Reaching the later stages of the impartation, the suction force of the children increases tremendously causing David great pain.

Unfortunately, he had run out of Ki boosting pills.

Soon his Ki and blood began to run thin.

His body shrivelled up as he became light headed.

Opening his eyes he saw double.

His eyes began to roll back as his hair gradually fades to snow white.

As he collapse backwards, before his eyes shut he saw someone... Shinhwa.

Hwa had successfully completed the ritual and had just opened her eyes when David was passing out.

As she saw this, immediately she runs to David who had just hit the ground.

Crashing to her knees beside David she began calling out to him while also grabbing him.

As her hands touch David she notices his body shrivelled and cold.

"Wh...what?, why?"

"Wh...what is going on?" Nari who gets up next asks Hwa as she walks up behind her.

As she got into view of David's body she unconsciously backs away in shock with her hands over her mouth.

Gradually the rest begin to rise.

As they came closer they see Hwa laying over David's body, grabbing his top tightly and sobbing silently muttering;

"Why?.. Why?.."

Conan calmly steps up from behind and pats Hwa on the back.

He looks at David and notices some parts of his hair were still stained red but was gradually fading white.

"Its not too late." Conan says and then goes ahead to sit in a lotus position.

"Everyone, quick let's channel some Ki into Big... into Master, hurry, there is no time."

Panicked everyone joins him and begins to channel their Ki into David.

At first there seemed to be no effect but soon the red colouration from the Heavenly Demon Technique which was about to vanish started spreading again.

They had successfully learnt the Ki Absorption Martial Arts and now they could also channel Ki into someone.

But as newbie Martial Artists they couldn't do it efficiently and ended up wasting a large amount of Ki.

But it was not all in vain.

The little which they were able to successfully infuse into David was enough for the Heavenly Demon Technique to heal him up just enough for him not to die.

The children which were now Second Rate Martial Artists were able to help save David but due to their inexperience they had used up all their Ki and began to pass out one after the other.

As their bodies drop to the ground Mother Bear comes along and picks them all up.

She places them together laying down as if sleeping.

She doesn't move David but rather just stands and watches over him.

After about three hours David slowly begins to come through.

As his eyes blink, the first thing he sees is the body of the mother bear standing over him.

"Ughhh!" He groans in pain as he tries to sit up.

"Ngh, I'm still alive? How though?" He questions as he looks at his hands which were a little wrinkled.

He notices the change in colour of his hair.

"Well this is new."

"Did you save me Mother Bear?" David asks.

The beast shakes its head left and right to say it wasn't the one.

It points towards the children with its snout and David turns back to see them all laying next to each other.

"Did they save me?" David asks.

The mother bear nods confirming this.

"I see, how did they do it though?"

The mother bear growls in response.

"Oh yh you can't talk, sorry about that" David says.

David gets up slowly and goes over to them.

He sits before them watching them carefully as a father watches over his children.

After observing them he realizes that they were suffering from Ki exhaustion.

'Did they transfer Ki into me? Is that how they saved me?' David thought to himself.

He stretches forth his hands towards them.

He was about to pass some Ki but as soon as he tries that he grabs his abdomen and chest in pain.

"Nghh!" He groans and suddenly he begins coughing out blood.

"Haaah... haaah..." He pants heavily looking at the blood from his mouth on the ground.

"What the fuck?..."

P.O.V - David.

As I try to infuse Ki into the children I suddenly feel a sharp pain at the lower part of my abdomen.

It also felt like my chest was being compressed.

The pain was sharp, I immediately withdrew my hands and grabbed my abdomen and chest.

And then I started coughing out blood.

As I look at my blood smeared on the ground before me I thought to myself...

'What the Fuck!?'

I sit there confused.

"What the hell was that?"

I was trying not to think of something which I already felt had probably happened to me.

After taking a deep breath I decide to confront it.

I close my eyes and decide to check my body's condition.

Unfortunately, it was worse than I had imagined.

I had imagined that my Dantian would be messed up but rather it was worse.

My Dantian was now completely destroyed and all my meridians were a mess.

Just checking out my body's condition was making me sweat a lot.

My body was in really bad shape.

My muscles had gone thin and my skin had shrivelled.

The reason I'm not dead right now is probably thanks to the children, and maybe the Heavenly Demon Technique.

I heave a heavy sigh.

I felt down.

All my efforts, down the drain.

And not just that, it would be very hard for me to practice Martial Arts again, maybe even impossible.

"Fuck!" I yell out in annoyance with my hands over my face.

I check the children and luckily they hadn't woken up from my yell.

What do I do now?

What happens to my revenge?

This is all my fault, I got caught up in useless emotions, why did I have to care?

Maybe if I didn't push hard for the children maybe I...

Yo cannot be thinking that way.

But it is true that if I was focused on my goals I wouldn't be where I am now.

Slowly I rise to my feet.

My legs weak and shaking, I begin to move towards the cave entrance.

Mother Bear stops me with her hand.

"I need to get some air, I'll be back shortly." I say to her with my head down.

Mother Bear hesitates a bit but soon moves out of the way.

I walk...

As I take my first step out of the cave, the crunching sound of the dry leaves under my feet rings in my ear.

The cool breeze sweeping across me almost puts me at ease.

I take a deep breath, my heart calms a bit as the weak rays of the setting Sun hits my face.

After breathing out I continue walking.

Slowly I drifted off again into thoughts.

I tried not to blame myself.

I tried to tell myself that I didn't do anything wrong but the voice at the back of my head always antagonized my thoughts.

And I could not help but feel like it was telling the truth.

If I had stayed true to my goal, to not be distracted by fleeting emotions I would still have my Martial Arts by now.

I heave a heavy sigh.

Well I did know that what I was getting myself into was risky.

I am now nothing but an average human being.

"Fuck!" I yell in annoyance as I forcefully punch the hard trunk of a tree with my right hand.

*CLACK*

My bone snaps from the impact.

My ulnar and radius breaks from the force.

"FFUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!!" I scream in intense pain as I drop to my knees holding my broken forearm in my left hand.

"Now I'm even weaker than an average human?

The fuck?"

I knelt there until the sun completely set holding the pain in.

Maybe due to being in the body of a child I felt like crying but I had promised to never do that again.

After the sun sets I rise to my feet.

No use thinking on what has already happened, I just need to think of a way forward now.

First let's return to the cave.

The children should be awake by now.

I slowly began moving, holding up my broken right forearm in my left hand.

Just walking is hard enough and now I have to deal with this pain.

After about thirty minutes of painfully walking I finally get to the entrance of the cave.

As I reach there the children see me and immediately run towards me trying to embrace me but they immediately stop in their tracks as they notice that something was wrong.

Looking at my arm they could see it was broken.

"What happened Master?" Conan asks.

'Mastet huh? Am I even still qualified to be their Master?'
