On Earth, as soon as Su Ming completed the first Divine Trial, a list of rewards appeared in his mind.

The gentle voice of the Goddess of Life resonated in his thoughts:

"[First Divine Trial of Life: Completion with Surpassing Results - Rewards: 10% affinity with the Life attribute, +1 spirit power level, 5,000 years added to each spirit ring, and one Divine Spirit Ring.]"

Seeing these rewards from the Goddess of Life, Su Ming was astonished. The first two rewards seemed fairly standard, but getting a Divine Spirit Ring just for completing the first trial? Was this the generosity of a Divine King-level reward?

The first trial alone had such rich rewards. Just then, the details of the second trial entered Su Ming's mind:

"[Second Trial of Life: Break through the Ring Sea's blockade without harming any sea soul beasts, within a 30-second limit, and without using spirit ring skills.]"

"What?" Su Ming thought. "A 30-second time limit? Isn't this a bit extreme?"

Then, the voice of the Goddess of Life gently filled his mind again, "Su Ming, Sea God made a bet with me, claiming you'd never pass the first trial. He lost, and I gained a Divine Soul Fruit for you. This fruit will be valuable when you ascend to godhood."

Su Ming nodded knowingly. No wonder the Goddess of Life had set such a challenging first trial; it wasn't her typical style. If it had been the God of Destruction, that would make more sense.

"Did the Goddess of Life design the second trial this way as part of a bet with Sea God, too?" Su Ming asked, curious.

"Yes," replied the Goddess of Life, "the wager is for another Divine Soul Fruit. Although this second trial restricts spirit ring skills, I know all your ring skills are supportive in nature. Your teleportation and other attack and defense abilities are your self-created techniques or powers of your eyes, so the second trial should be quite manageable."

Su Ming grinned and nodded, then the Goddess's voice faded.

He then turned to look at Xiao Wu behind him. Although he hadn't said anything to her, he sensed that Xiao Wu was also aiming to pass the first trial today. At full strength, Xiao Wu managed to push herself through the 800th step despite the difficulty and completed the trial.

As soon as she finished, a voice echoed in her mind:

"[Red-level First Trial: Early Completion - Rewards: +1 spirit power level, 1,000 years added to each spirit ring.]"

Feeling her increased spirit level, Xiao Wu smiled brightly. "Not bad," she thought, now at level 66.

In an instant, both Xiao Wu and Su Ming were back on the ground, sharing their rewards with the others.

Hearing their rewards, the group was both impressed and eager, excited by the idea of receiving extra rewards for early completion. Su Ming, however, gently cautioned, "Honestly, it's not really worth it for most of you to rush through the first trial. The Sea God's Light here accelerates spirit power cultivation, so I hope you use the entire year for training."

He then added, "Unless, like Xiao Wu, you can pass the trial alone without my assistance, don't let the rewards distract you."

Finally, he turned to Elder Chrysanthemum and Elder Ghost. "Elder Chrysanthemum, Elder Ghost, the two of you are exceptions. Since you're already level 96 Titled Douluo, the Sea God's Light won't help you much, but completing the trial early could provide a big boost to your spirit power. Even a basic spirit power increase would be highly beneficial for you both!"

Hearing this, Chrysanthemum and Ghost were enthusiastic but a bit concerned. "Su Ming," they said, "but as you mentioned, we're both already level 96. Would the Sea God really grant us a spirit power boost? After level 95, isn't enlightenment also necessary for progress?"

Su Ming shook his head. "I'm not certain, but I do know this: don't underestimate the power of a god. Gods have extraordinary abilities and can employ various methods to raise your strength. As the Sea God is sustained by belief, if he has enough of it, he can enhance your power within the bounds of his authority."

Pausing, Su Ming thought to himself, "Fortunately, the Goddess of Life and the God of Destruction are watching Sea God. Otherwise, he might find ways to speed up Tang San's growth too."

However, Su Ming was uncertain if this rapid growth might have side effects. In the original story, Tang San's first trials only enhanced his affinity with the Sea God, but Su Ming's trials offered far more lavish rewards. Was this the difference between a Divine King and a Level 1 god?

Afterward, Su Ming held off obtaining his eighth spirit ring and instead helped Elder Chrysanthemum and Elder Ghost complete the trial. He was curious about the rewards Sea God would grant them.

With Su Ming's assistance and their own supportive spirit skills, Chrysanthemum and Ghost managed to pass the first trial.

Seeing four people complete the trial in one day, Sea Horse Douluo and the others were stunned. Could the first trial be this simple? They recalled how each of them had spent over a year just to pass. They understood the true intensity of the Sea God's Light, yet…

Upon completing the first trial, Chrysanthemum and Ghost both heard a voice in their minds that sounded authoritative yet somewhat… resentful?

Delighted, the two looked gratefully at Su Ming, nodding in acknowledgment. Without them saying a word, Su Ming could sense their soul power surging, knowing they had reached level 97.

Was the Sea God perhaps pressured by the Goddess of Life and the God of Destruction? Otherwise, would he really expend so much of his believers' power to help these two advance?

"Su Ming, our power has grown," Chrysanthemum and Ghost said, "but the voice in our minds sounded almost… bitter?"

Their words confirmed Su Ming's suspicions: the two Divine Kings must have intervened somehow.

Chrysanthemum and Ghost still had three more trials. If each trial granted them a spirit power boost, they would reach level 100 and attain godhood. How would Sea God handle the subsequent rewards?
