Chapter 4: Remember no dıamonds.

A week had passed, and Felix was almost daily assigned tasks by the Adjudicator.

Most of the people dealing with the Continental were left alive; he never killed them, leaving the dirty work to others.

It could be said that he broke a record—within a week, he collected a total of 70 gold coins and earned 70 million dollars.

Each target was worth 10 million dollars and 10 gold coins.

It was a lot of money, but the missions were risky.

At the Continental, missions were classified by danger levels, ranging from F (the smallest) to SSS (the highest).

An F-rank mission was as simple as killing an ordinary person on the street.

An SSS-rank mission? That was like trying to assassinate the President of the United States while being blind and deaf—using only a balloon.

So far, Felix had completed seven S-rank missions this week.

It was even considered cheap for what he accomplished.

But he got what he wanted—his name spread in the assassin community.

Many sought him out daily.

The name "Bloodhound" was respected, and only a handful of people knew his real identity.

The Continental gave him a special card—gold and black in color.

It symbolized authority in his hands.

While at school, Felix would monitor his system:

[Completed Templates: Deathstroke, Agent 47]

Toji was taking longer—this version of him was stronger, more intelligent, and required mastery over Cursed Energy, including Reverse Cursed Technique.

Felix checked his bag. He had 110 gold coins—70 from this week's jobs and 40 from a reward given by Prometheus.

He put 10 gold coins in his pocket.

Now, he wore the bulletproof suit gifted by the Continental.

The Black Tiger gang had been bothering him a lot this week.

But Felix only knocked them out instead of killing them.

Even this was mercy.

The Continental Hotel provided him with the gang leader's location.

15 Minutes Later

Felix found the building—it was in the suburbs of the city.

A huge complex belonging to them.

Two guards stood at the entrance.

Felix knocked them out in a single millisecond.

He entered the building and interrogated the men inside.

The boss was definitely inside.

Moving stealthily, Felix reached the boss's office, drew his gun, and kicked the door open.

The boss raised his hands.

Felix sat across from him and pulled out his Continental card—the name "Bloodhound" was engraved on it.

The boss recognized the name—a rising figure in the underworld.

Why was he here?

Felix slammed his gun on the table and spoke:

"It's time to choose. Either stop sending your men after me, or I blow this place up."

The boss knew he wasn't bluffing—even if Bloodhound was new, he was not a joke.

The boss surrendered:

"Fine. You won't be bothered again, I swear."

No one would dare trouble him anymore.

Evening

Felix returned home—but an unexpected guest was waiting.

Batman.

He had been watching Felix closely.

He knew everything Felix had done—and he wasn't pleased.

Batman said nothing—he just walked toward Felix.

Then, he punched Felix in the face.

Felix's head snapped back, but he drew a combat knife and injected Cursed Energy into it before stabbing Batman's leg.

Batman retaliated—punching Felix so hard he coughed blood.

Batman roared in anger:

"Why did you do this?! You're still young! Why did you enter the criminal world?!"

Felix simply spat blood onto the floor:

"I do what I want, Batman. You can't interfere."

Batman grabbed Felix's collar and spoke again:

"Some of the people you captured had families!"

Felix stared at him blankly:

"Don't forget—I'm a mercenary. Anything that gets in my way disappears."

Felix pulled the knife from Batman's leg and stored it in his inventory.

Then, he shoved Batman away and got into a fighting stance.

Batman did the same.

Felix made the first move, throwing a direct punch—Batman dodged.

Then, Batman threw a gadget, making Felix's head snap back.

Felix used the momentum to headbutt Batman.

Felix wasn't worried—he noticed that Batman's armor absorbed kinetic energy, making attacks 90% less effective.

That's why Felix used full force—and even then, Batman struggled to keep up.

Batman staggered back, and Felix aimed a kick at his injured leg.

But Batman blocked it with his knee.

Felix then grabbed Batman by the waist and smashed him through walls—until they both fell off the balcony.

Felix's apartment was on the 12th floor.

They were falling into the alleyway below.

Mid-air, Batman punched Felix's throat:

"Let go! We'll die!"

