Chapter 81: Royal Academy
Entering the city, they strolled through Tiandou City.
The group finally experienced the true prosperity of Tiandou City.
The streets were bustling with people, filled with a dazzling array of rare treasures.
Everything a soul master could possibly need for training could be found here.
Oscar was nearly overwhelmed with excitement.
As they turned a corner, a familiar sign immediately caught Ma Hongjun's attention.
Walking over, he discovered it was the enrollment sign for Blue Tyrant Academy.
Glancing around to make sure no one was watching, the red-haired boy didn't hesitate to rip the sign down.
Oscar looked around excitedly but was quickly dragged away by Dai Mubai. Soon, they arrived at Tiandou Royal Academy.
Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the academy was picturesque. Flander, Zhao Wuji, and the others couldn't help but show satisfied expressions.
The scenery was beautiful—definitely a pleasant place to live and study.
They quickened their pace, but before they could enter, several figures stepped forward to block their way.
"Stop right there. This is Tiandou Royal Academy. Who are you?"
The young man in front looked at Flander and the others with clear hostility.
"We're here for an exchange program," Dai Mubai stepped forward, his expression calm and cold.
"Since when did Tiandou Royal Academy become a place where any random group can just show up?"
"A bunch of old beggars bringing along some little beggars," Xue Beng sneered, pointing mockingly at Dai Mubai and the others.
As soon as the words left his mouth, the group behind him burst into laughter.
Xue Beng had already heard about this group from Yu Tianheng, so there was no way he would let them into the academy.
Flander's face darkened. But before he could speak, Dai Mubai suddenly appeared right in front of Xue Beng.
Boom!
With a loud crash, Xue Beng was sent flying.
Immediately, soul rings appeared around Dai Mubai as he activated his martial spirit without hesitation.
No one had ever dared to insult him to his face.
Let alone insult his teacher.
"Boss Dai, Teach them a lesson!" Oscar shouted excitedly from behind.
If he weren't an auxiliary-type soul master, he would've rushed forward himself.
"Oscar is right! Hit them hard!"
Ning Rongrong was furious, her face flushed with anger. As the little princess of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, when had she ever been humiliated like this?
The others looked ready to charge forward, but Flander quickly stopped them.
Encouraged by his companions, Dai Mubai didn't hold back. He charged straight into the group.
When the young men saw the three soul rings around Dai Mubai, they were so terrified that they backed away in panic.
Dai Mubai showed no mercy. With just a few swift movements, several of them were slapped flying like rag dolls.
"So this is the so-called Tiandou Royal Academy? Full of garbage."
Dai Mubai snorted coldly after dealing with them.
"What's going on here?"
At that moment, a voice suddenly came from behind the crowd.
"Teacher Sun, they're causing trouble!"
Xue Beng rushed over, only to be kicked again, rolling across the ground in a pathetic heap.
Teacher Sun turned his gaze toward Dai Mubai and the others, finally settling his eyes on Flander.
"Who are you?"
"If you've got something to say, go talk to Qin Ming," Flander replied coldly, unwilling to waste words.
As soon as Qin Ming's name was mentioned, Teacher Sun's attitude softened considerably, and he quickly turned around.
"Oh, you're here to see Teacher Qin? Right this way."
Then he frowned, shooting a displeased glare at Xue Beng and his group before turning to lead the way.
Even without asking, he could pretty much guess what had happened.
Xue Beng watched them leave, a trace of malice flashing in his eyes before he hurried away.
When Qin Ming saw Flander and the others, he quickly came forward with a bright smile. "Dean, you're finally here!"
He hadn't heard about the incident just now, and Flander didn't mention it.
"Take me to the person in charge of the academy," Flander said, waving his hand. He wanted to get things settled as soon as possible. For some reason, he felt uneasy under this roof.
Qin Ming was momentarily stunned. He had originally planned to take the Shrek group over tomorrow, but since the dean had requested it now, he naturally wouldn't refuse.
The Supervisory Committee was located at the academy's center, and it only took a short while to arrive.
At the entrance, three figures were already waiting, which surprised Flander.
All three were soul masters above level 80. No one expected them to be standing right at the door.
Not wanting to waste time, Flander quickly stepped forward.
"Flander greets you, seniors."
"Hahaha, no need to be so polite. I heard you've trained an excellent group of students—and even defeated a team from our academy."
One of the old men laughed as he walked forward, his gaze sweeping over Ma Hongjun and the others.
When his eyes landed on Ma Hongjun, he paused for a moment longer.
"I heard that one of these children has a martial spirit strong enough to suppress the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex?"
Another old man stepped forward, locking his eyes directly on Ma Hongjun.
Ma Hongjun immediately felt an invisible pressure bearing down on him.
He realized this was likely a test from the elder.
Thinking of how Tang San had endured this kind of pressure, Ma Hongjun's face became serious.
Seeing that the red-haired boy was still holding out, a trace of surprise appeared on the old man's face.
These kids were only level 30 soul masters, yet even some level 40s couldn't handle this pressure.
The old man nodded and increased the pressure even more, wanting to see where this kid's limits were.
"As expected of a genius. These kids must all be over level 30."
The satisfaction in Meng Shenji's eyes grew even stronger. Every student in this team possessed top-tier martial spirits, and their strength was far beyond that of ordinary students.
Bringing them into the Royal Academy was absolutely the right decision.
"About joining the academy—"
Before Meng Shenji could finish, a loud voice came from outside.
"Is the Chief available?"
The voice was strong, with an arrogant tone.
Flander looked up and saw three figures walking toward them from the distance.
One of them was the young man from the entrance earlier.
In the lead was a middle-aged man dressed in extravagant robes, strolling casually before the crowd.
"Chief, who are these people standing here?"
The middle-aged man glanced sideways, not even bothering to properly look at Flander and the others.
"These are the teachers and students from Shrek Academy," Meng Shenji replied. Though he didn't know why the prince had suddenly come, he still answered honestly.
The middle-aged man sneered.
"Shrek?"
"Never heard of it. Must be some second-rate academy."
His tone was filled with disdain, making it clear he didn't take Flander and the others seriously.
Flander and his companions' faces instantly darkened.
Even Meng Shenji's face soured. He hadn't expected the prince to show up and be so aggressive.
Off to the side, Xue Beng's eyes gleamed with satisfaction.
After offending me, you think you can still join the academy? These people really don't know their place.
At that moment, Ma Hongjun noticed the pressure on him had disappeared. He wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Only then did he realize that a few more people had arrived.
Following the sound, Ma Hongjun turned to look—and his breathing instantly quickened.
If anyone asked who he most wanted to see, it was undoubtedly the figure standing right there.
Holding his breath, that figure quietly followed Prince Xue Xing.
