Douluo Dalu: Starting With Tom Cat

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Tom Plays with Sanpao

For the first time, the master's stiff face showed a mix of shame and anger. Suppressing his humiliation, he said in a deep voice, "Little girl, I am a level 29 Soul Grandmaster. Are you really going to make an enemy out of me?"

Soul Masters were undoubtedly a prestigious profession on the Douluo Continent. Even though the master's soul power was only at level 29, it was still something most ordinary people could never hope to achieve.

It was worth noting that the number of registered Soul Masters in the Spirit Hall did not exceed 100,000. Of course, the number of unregistered ones was unknown, but it certainly wouldn't exceed a million.

In the master's view, for a girl of her age to have reached the level of a Soul Grandmaster was already quite impressive, but she was still far from matching his experience and skill. If push came to shove, he could simply overpower her with his strength.

It was somewhat laughable that this was one of the rare occasions in many years where the master had to rely on his identity and soul power level to handle a situation.

The onlookers quickly scattered. Soul Masters were not people they could afford to provoke. Ordinary folks could enjoy the spectacle, but when it came to Soul Masters, it was better to be cautious. If they were targeted, it could lead to ruin.

However, Ning Rongrong was completely unfazed. She wasn't even afraid of Dai Mubai, a level 30+ Battle Soul Master, let alone this down-and-out, seemingly useless man in front of her.

Yes, in Ning Rongrong's eyes, the master was both down-and-out and useless. At his age, only being in his twenties in terms of levels, he actually had the nerve to boast about it.

Ning Rongrong said in a clear voice, "Tom, teach them a lesson."

The master's face instantly turned ashen. Was this girl out of her mind? Even after he revealed his identity as a Soul Master, she still dared to attack him.

The master restrained the urge to have Luo Sanpao use a soul skill. After all, if Luo Sanpao were to use a soul skill within the city, the area of effect would be too large, and he would undoubtedly be arrested by the patrols. In front of so many people, he couldn't afford to lose face.

But it was just a cat, not the girl herself. It seemed that either the girl's soul power wasn't high, or her combat ability wasn't strong, possibly even leaning towards support.

The master looked at Tom with a hint of disdain. Just a cat, how could it compare to his Luo Sanpao? In the previous collision, the cat had been sent flying.

Huh? What was going on? When did the cat change into clothes? The master looked puzzled at Tom, who was now dressed in a cowboy outfit.

Tom, wearing a yellow cowboy hat and a red scarf around his neck, held a lasso in his hand, swinging it around and looking arrogantly at Luo Sanpao, even whistling provocatively.

[Tom's Lasso: Never misses. It's a lasso that can curve. Can you believe it?]

The master said, "Luo Sanpao, charge at it and show it your power."

Upon receiving the command, Luo Sanpao let out a heavy breath, two streams of white air shooting out from its nose as it quickly charged towards Tom.

As everyone knew, when Tom had someone backing him up, his combat power increased exponentially. And Ning Rongrong, this arrogant young lady, was Tom's backer. Not to mention, Tom was already dressed in his cowboy outfit.

As Luo Sanpao charged recklessly, Tom's legs suddenly stretched out, reaching a length of three meters. Luo Sanpao passed right through them and foolishly crashed into the wall with a loud bang, dizzily staggering in place.

"Ahahahaha ohohoho."

Seeing Luo Sanpao in such a sorry state, Tom let out a mocking laugh. Then, with his back turned to Luo Sanpao, he casually threw the lasso without even looking.

The lasso flew out instantly, and the master instinctively felt something was wrong. He shouted, "Luo Sanpao, dodge this attack!"

Luo Sanpao immediately swayed its body and quickly ran away. The lasso shot straight past it.

The master suddenly felt relieved. That lasso had given him a very bad feeling. Just as he was about to order Luo Sanpao to attack again, something unexpected happened.

Tom's lips curled into a smile. As the saying goes, when Tom smiles, life and death are uncertain.

The lasso, which had just missed, suddenly curved around and accurately looped around Luo Sanpao's neck.

Feeling the rope around its neck, Luo Sanpao struggled fiercely on the ground, its immense strength making it hard for Tom to hold on.

But Tom quickly planted his feet firmly on the ground and pulled back with all his might. Luo Sanpao's massive body was yanked into the air.

With a triumphant smile, Tom spun around in place, pulling the rope with all his strength. Luo Sanpao flew through the air like a giant pendulum, forming a circular arc.

Finally, Tom slammed Luo Sanpao hard into the wall.

"Bang!"

Luo Sanpao was knocked dizzy, seeing stars. The master also felt a wave of dizziness and a tightness in his chest.

Beast-type martial souls and their hosts were one. If the martial soul was injured, so was the host. Even though the master's beast spirit was mutated, this principle still held true.

Luo Sanpao staggered to its feet. By now, the master was furious. He was angry that he had been made a fool of by a cat.

The master coldly snorted, raised his hand, and a yellow soul ring appeared around Luo Sanpao. He solemnly shouted, "Fart like thunder, earth-shattering Luo Sanpao!"

Hearing this, Ning Rongrong burst out laughing. What kind of soul skill was a fart? It was just ridiculous.

Tom, completely unfazed, pulled out a red cloth from behind and waved it. Luo Sanpao, which had been preparing to unleash its soul skill, was suddenly interrupted, its eyes turning red as it stared at Tom.

Who knows why a red cloth would make Luo Sanpao lose its mind? Even though Luo Sanpao wasn't a bull, this strange phenomenon occurred nonetheless.

The master stared in shock, unable to believe what he was seeing. "How is this possible? What kind of cat is this?"

Luo Sanpao's hooves scraped against the ground, and with a roar, it charged at Tom. Tom elegantly took a small step to the side, effortlessly dodging the attack.

Due to the sheer force of its charge, Luo Sanpao couldn't stop in time and crashed into the wall again, completely knocked out. The master clutched his chest, feeling as though he could barely breathe, his head buzzing.

Tom, now with a smug grin, took out a cigar, took a deep puff, and looked disdainfully at Luo Sanpao.

The smoke he exhaled formed two words in the air: "Is that all?"

"Hehe, well done, Tom," Ning Rongrong said with a smile, patting Tom's head. Tom's antics always amazed her.

Ning Rongrong walked up to the master. "Hurry up and pick up those things for me, or you won't be leaving today."

The master's face was extremely grim, his fists clenched tightly. But when he saw Tom smoking his cigar nearby, he reluctantly loosened his grip.

A wise man knows when to retreat. With Luo Sanpao in such a sorry state, the master didn't want to end up like it, being flung around in the air by this cat.

The master looked around at the people pointing and whispering about him, his eyes blank, his body moving like a puppet as he mechanically picked up the items on the ground.

Once everything was gathered and placed together, the master said stiffly to Ning Rongrong, "Are you satisfied now?"

The master didn't make any threats. He could tell that Ning Rongrong was the type who didn't care about consequences. If he threatened her, he might end up worse off.

Ning Rongrong quietly put away the small firecracker she had been holding and said arrogantly, "That's more like it. I'll let you off today."

The master, hearing this, recalled Luo Sanpao and walked away like a man who had lost his soul. Before leaving, he gave Ning Rongrong and Tom one last deep look.

Today's humiliation, Yu Xiaogang will remember. He will repay it tenfold in the future.