Felix **released Batman—**but kicked him down, accelerating his fall.

Suddenly, Batman spread his wings, slowing his descent.

But Felix landed directly on Batman's chest.

Batman hit the ground hard—Felix on top of him.

Felix drew his Desert Eagle and pressed it against Batman's forehead.

His voice was cold:

"Don't move."

Batman obeyed—he knew Felix would pull the trigger.

Felix smirked:

"Listen carefully, Bat. I chose to be a mercenary. Either leave me alone, or you'll regret it."

Batman remained silent.

"Gotham is swallowing you whole," Batman finally said.

Felix just laughed—then got serious:

"Goodnight, Bat."

Before Batman could reply, Felix knocked him out with the gun's handle.

But as he looked down, he noticed—Batman had thrown a Batarang into his leg before passing out.

Even unconscious, Batman still managed to injure him.

Felix sighed, picked up Batman, used his grappling hook, and disappeared into the night.

40 Minutes Later

Batman woke up with a headache.

He failed to teach Felix a lesson.

He immediately stood up—he was in a different house.

Felix looked at Batman and smirked:

"Hey, Bat. Good morning, buddy. Sleep well? Anyway, let this be a lesson to you—we're in an abandoned house."

Batman scanned the area.

Then, he sighed, looking over his shoulder at Felix:

"Felix, I still have hope in you. You haven't killed anyone yet. Let me help you."

Felix's heart wavered.

This man… truly cared about him.

For the first time, Felix felt something unfamiliar—warmth.

Felix looked down, his voice melancholic:

"You're a good man, Bat. I respect you."

Batman's eyes widened—but he said nothing.

He threw a smoke bomb and disappeared.

Felix simply watched him go—and smiled.

Then, a message arrived.

Adjudicator: "We have an urgent mission. The reward is big."

Felix frowned—and vanished into the night.

One Hour Later

Felix entered as usual in his armor—most people recognized him by now. The referee was there, looking anxious.

Felix and the referee walked into the office. Without a word, the referee handed him a file.

Felix took the file and read:

Target: Ancient Texts from Gotham Museum

Difficulty: SS

Reward: 100 gold coins, $300 million

Felix stared at the mission. Why is this so difficult? This is madness.

He turned to the referee. "Why is the difficulty so high?"

The referee looked completely drained. "Getting into the White House would be easier than reaching that diamond. You have only one chance. In one week, the exhibition will take place, and the diamond will be out of its hidden vault. Every wealthy figure in Gotham will attend. According to the intel, it will be guarded by 100 super-soldiers. In Gotham, only two people can pull this off: you and Deathstroke. But Deathstroke refused."

Felix's expression turned serious. "If I succeed, I have demands. First, I need equipment. Second, I need the building's blueprint. Third, you will increase my reputation in Gotham."

The referee sighed as if he wanted to die. "Those are simple requests. Just be careful, Bloodhound. You're too valuable to us."

Felix smirked. "Thanks. Oh, one more thing—my house got a little wrecked. Can you get it repaired?"

Felix tossed two gold coins to the referee.

The referee nodded. "Consider it done."

And with that, Felix left. This time, he made better preparations—more weapons, all customized with skins, and materials to upgrade his armor. His armor was now more efficient, flexible, and durable.

Now, it was just a matter of waiting.

The Day of the Exhibition

All of Gotham was buzzing with excitement. A special artifact was being displayed today. Every wealthy figure was in attendance—including Bruce Wayne.

Felix, observing from a rooftop across the museum, pulled out his binoculars. The entire area was crawling with security. And they weren't just ordinary guards.

A direct confrontation would be a waste of time.

Felix glanced at the rooftop—20 guards were stationed there, all expecting an aerial attack.

He changed into a Continental-issued suit before approaching the entrance. Presenting a fake ID, he passed through the four layers of security. The Continental had arranged everything for him.

Once inside, he scanned the crowd. The mayor, police commissioner, Penguin, Bruce Wayne, and even Lex Luthor were present. Strange. Luthor rarely visits Gotham. He must be interested in something here.

