Whoosh!

With the Lasso of Truth binding Electro, Wonder Woman bent her knees and launched into the air like a rocket, carrying Electro away into the distance.

"Hey!!"

Suddenly, a familiar sound reached Anton ears.

Beep beep beep beep!

The truck driven by the turtles and the police car carrying George Stacy finally arrived, speeding around the corner of the street.

"Anton, where did she take Electro?"

"Was that Wonder Woman?!"

"Shit, I was only a minute late! What the hell did I miss?!"

The turtles, staring at Wonder Woman disappearing into the horizon, looked visibly stunned—even their green faces showed expressions of shock.

Especially Michelangelo, who was utterly heartbroken.

But then, something occurred to him, and his mood flipped. He brightened up and quickly asked,

"Anton, if Wonder Woman is part of our team, that means we'll see her again, right?"

"There will be plenty of opportunities in the future," Anton replied.

"Anton, she… where did Wonder Woman take Electro?"

George hurriedly stepped out of the police car, rushing to Anton side with a look of exasperation.

He had assumed he could take Electro back to prison.

"Captain Stacy, things are different now. Someone has declared war on us!"

Anton tone, though calm, carried a hint of menace that sent a chill down George Stacy spine.

"We've found a more suitable place to deal with Electro."

After a brief pause, he added, "I can assure you, he will never reappear."

"This…"

George was startled again. Watching Anton turn and walk into the Wayne Enterprises building, then glancing at the four turtles pretending not to have heard anything, he sighed.

"Fine!"

Resigned, he muttered, "I knew it wouldn't be that simple!"

Next to New York lay an endless expanse of ocean.

At this moment, a slender and tall figure, dragging another blue figure with a golden lasso, streaked through the sky like lightning, arriving above the tumultuous waves of the vast sea.

"You…"

Suspended in mid-air by the golden rope, Electro stared at the stunning yet calm face before him, a terror unlike anything he had ever felt rising in his heart.

He screamed, "Are you going to kill me?"

"You should have foreseen this outcome long ago," Wonder Woman replied calmly, releasing the Lasso of Truth.

Whoosh!

Electro plummeted from the sky, plunging into the endless, churning ocean below.

Zzzz zzzz zzzz!

When a battery or power source falls into water, its fate is destruction.

For Electro, water was his ultimate nemesis.

Faced with the boundless ocean, even with his powers, he had no chance of survival.

Hovering in the air, Wonder Woman coldly watched as Electro struggled in the water before gradually sinking into the depths of an unfathomable sea. Only then did her form flash and return to Anton side.

Meanwhile,

Anton entered Wayne Enterprises and stood outside the chairman office.

Inside, the old man and others were waiting for him.

"That Wonder Woman…"

John couldn't help but ask, "Is she a member of the Justice League?"

Anton rolled his eyes and said irritably, "John, you clearly haven't watched any of DC works, have you? How can you even ask that?"

"Boss, that was incredible!"

Phil gave him a thumbs-up, shamelessly flattering, "I've already seen a ton of videos and photos online from earlier. You're definitely going viral again!"

"I'm already viral enough!"

After chatting for a bit, Anton noticed police officers from the NYPD entering Wayne Enterprises. Turning to the old man and the others, he said,

"It about time. You should head over to Osborne Corporation and then proceed to Washington. The military turf is relatively safe."

"Alright."

The old man nodded. "Take care of yourself."

With that, they left Wayne Enterprises.

George Stacy, showing considerable restraint, had no intention of keeping them back for questioning.

The situation was clear enough.

Electro attack on Wayne Enterprises had a single target: Anton.

The motive was just as obvious.

At the previous Stark Expo, Anton had subdued Electro—this was an act of revenge.

"Anton."

George approached Anton again, having pieced together details from the accounts of onlookers.

He knew that Anton, with Wonder Woman help, had interrogated Electro.

Anton public identity wasn't just as a renowned director and entrepreneur; he was also recognized as a colleague and ally of Batman.

This left George no room to be anything but polite as he asked,

"Did you manage to get anything out of Electro? Who behind the mass prison break? This is critical for the NYPD, and I hope you can share what you know."

"He was tight-lipped," Anton said, shaking his head, withholding the truth from George.

This matter was far beyond the jurisdiction or capacity of the NYPD.

However, there was one thing George could help with.

"Captain Stacy," Anton began, pausing for a moment.

Before George could show any disappointment, he continued, "I've just received some information. It important for both of us."

"What information?" George asked, intrigued.

"Kingpin has escaped from S.H.I.E.L.D. prison," Anton said calmly. "It seems he already found a way back to New York."

"What?!"

George eyes widened in shock, his face filled with disbelief.

"Kingpin is back?" he muttered, momentarily at a loss for words.

The surrounding officers, who overheard the conversation, mirrored his astonishment.

"Don't worry," Anton said, his sharp gaze sweeping across the room, locking onto everyone faces.

"Kingpin himself is not the threat. The organization that helped him escape is.

But since they think Kingpin will cause us trouble, let show them that even after escaping, he just a beaten dog with no real power."

"George, mobilize the entire NYPD to track Kingpin whereabouts.

I'll call Winston and have the Continental Hotel and the High Table fully cooperate with your operations.

From now on, every person in New York could be our eyes."

"In addition, the Justice League will support your efforts."

When Anton finished speaking, the room fell silent for several seconds.

George stood frozen, realizing he had nothing to say. At this moment, it seemed all he could do was follow Anton instructions.

In that instant, Anton felt more like the NYPD Commissioner than George did.

"You all heard that?"

George turned to his officers, finding his voice again. "What are you waiting for? Get moving!"

"Yes, sir!"

The officers nodded and hurried off.

"George, don't worry," Anton said, pulling a cigar from the drawer of the old man desk. He walked over to the window, gazing out at the sunset.

With the cigar between his teeth, he turned back to George, his calm eyes burning with intensity.

"We'll make sure everyone knows who really runs New York."

"Alright."

George swallowed hard, seeing a shadow of Kingpin in Anton.

But without a doubt, compared to Anton now, Kingpin was nothing.

Anton was the true master of New York.

Usually keeping a low profile, but when the moment came, even the police had no choice but to follow his lead.
