Chapter 251: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Premieres! (13)
Imperial Mage Academy.
Compared to ordinary people, mages were relatively calm in the face of a vampire's appearance.
Of course, their composure had its limits. After all, without proper preparation, even the most powerful individual mages would find themselves helpless against a vampire.
At present, the mages were engaged in a heated discussion on how to eliminate a vampire.
"Ordinary vampires fear sunlight and holy light, which shares similar properties. However, compared to undead creatures, vampires have a higher resistance to holy light. Standard holy spells can only weaken their constitution but are not enough to destroy them."
"That's right. It's said that in ancient times, the best way to fight vampires was with a well-rounded team of different classes. A priest from the church would weaken the vampire's strength, a swordsman would fend off its attacks, and a mage would use fire magic to burn everything to ashes. Only through such a method could a vampire be completely eradicated."
"Compared to that, the humans in movies are far too weak. Relying on brute force alone, they could never hope to eliminate a vampire!"
"Jonathan and the others are in serious trouble."
"..."
Even the mages themselves couldn't come up with a viable way to defeat Dio, who had turned into a vampire. With insufficient preparation, taking down such a monstrous being was nearly impossible.
Likewise, the Archmages atop the Mage Tower held a similar view—none of them believed that the ordinary people present had any chance of standing against such a terrifying vampire.
The Joestar family was destined to face a storm of blood and carnage.
...
Ducal Estate of the Southern Frontier.
Duke Constantine watched the movie's unfolding plot with a solemn expression, clearly racking his brain for a way to resolve this crisis.
Against a vampire whose physical abilities and regenerative power far exceeded those of ordinary humans, it was almost unthinkable for a normal person to stand a chance in battle.
Even Duke Constantine himself, a seasoned warrior, found it hard to imagine defeating such a vampire head-on if his strength were restricted to that of an ordinary human.
And if even a veteran powerhouse like Duke Constantine couldn't devise a proper solution, the others present could only sink further into despair at the unfolding scene.
With the exception of the True Ancestor, Arcueid, everyone's eyes were filled with tension and worry.
As for Arcueid, it wasn't that she remained unaffected by the plot, but rather that her reaction was different. When this scene played out before her, her eyes flickered with an unmistakable sense of anticipation, as though she had seen something that truly resonated with her.
...
Edward's Tavern.
As the movie played, the tension in the tavern was palpable. The patrons, caught up in the unfolding story, turned to Durin, eager to know how it would all end.
Durin, though unwilling to spoil the plot, simply smiled and replied:
"To be honest, when we filmed this scene, we had to shoot it multiple times. Even though there weren't many special effects in this battle sequence, the overall intensity was still quite impressive."
"A battle? There's a battle coming?"
Helena instinctively asked, her curiosity piqued.
In response, Durin merely nodded calmly.
His words sparked surprise among the tavern's patrons. After all, they couldn't imagine how a group of ordinary people could possibly fight against such a powerful vampire.
But before they could dwell too deeply on it, the movie's plot continued to unfold.
...
In the movie.
The moment Dio appeared, he arrogantly strode toward the police officers.
Seeing his complete disregard for bullets, fear crept into the hearts of the officers.
Jonathan also held a gun in his hands, but as he watched Dio approach, he found himself unable to pull the trigger.
"Dio!"
It was Speedwagon who fired in his place.
The bullet pierced Dio's head, yet it had no effect. The man continued walking forward, unfazed.
"Impossible! He's not dead?! But his head was shot—this doesn't make any sense!"
Speedwagon's voice trembled with disbelief.
Jonathan, too, was at a loss, his eyes flashing with confusion.
On the other side, Dio licked the blood trickling down his forehead and let out a triumphant laugh.
"JoJo, I have gained incredible power—from the Stone Mask and your father's blood!"
As he spoke, he casually reached out and crushed a police officer's throat with his bare hand, letting out a chilling "WRYYYY!"
"He's… draining their life essence? What has Dio become?!"
Faced with this incomprehensible reality, Jonathan felt a deep fear. But when his gaze fell upon his father's lifeless body, a surge of determination rose within him. Without hesitation, he grabbed a spear from a nearby statue.
"Don't! That monster's power has already surpassed human limits!"
Speedwagon tried to stop him, but Jonathan remained calm as he replied:
"I know. To be honest, I'm afraid too. But Dio… I can't allow you to exist in this world any longer. This is my responsibility—I have to put an end to this!"
"Mr. Joestar, don't do it! You'll die!"
Jonathan didn't answer. Instead, his mind was racing, analyzing every possible way to defeat Dio.
Just then, one of the fallen police officers suddenly began to move.
A corpse that should have been lifeless now staggered to its feet, its eyes devoid of reason. With a guttural growl, it lunged at Speedwagon—driven by an insatiable hunger for human blood.
Speedwagon was so terrified that he nearly wet his pants. Fortunately, Jonathan reacted in time, swinging his spear to knock the ghoul away before slicing through its brain.
At that moment, Jonathan realized the only way to defeat a vampire—destroy the brain!
"Even if they've become monsters, this still pains me… Father, please grant me strength! I must become stronger! Dio is no longer human—he's a monster!"
With newfound resolve flashing in his eyes, Jonathan lifted his spear as Dio lunged toward him.
"Dio, I will not allow you to keep killing!"
In an instant, he thrust his spear forward, piercing Dio's arm and halting his attack.
"He stopped him?!"
Speedwagon was stunned.
Dio, however, merely let out a mocking laugh. With a sharp "crack," he crushed Jonathan's spear in his grip.
"Too weak… far too weak!"
Looking at Jonathan with cold, contemptuous eyes, Dio regarded him as nothing more than an insect.