Felix located the emergency exit. A guard was stationed there.

Felix whispered, "Morningstar."

The guard stepped aside. He was a Continental agent hired for this job.

Felix ascended the staircase, silently taking down several guards along the way, stacking their unconscious bodies neatly.

Reaching the rooftop, he pulled Playful Cloud from his inventory—one of Toji Fushiguro's weapons. Infusing his body with cursed energy, he moved at blinding speed, leaving afterimages.

The guards barely had time to react before the lights suddenly cut out—Felix had used an EMP.

The only sound in the darkness was the snapping of bones.

In just one second, Felix had already knocked out four guards.

By the time they registered the attack, he was gone.

Felix was now the only one left on the roof, standing directly above the diamond.

Pulling out his phone, he called the referee.

Felix: "Activate it."

A soft click was heard, and suddenly, all the lights in the museum went out. They would remain off for five minutes.

Felix detonated the ceiling and dropped directly onto the diamond, absorbing it—along with its protective glass—into his inventory.

Screams erupted across the museum.

But just as he was about to escape, a claw struck his armor.

Felix turned his head and saw Catwoman.

"Give me back my diamond," she demanded.

Then, a fist slammed into the back of his neck.

Felix groaned. "Batman..."

Batman stood before him, glaring. "Return what you stole."

Felix smirked and flipped him off.

Catwoman lunged at him. Felix blocked every strike with Playful Cloud. Batman attacked, but Felix countered, smashing his weapon into Batman's head, sending him flying into a wall.

Damn... Batman is playing Superman today.

Catwoman's eyes widened. Felix took advantage of her hesitation—slamming his weapon into her knee. She dropped to the floor.

Then, Felix kicked her in the head.

The lights came back on.

Both Batman and Catwoman were down.

The guards surrounded Felix, guns aimed.

Without hesitation, he threw a smoke bomb and grappled back up to the rooftop.

More guards awaited him there, forcing him into close-quarters combat. But Felix had an ace up his sleeve—his armor emitted a blinding white light.

The soldiers shielded their eyes, giving Felix the chance to make his escape.

Without a second thought, he leaped off the building—a leap of faith.

This was insanity.

Felix landed on a car. People gasped in shock.

He pressed a detonator. A section of the museum exploded—just 10 kilos of TNT. Enough to buy him time.

Regaining his balance, Felix grappled away.

But a news helicopter was following him.

Felix smirked. Perfect.

He latched onto the helicopter with his grappling hook and climbed up.

The reporter inside was shaking. The pilot tried to shake him off.

Felix forced the door open and took the reporter hostage.

"Fly to the docks," he ordered.

The pilot had no choice but to comply.

Upon reaching the docks, Felix jumped into the water.

He waited until the helicopter left before surfacing.

Felix took out the diamond, still encased in protective glass.

Using a lightsaber, he melted the glass—leaving the diamond untouched.

He stored the diamond in his inventory and erased all evidence.

One Hour Later

Felix entered the Continental Hotel.

The adjudicator was there, visibly relieved.

Felix was immediately taken to the office—where Lex Luthor was waiting.

Felix frowned. "Why are you here?"

Lex smirked. "I commissioned the job."

Felix glanced at the adjudicator. "Mission complete. Where's my reward?"

The adjudicator handed him a safe. Felix took it without hesitation.

Then, he turned to Lex, who held out his hand.

Felix pulled the diamond from his inventory and handed it over.

Lex chuckled. "You did well. No one died—though some are in critical condition. Small details. Oh, and you managed to beat both Catwoman and Batman? Impressive. I expected nothing less from you. I'd like to do more business with you in the future."

Lex extended his hand.

Felix shook it. "If you ever need another job done, just call me."

Felix took his safe and walked away.

(Extra Info: The diamond Felix stole was called the Hope Diamond.)

Back home, Felix checked his system.

[Assimilation: Toji Fushiguro – 70%]

Felix saw Toji's memories more clearly—his motivations, his past.

He sighed and collapsed onto his bed.

What a day.
