Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1663: Reunion 3

The morning sun streamed through the large windows of Alex's private chambers, casting a golden glow across the expansive bathroom. The tub, more akin to a small pool, was already filled with warm water that rippled invitingly. A faint scent of lavender and jasmine rose from the surface, mingling with the soft hum of magical heating stones beneath it.

Alex stood by the edge, his hand clasped in Maria's as they both stepped into the warm water. The initial touch sent a wave of soothing relaxation through them, but it wasn't long before playful energy took over.

Maria splashed water at Alex with a mischievous grin, her long white hair tumbling over her shoulders as droplets clung to her skin. "Still think you're the unbeatable one, huh?" she teased, laughing as Alex dodged her playful attack.

"Oh, I'll show you unbeatable," Alex replied, his eyes glinting with mock challenge. With a swift movement, he scooped up a handful of water and sent it arcing toward her, earning a surprised squeal.

Maria retaliated by lunging forward, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she tried to wrestle him into the water. Alex let out a hearty laugh, easily lifting her off her feet despite her best efforts to resist. She struggled playfully, her laughter echoing against the marble walls.

"Put me down, Alex!" she protested between giggles, though there was no real force behind her words.

"As you wish," he said with a sly grin, lowering her back into the water but not before spinning her around to face him.

The two shared a quiet moment as their laughter faded, replaced by a comfortable silence. The water lapped gently around them, and Maria rested her forehead against Alex's. Her amber eyes softened as she gazed at him, her hands sliding down to rest on his chest.

"You always know how to make me feel at home," she said softly, her voice filled with affection.

"That's because you are home, Maria," Alex replied, his tone just as tender. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead, then her cheek, before finally capturing her lips in a sweet, lingering kiss.

The warmth of the bath and the intimacy of the moment wrapped around them like a cocoon, shielding them from the outside world. For a while, they simply enjoyed each other's presence, sharing quiet whispers and tender touches.

Eventually, Maria pulled back with a playful smirk. "Alright, enough of this mushy stuff. I'm going to win this water fight!"

"You can try," Alex said, laughing as she splashed him again. The two resumed their playful antics, their laughter filling the room once more.

By the time they stepped out of the bath, their skin was flushed and their spirits high. Alex wrapped a fluffy towel around Maria, pulling her into a warm embrace before drying himself off.

"I haven't laughed like that in a while," Maria admitted, her cheeks still glowing.

"Then we'll just have to do this more often," Alex replied with a grin.

Hand in hand, they left the bathroom, their laughter echoing in the bedroom as they prepared to join the others for the day ahead.

The teleportation hall hummed with energy as the shimmering portal glowed brighter, signaling the arrival of the visitor. Alex stood at the forefront with Maria by his side, flanked by the rest of his companions. They were curious about who would come unannounced, though Alex had a faint idea.

As the portal stabilized, two figures stepped through. The first was a towering beastman with golden fur streaked with darker tones, his muscular frame clad in royal garments that barely seemed able to contain his sheer size. Behind him, a beautiful young woman with soft, feline features and long, flowing hair followed gracefully, her eyes scanning the room with polite curiosity.

"Leon!" Alex called out, a wide grin breaking across his face.

"Alex!" the beastman prince roared in return, his deep voice booming through the hall.

Without hesitation, Leon dropped his bag and broke into a sprint. Alex, not one to back down from such a challenge, did the same. Their footsteps thundered across the polished floor as they closed the distance between them.

The clash of their embrace was more like a collision of two forces of nature. Alex's muscular frame, honed through years of battle and training, met Leon's sheer bulk and beastman strength. They both laughed uproariously as they gripped each other, their hands slapping backs with enough force to echo in the vast hall.

"I see you haven't shrunk, furball," Alex teased, his tone light but competitive.

"And you haven't stopped growing, twig!" Leon shot back, his laughter ringing louder.

It wasn't long before the embrace shifted into a test of strength. Their arms locked, and their feet dug into the ground as they began to push against one another. The tension in the air was palpable as the others watched with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"Are they seriously doing this here?" Maria muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose but smiling nonetheless.

"This is so them," Gracier giggled, leaning against Saeko.

The duel of strength escalated. Leon growled deeply, his beastman instincts kicking in as he tried to overpower Alex. His muscles bulged, and his claws threatened to extend out of sheer effort. But Alex held his ground, his grin widening as his own raw power surged through his body.

With a burst of strength, Alex managed to twist Leon off balance, pinning him to the floor with a thud that shook the hall.

"Yield?" Alex asked, a playful smirk on his face as he looked down at his friend.

Leon lay sprawled, panting but laughing heartily. "Alright, alright! I yield, damn you!"

Alex helped him up, their laughter mingling as they clapped each other on the shoulders.

"You've gotten stronger," Leon admitted, rubbing his shoulder. "I'm not even mad, though. I knew you would."

"You're no pushover yourself," Alex replied. "Still the toughest beastman I know."

Leon grinned. "Flattery will get you nowhere."

The fiancée, who had been watching silently, finally stepped forward, her lips twitching into a smile. "Are they always like this?" she asked, directing her question at Maria.

"Always," Maria replied with a fond sigh. "It's how they show affection, apparently."
