Divine Harem: My Sect of Heavenly Beauties

Chapter 272: The Paperwork

Nancy reminded Shen Yu of the plan he had thought of a while back when he was constructing the dungeon.

It was to try a modernized version of the cultivation world and see which system worked better for the people. It was just a mild experiment that piqued his curiosity, so he had decided to do it.

He had almost forgotten about it due to the Heavenspart Island project.

Looking at the island below him, Shen Yu transmitted his voice to Xu Ming.

"I'll be leaving now, so take care of the island and its people. If you need help, just ask someone from my sect."

[Understood, Master.]

Shen Yu could sense the tiredness in his low voice, and it was clear he was still working even while talking to him. However, there was also a hint of enthusiasm and excitement, showing that he was enjoying his work as well.

He smiled and teleported himself to the third floor of his Seven-Floor Pagoda. He intended to inform at least one of his wives before leaving the world.

When he appeared in the room filled with dozens of shelves packed with papers and files, he raised an eyebrow, wondering what had happened during the few days he hadn't been in his sect.

He walked for a bit, eventually finding Song Junwan with her head buried in a small pile of files. Her beautiful eyes were scanning through various documents so quickly that Shen Yu felt jealous.

If he had possessed such a skill in his past life, perhaps he wouldn't have ended up as a construction worker.

He stood there for a while, admiring her mesmerizing face—so focused on her work that she hadn't even noticed his arrival.

Smiling at her dedication, he walked forward and said,

"Good work!"

Song Junwan jerked away from the documents upon hearing his voice and looked up. Seeing the familiar face, a beautiful, eye-catching smile formed on her cherry blossom lips.

She forgot all about the paperwork and jumped from the other side of the table, instantly appearing in his arms as she hugged him tightly.

"Master~"

She melted in his embrace as his big and powerful hand circled around her back and head. She inhaled his scent, which made her feel calm and relaxed.

All the pent-up tension and fatigue from days of work washed away in his embrace. She felt as if her energy had been restored and she could go on for another few days without any worries.

'My master energy is recharged?'

She felt silly about her own thoughts and giggled.

"What made the Grand Elder so happy?"

Shen Yu teased her using her title.

She just lightly scoffed and said,

"It's because I restored my Master energy."

Shen Yu chuckled, finding it both cute and funny. Still holding her in his arms, he asked,

"What happened here? So much paperwork?"

Song Junwan sighed and separated from him. Then she answered his question.

"Master, we are expanding, and there needs to be proper management with proper documentation too. Ming'er is busy running around here and there, and you were also busy, so I took over the matters of the sect and began documenting the stuff..."

She continued to ramble on about the affairs of the sect, and Shen Yu listened to everything with great interest—not because he had any real interest in paperwork, but because Song Junwan looked too hot while she was immersed in her work.

'Also, I wasn't really busy.'

[Yeah, you were just eating popcorn while watching people run for their lives.]

Shen Yu casually ignored her and focused on Song Junwan again. Honestly, it was now that he truly understood the complications of managing a sect.

At the start, he had just wanted a place he could call home—a place where his family would live and enjoy life together.

While his goal remained the same and he wouldn't change the motive of the Divine Harem Sect, he knew things were bound to get complicated now that he had decided to change the world and become connected to it.

Still, he had never planned to deal with so much paperwork. After all, what would be the point of him being so strong if he just ended up becoming an average office worker?

He had plans related to this aspect of his life. He waited until Song Junwan finished her explanation and then clapped.

"You're really working too hard. Why don't you take a break and cultivate?"

Song Junwan slumped down on her chair and sighed.

"There's too much to manage and record, Master. Everyone's already working hard, so I want to share the burden. Besides, you made me a Grand Elder, so it's my responsibility."

Shen Yu found it really amusing how Song Junwan was complaining about the paperwork, yet not once did she ask for his help—let alone berate him for not doing anything regarding the paperwork.

After all, he was the sect master, and many of these things were technically his responsibility. But his wives always liked to take those responsibilities upon themselves.

"By the way, you came at the right moment, Master."

Song Junwan stood up and pulled out a pillar of documents from a shelf, continuing to speak in a relaxed tone.

"I need your signature on all of them, and your blood essence on some—but I can waive those, as I don't think they are worthy enough to receive your blood."

Shen Yu was speechless.

'Hey, weren't you supposed to be very punctual about your work?'

She placed all the papers on the desk, and before she could even say anything else, she noticed her master clicking his fingers—as all the documents were signed off instantly.

Her mouth remained open, too stunned to voice her thoughts.

"Here, all done. Anything else?"

His words made her sigh in defeat as she said,

"No, there's nothing else. You're really incredible, Master. If I had that ability, I would've finished this so early."

Shen Yu smiled at her words and once again clicked his fingers. This time, the papers remained the same, but there was an additional object on her desk.

Seeing the strange black-colored metal object, Song Junwan raised an eyebrow as she recognized it.

"It's a laptop, and it'll help you clear up the paperwork quickly. I've also added many functions that'll only suit Cultivators, so feel free to explore it."

Song Junwan smiled brightly and said,

"Thank you, Master."
