Chapter 92: Chapter 92: A New Training Program

Yu Xiaogang took the lead in addressing the group.

"Before taking office, I reviewed each of your backgrounds and, under Tianyang's plan, devised some specialized training tailored to your needs."

"Although I am Xiaosan's teacher, I am also your teacher. I will treat everyone equally and show no favoritism."

"I hope you all remember why you became Soul Masters in the first place and hold onto that belief until the end. Only then can you complete this journey. Do you understand?"

Yu Xiaogang surveyed the group, his eyes filled with both relief and appreciation, but even more so with expectation.

"Yes!" everyone responded in unison, with Tang San appearing the most excited.

Yu Xiaogang nodded before continuing, "Alright, let's move on to the training plan. While the original content remains unchanged, I have now categorized you into three levels to clarify your training goals and help you recognize your current standing."

"First, the junior level. The representatives in this category are Ning Rongrong, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun."

The three looked puzzled, prompting Yu Xiaogang to explain, "Tianyang's training regimen serves two purposes: improving your physical fitness and refining your combat skills."

"However, you three are consistently the last to complete the daily targets set by Tianyang."

"We've seen your efforts, but don't you feel like something is missing?"

These words struck a chord with the trio.

What they lacked was conviction.

Ning Rongrong and Oscar understood—being auxiliary Soul Masters, it was natural for them to harbor such hesitations. But for Ma Hongjun, an offensive Soul Master, slacking off in this area was inexcusable.

The three quickly lowered their heads, looking somewhat embarrassed.

Yu Xiaogang didn't press the matter further and instead turned his attention to the others. "The next level is intermediate. This includes Dai Mubai, Xiaosan, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing."

"You train the hardest, and your results reflect your dedication."

Oscar hesitantly asked, "Then, the highest level... is it just Tianyang?"

Yu Xiaogang replied calmly, "Tianyang is indeed part of it, but Saber must also be included."

Everyone turned to look at Xiao Tianyang and Saber in surprise.

But after some thought, it actually made sense.

Saber's strength was undeniable. Even if Xiao Tianyang hadn't been so overwhelmingly talented, she would have still been the strongest among them.

Exceptional physical fitness, extraordinary sword skills, and one of the most powerful weapon martial soul—Saber was the embodiment of perfection.

Unfortunately, Xiao Tianyang's brilliance overshadowed her, as well as Dai Mubai and the others, making him appear almost monstrous in comparison.

"Alright." Yu Xiaogang clapped his hands, pulling everyone's focus back. "Training will begin tomorrow. Aside from Tianyang and Saber, I have assigned you serial numbers to help organize your schedules."

"Dismissed!"

Flender had nothing to add. He merely exchanged a few quiet words with Yu Xiaogang before leaving, followed closely by the other teachers, paying no mind to the murmuring students.

Just then, Tang San suddenly dropped to one knee, groaning in pain.

Standing beside him, Xiao Tianyang was the first to notice.

"Move aside!" he ordered, channeling his soul power into his right hand and pressing it against Tang San's shoulder. His expression quickly changed as he frowned.

Flender and the others noticed the commotion and hurried over, but before they could act, Xiao Tianyang suddenly withdrew his hand and leapt back.

At the same moment, eight sharp, spear-like spider legs burst outward from Tang San's back.

Had Xiao Tianyang not reacted in time, the sudden emergence could have caused serious injury to those nearby.

"Xiaosan!"

Tang San heard Xiao Tianyang's voice in his mind.

"Focus your soul power to your back. Think of these spider legs as an extension of your body. First, get used to them—then gradually retract them."

Yu Xiaogang shot Xiao Tianyang a sharp glance. Even Flender and the others were surprised.

How did this kid know so much about external spirit bones?

Before anyone could speculate further, Tang San demonstrated his remarkable comprehension ability.

In mere moments, he could control the spider legs with his mind, directing them at will. Soon after, they slowly retracted into his body like closing flower petals.

Of course, this wasn't entirely Tang San's doing.

Had Xiao Tianyang not intervened and used his soul power to create a framework within Tang San's body, the process wouldn't have gone so smoothly.

While the others looked on nervously, Xiao Tianyang remained unfazed.

To him, an external spirit bone was nothing more than an additional limb—merely an extension of one's body.

But he failed to consider the vast difference between his own spiritual strength and Tang San's.

Tang San stood up, slightly fatigued. "Brother Tianyang, thank you. Without your help, my Eight Spider Lances might have injured someone again."

"It was nothing," Xiao Tianyang replied nonchalantly. "You've just grown eight extra arms. A little discomfort is normal."

As planned, the group disbanded, though Tang San was taken away by Yu Xiaogang—presumably to study the Eight Spider Lances further.

As if granting an unspoken reprieve, Flender did not resume training for the rest of the day.

That night, in the secluded back mountain, Xiao Tianyang stood still, eyes closed, gripping Cong Yunqie in his hand.

Dark clouds blanketed the sky, obscuring the moonlight, making the forest appear particularly eerie.

A sudden breeze swept through, shifting the clouds and allowing moonlight to cascade down, illuminating Xiao Tianyang.

In that instant, he opened his eyes, moved his blade, and stomped down with his right foot. His movements were like a tiger descending the mountain or a dragon emerging from the sea. The force sent fallen leaves flying in all directions.

Then, a pale sword light slashed through the night, cutting through three trees in its path with mirror-smooth precision.

"Who's there?!"

Xiao Tianyang's voice rang out sharply. Holding his blade with its edge angled upward, he delivered a powerful slash.

This time, the blade light was even more intense, carving a deep trench into the earth.

"Clang!"

The sound of metal colliding echoed as a golden-haired figure was sent flying backward, unable to withstand the sheer force of the attack.

"Saber?!" Xiao Tianyang exclaimed, rushing forward.

Saber, shaking her sore arm, raised her head. Rather than appearing angry, she looked apologetic. "I'm sorry. I saw you heading toward the back mountain alone and wanted to check on you..."

"If you wanted to follow me, you should have just said so."

Xiao Tianyang glared at her. "Do you realize? If I had used more force just now, you would have been injured!"
