Chapter 182—Adapting to the Company
[MC POV]
Miyoung guided me to the department, gave a brief explanation of the work, and introduced me to the team.
"There are two more people, but they're on vacation right now. You'll probably see them next week."
"Yes, I understand."
'Hmm… I expected her to be more distant since I'm a parachute hire, but she seems more normal and kind than I thought…'
From what I had heard, Choi Han Group had quite a few parachute hires—people who got in thanks to family ties or personal connections. Most of them acted entitled. Some barely worked but still got promoted, and others treated colleagues poorly just because they had a powerful backer.
Because of that, I knew how badly people viewed hires like me. It wasn't surprising that some of the other employees seemed to be subtly avoiding me.
But Team Leader Kim Miyoung seemed different. I had no idea if she knew who had helped me get in, but she wasn't treating me like an outsider.
"Since it's your first day, focus on learning the department layout and getting used to who's who," she said.
"Yes, I'll do my best."
"No need to be so tense. Here are some materials to help you get started. And this is your desk."
"Thank you."
My seat was at the far end of the department, away from her desk—but I didn't mind. It gave me a quiet space to focus.
Miyoung gave me a quick smile and returned to her seat.
'She's more helpful than I expected.'
I started reviewing the materials she gave me, getting a rough idea of the department layout and responsibilities.
'I think I've got the department structure down… but remembering everyone's name and face is tough.'
Honestly, I didn't expect my past job as a delivery driver to be helpful here—but it was. Back then, I had to memorize addresses, routes, and apartment layouts. It took me a while to get good at it, but once I did, I became more efficient and finished earlier than most.
So memorizing the physical layout wasn't hard. But memorizing dozens of names and faces? That gave me a headache.
'I should walk around for a bit… get used to the place.'
Miyoung had told me I could, but I still felt a little self-conscious. I was new, and people were already wary of me.
To make things worse, my assigned mentor was on vacation.
'This company really does have amazing benefits… a full week off just like that.'
I sighed quietly, thinking about how I'd be fumbling around on my own for the next few days.
"Is something wrong, Joohyun?" Miyoung suddenly asked, walking over.
"Oh—no, nothing. I was just wondering if it's okay to walk around to get familiar with the place."
"Of course it is. It's almost lunchtime anyway. Go ahead and take a walk—get a feel for things."
"Ah, thank you. I'll do that."
She paused. "We can have lunch together afterward, if you'd like."
"Actually… I have a lunch appointment today. Should I cancel it?"
"No need. Just come back after lunch."
"Understood."
Relieved by her casual tone, I left the department and began walking around the office building.
'I'll be having lunch with Yeonhee today… but I'll eat with the team tomorrow.'
I was sure Yeonhee might feel a little disappointed, but I knew it was important to build good relationships with coworkers, too.
As I walked around, I admired how well-organized the company was. Everyone was focused. There was a clear sense of professionalism.
And then, when I arrived near Yeonhee's office, I couldn't help but feel a little proud.
'She's really something else.'
She had her own office—a rare privilege in a company like this. Most people worked in open areas, but she had a door, a desk, and the respect of everyone around her.
When I stepped inside, Yeonhee greeted me with a calm smile.
"Welcome, Employee Joohyun."
"Yes, Ms. Yeonhee," I replied playfully, matching her tone.
She stood up and came over.
"How's your first day? Are things going okay?"
"Yeah. The team leader and the other employees are treating me well."
Even though Yeonhee was technically younger than me, she worried about me like an older sister… or maybe something more.
"I've prepared lunch. Let's eat."
"Sure."
We sat together and ate the lunch she'd packed. It tasted just like the meals I had at home.
'Am I getting spoiled by high-quality food?'
Everything I ate at home—thanks to her and the others—tasted better than most restaurant meals. I still enjoyed simple food, but my taste buds were definitely shifting.
"You're not eating much today," I said, noticing her small portion.
"I have something else to eat later."
She always ate lightly, but this was even less than usual.
When we finished eating, I stood to pack up my lunch container.
"Thanks for the meal. I'll be eating with the team tomorrow, so don't worry about packing anything."
"Alright," she said softly.
I could see the disappointment in her eyes, even though she tried to hide it.
"But let's still eat together often, okay?"
"…Yes."
That one word, combined with her smile, said more than anything else.
Just as I turned to leave, Yeonhee suddenly said, "Then, I'll finish my meal now."
"Huh? What do you—ah."
That's when I realized what she meant. She placed her hand between my legs.
"I'm going to eat something even more delicious than lunch♥"
Swoosh… Swoosh…
Yeonhee had a different vibe than before as she caressed my crotch and stimulated my dick.
'I had only planned to have lunch with her, but she had other ideas and began to seduce me.'
"Give me your thick semen, Employee Joohyun♥"
"Yes, Ms. Yeonhee."
"….♥"
Yeonhee's actions made me respond as if she were giving me an order as a superior. She seemed amused and squatted down between my legs.
Swoosh... Swoosh…
She skillfully took out my dick and gazed at it with a blissful smile. She looked like a bitch in heat, eagerly anticipating my dick, which was unlike her superior demeanor.
"Here, Yeonhee. Eat this. It's full of the semen you like."
"Yes… I understand… Slurp♥ Slurp♥ Chooop♥ Lick♥"
Yeonhee leaned in and begun sucking my dick, like she was following a silent order from a new employee—me.
There was a playful, lewd smile tugging at her lips. And as our private lunchtime came to an end, she gave me the brightest smile I'd seen from her all day.
