Chapter 329: Hit Hard And Fast.

Kelvin wasn't listening anymore. He sneered and said, "What a liar. His ability is not imprisonment."

He can already tell how Lady Dimitri died. He got close to her and nullified her ability. He can even see the panic and fear on her face as Zero killed her.

But one thing he is sure of is that Zero's ability is not imprisonment. It is more of a wide-area nullification field that renders anyone in the area powerless.

But for some reason, Zero is hiding that information and lying about what his true ability is. It made Kelvin wonder.

"He is probably lying to hide his identity. But does the Justice League know, and is he just lying to everyone else, or is he lying to everyone, including the Justice League?"

"Is he hiding his ability right now? Is he under the protection of a demigod right now?"

The more he thought about it, the more excited he became. He decided to send a shadow to confirm.

Zero's appearance marked the end of the Lady Dimitri saga. But it also might give him an opportunity to take down Zero. It is why he is so excited.

He believes that Zero shouldn't be using his ability right now, as it is easy for people to find out what it is under its effect. If that is so, it means Zero is currently vulnerable.

Kelvin's eyes began to shine as he thought about it. He said to himself, "If I can kill him now, I will have soul immortality and gain the support of Manhattan."

He doesn't need the support of Manhattan. As long as Manhattan doesn't hunt him when he reveals his identity, he will be content.

The ring of the soul will also give him more confidence. He will have much less to fear about revealing his identity.

He became so excited that he managed to move. He stood up and began to pace above the Tower of Destiny.

"I have to hit him hard, and I have to hit him fast before he can utilize his ability. There is only one shadow good enough for that."

Zero continued to speak on TV. He was oblivious to what was about to happen.

The more Kelvin watched, the more anxious he became. But Glory-2 was already doing his best, so there was no use hurrying him up.

Glory-2 was carrying Glory-3, Glory-5, and Glory-6 to the scene with his fastest speed. He was carrying three shadows who weighed a lot, but it didn't do much in slowing him down. In fact, he was getting faster and faster.

Glory-5 is the weakest shadow. It has no fighting power apart from the normal power of the A-rank that he gained from Kelvin. But his presence is very important because his Extraordinary Perception ability will help the other clones identify threats and avoid danger.

He has learned his lesson after that encounter with a demigod on the top of the volcano. Now that he expects Zero to have protectors, he must have a good scout to ensure the success of this abduction.

The shadows didn't take long to get to their destination. It took them less than 10 seconds after appearing nearby. Then Glory-5 looked around to see what kind of danger they would be dealing with.

The four of them stood on top of a skyscraper a large distance away from Zero. It granted them a great view of Zero's position and his surroundings.

Being the location of the standoff between Lady Dimitri and the city, the surroundings were full of supers. There were heroes, villains, and corpos on the scene.

There were a lot of dangerous people around. But one of them stood out above the rest. It was an invisible person standing above Zero.

The invisible person wasn't a demigod. But he or she was very powerful.

Glory-5 couldn't see their figure clearly, so he can't tell if they are male or female. He certainly can't tell their identity either. If he could, he would be able to do some research about them and see how to defeat them.

Kelvin began to pace even faster. He said, "So there is someone with power that is at least at the X rank. Then there are many others by the side."

"What I need is a distraction and a way to get close to him. But a distraction will alert Zero and give away my element of surprise."

"This is not good. This is not good at all. It seems I'll just have to give it a go. I don't have anything to lose anyway."

Unlike the previous paragon who tried and failed to nab Zero, he can't die if he fails in this attempt. Only his shadows will bear the risk, and he can try again later.

If there is one thing he wishes he had, it is Wrath's knowledge of Zero. Many paragons have tried and failed to get the Patriarch. She has experienced all of these failures, so if she were here to advise him, he wouldn't have to repeat their failures.

But she isn't here, so he can only do this on his own. Since he has room for failure, he wasn't afraid of failure.

Glory-2 grabbed Glory-3 and brought him close to the scene. Then he returned to grab Glory-6 and rushed towards Zero.

Glory-5 stayed behind to serve as overwatch. His position grants all the other shadows an overhead view of the operation.

Glory-3 was hiding in the shadow of a building. He was out of sight, but he locked onto Zero and was ready to stun him at any moment.

That moment would be determined by Glory-5. Meanwhile, Glory-5 ran towards Zero while Glory-6 threw a stone into the air in Zero's direction.

Glory-2 was fast. But he had a crowd of people between him and his target. There was no way he was going to reach Zero without alerting Zero or his invisible protector to his presence.

This will make the operation very difficult to achieve. At the very least, it has made rushing Zero before he can become aware of the attack nearly impossible to achieve.
