Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister

Chapter 102: What to Teach...

The large snake dashes at me and I pull out a dagger.

It was moving really fast but compared to earlier, it was slower.

Maybe because of the meal it just had I could now more easily dodge it's strikes.

To the left and then to the right.

I leap from side to side dodging it's attacks.

It comes in faster and rather than leaping away I just turn sideways to barely dodge it.

Looking at its massive body blitz past me, I feel the wind created from it.

I notice it had some reflected scales, like injuries caused from a fight.

Like the claws of a beast had scrapped and flipped them.

Well it is a beast after all, it probably got into a fight with another and sustained these injuries.

As it keeps striking at me and I keep dodging, over time it's speed continues to drop.

Slowly I didn't even need to move from my spot.

It looked exhausted.

It approaches me slowly, looking really exhausted.

It looked like it wanted to go for one more strike but without me doing anything it just drops before me, head at my toes.

I squat and place my right hand on its head, it's eyes looking at me as it breathes heavily.

I give off a smile and pat its head.

"I doubt the children would like to eat a snake, so I don't really have a reason to kill you."

Though still glaring at me, it's eyes soften a bit as if it understood what I had just said.

"Though I wanted to use you to breakthrough and you dissapointed me, you still inspired me with what to teach the children, so for that, I'll spare you, but, you owe me, keep that in mind." I say to it as I slowly get up.

"I'll come get it one day."

I turn my back and walk away, but not back towards the cave, I went farther away, across this forest of a mountain.

What was I looking for?

Of course a catalyst, something that could push me to my limits.

*Growl*

The sound of a beast comes from beside me.

With a smile I turn towards it.

I dash at it excitedly.

It was a Level nine Black Leopard.

I decided not to use the Phantom Technique or Heavenly Demon Technique if I did not meat a Level Ten.

This might be suicide but as one who pursues strength, this should be the barest minimum.

We fought and fought slicing, dicing at each other and after and hour, I managed to kill it.

My blood flowing down my skin from injuries all over my body I kept walking, to find the next one, this was not enough, I was quite exhausted but... That crazy battle driven side of me had resurfaced.

That fight, as my flesh was torn, as I got the feeling that I could die with any wrong move I felt even more excited.

Ahhhh... I want more...

I went deeper...

Next was a giant level nine pangolin.

Its scales were really hard.

My knuckles crunched everytime I punched it...

But was that a reason to stop?

No, never, hahaha...

The foes I will be facing would be harder than this pangolin, if I cannot even beat this, how am I supposed to get through a GrandMaster, or even a Supreme Peak?

"C'mon, break for me..."

With a heavy hit using both my hands together and a huge amount of Ki I smash down the armoured head of the Pangolin.

I stand bent over, panting heavily, blood dripping off my jaw from my face and blood dripping down my hands.

I wasn't about to stop there.

"Arrrgghhh!!" I let a loud roar which resounds through the forest.

Unconsciously I had used Ki when making that roar and for some reason, due to that more Spiritual Beasts started coming after me.

They numbered over a hundred.

They were mostly level seven and above.

I began desperately and excitedly fighting for my life.

With one punch I knock off the head of one beast.

*WHAM*

Another punch, another head.

*WHIM*

A swing of my hand and a head goes flying.

I could feel my strength rising.

I could feel my precision getting back to when I was at my Peak.

Yes, this... This life threatening battles are what brings me to my peak.

More and more... blood splashing everywhere.

After about three hours of intense nonstop battle, I come out on top.

As the sun began to rise.

I stand looking up at the fading black sky.

Blood drips from my hair into my already bloodied face.

All around were corpses of beasts.

*Haaah... haaah*

I breathe out heavily.

*WHROOM*

A sudden pulsating energy swirls from within me.

"Urgh"

I drop to my knees as I hold my belly.

"Fuck, did I force it too much?"

I began sweating.

I took off my already tattered clothes leaving my shorts under.

Sweat and blood dripping down my body I sit in a lotus position.

I could feel the energy surging inside me.

This is it, I'm about to break through...

But to break through in a place like this...

I heave a sigh.

"What choice do I have? I have to do it now."

I begin absorbing and compressing energy into my dantian while also suppressing the surging energy.

At this point I was as vulnerable as I could be.

I needed full concentration.

*WHRROOM*

A wave of energy pulses out of me.

This wave destroys the first set of trees around me and blasts away the corpses closer to me.

'Urgghh!'

My brows furrow with my eyes closed.

Sweating I push my concentration to the limit.

*WIRRMM*

My whole body pulses.

"Argghh!!"

With a loud roar a massive wave of energy bursts out from within me blasting away everything within a three hundred meters, 300m radius from me.

The trees flew like pollen grain being swept away by the wind.

Some broke of leaving a stump behind.

As everywhere settles a cool refreshing wind begins to surround me.

"Haaahh...haaahh" I pant heavily as I slowly open my eyes.

Combing my hand through my hair I pack it backwards from my face.

I heave a sigh.

"I guess that was the most I could compress...

Not bad though, at least I successfully broke through. I now stand at the Late Peak Realm." I say as I look at my hands.

My injuries had all healed.

I rise to my feet.

Looking around I could see the corpses of the Beast scattered around everywhere.

Most had been blown off really far while some were stuck in broken trees.

Slowly I give a bow to all of them.

"Thank you all, thanks to your help I was able to breakthrough, I promise that your sacrifice will not be in vain."

I raise my head, turn and begin walking back...

Its time, time to teach the children...
