It had been nearly a year since Lin Yongming had engaged in a proper battle.

With his recent surge in strength, Lin Yongming wasn't entirely sure where he stood after consuming the immortal herb and obtaining a ten-thousand-year soul ring. The Sunset Forest would have been an ideal place to test his abilities, as soul beasts were the best opponents for such training. However, battles with soul beasts were often life-and-death struggles, with no room for mercy.

Even if Lin Yongming didn't say it out loud, he knew that Blue Silver Emperor would vehemently oppose such a plan. On one hand, Blue Silver Emperor worried about Lin Yongming getting injured. On the other hand, as a soul beast herself, she couldn't bear to see him indiscriminately killing other soul beasts.

No matter which side she considered, Blue Silver Emperor was unwilling to let such a situation unfold. If Lin Yongming wanted to gauge his true strength, the best option was to head to the Great Spirit Arena in Heaven Dou City.

"Finally, we're leaving the Sunset Forest. Although the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well is a great place, staying here for too long has made everything feel monotonous," Blue Silver Emperor remarked, glancing back at the toxic barrier protecting the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

"True. For the past few months, it's been nothing but roasted meat and dry rations. Plus, we've been pushing ourselves hard in training. It's time to give our minds and bodies a break," Lin Yongming agreed with a nod.

"Once we reach Heaven Dou City, I'm going to feast on a big meal and buy myself a couple of new outfits," Blue Silver Emperor said, her face lighting up with anticipation.

"Sure, go ahead," Lin Yongming replied with a smile. It seemed that shopping and dressing up were innate desires for women, even someone like Blue Silver Emperor.

"Let's go! I can't wait any longer," Blue Silver Emperor exclaimed, grabbing Lin Yongming's hand and pulling him toward the outskirts of the forest.

"A'Yin, slow down. It's only around ten in the morning. Be careful; we might run into a thousand-year soul beast," Lin Yongming reminded her with a hint of amusement.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was located in an area of the Sunset Forest inhabited by soul beasts ranging from eight thousand to ten thousand years in cultivation. While the two of them weren't afraid of such creatures, encountering a few of them could still be troublesome.

"Don't worry. My Blue Silver Grass is constantly monitoring our surroundings, and with your sensing abilities, we'll detect any soul beast within a hundred meters," Blue Silver Emperor replied nonchalantly.

With that, the two of them strolled through the forest as if they were taking a leisurely walk in the city, making their way toward the outskirts with ease.

After about half an hour, Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor suddenly stopped in their tracks. They both sensed intense combat and soul power fluctuations coming from ahead.

"A'Yin, should we check it out?" Lin Yongming asked.

"Since it's on our way out, let's take a look," Blue Silver Emperor agreed with a nod.

Soon, the two of them arrived near a large tree. In the clearing ahead, they saw four young individuals—one young man and three young women, all around twenty years old. They were dressed in identical milky-white uniforms, likely students from some academy. Their attire was elegant and refined, suggesting they came from wealthy backgrounds.

"Good heavens, Flame Beasts! And a mated pair at that. Why would these students provoke them? Last time, there were teachers accompanying the students, but now there's no one to guide them," Blue Silver Emperor muttered, observing the two Flame Beasts.

The beasts were a male and female, with cultivation levels of eight thousand and seven thousand years, respectively. They resembled a cross between a lion and a hound, with fiery red fur that seemed to burn like flames.

"I sense that one of the girls has a soul power of level 40, and her martial soul is a fire-attribute tool-type. She's probably here to obtain a soul ring. But it seems they only expected one Flame Beast and were caught off guard when the second one appeared," Lin Yongming analyzed.

"But why are two of them support-type soul masters? One is a level 42 support-type, and the other is a level 36 healer. Their clothes don't look like they're from ordinary families," Blue Silver Emperor wondered aloud.

Blue Silver Emperor was right. The young man, despite being a support-type soul master, had the highest soul power among the four. His martial soul was a seven-story pagoda.

"A seven-story pagoda martial soul! Is he from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan?" Lin Yongming thought to himself.

In the Douluo Continent, pagoda-type martial souls were rare, and the most famous one belonged to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, one of the top three sects. Given that the young man's pagoda was a support-type tool soul, Lin Yongming was almost certain he was a member of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.

"There must be a special reason for this," Lin Yongming muttered with a sigh.

"Hong Ying, hold on! I've sent a message, and my uncle will be here soon," the young man said, standing behind a girl wielding a flaming spear.

The girl with the spear was the level 40 soul master. She was currently fending off the attacks of the eight-thousand-year Flame Beast.

"First Soul Skill: Flaming Sweep!" The girl swung her spear in a wide arc, each strike accompanied by bursts of fire.

"Be careful!" the young man called out from behind.

"Quiet!" the girl snapped, clearly annoyed by his interruptions. She raised her spear to block a claw strike from the Flame Beast.

Meanwhile, another girl, an ice-attribute control-type soul master with level 37 soul power, was struggling against the female Flame Beast. "I can't hold it back anymore!" she cried out.

With a fiery swipe, the Flame Beast tore through the girl's sleeve, leaving burn marks and claw wounds on her arm.

"Xiao Yan! Healing Staff!" the healer rushed forward to tend to the injuries.

On the other side, the spear-wielding girl was also reaching her limit. Her flaming spear was knocked out of her hands, and a tail swipe sent her flying, crashing heavily to the ground.

"A'Yin, let's step in," Lin Yongming said, sensing the dire situation.

"Of course!" Blue Silver Emperor replied, summoning her martial soul. However, her dazzling golden Blue Silver Grass had been disguised to look like ordinary grass.

Lin Yongming also summoned his martial soul, the Thunder Blade, and the two of them appeared beside the four students.

"Fourth Soul Skill: Blue Silver Prison!" In an instant, Blue Silver Emperor trapped both Flame Beasts in a cage made of Blue Silver Grass.

"First Soul Skill: Thunder Slash!" Lin Yongming followed up with two lightning-fast slashes, each aimed at one of the Flame Beasts.

The Thunder Slashes cut through the cages, and with a loud thud, the Flame Beasts collapsed to the ground, unable to fight back.

"First Soul Skill: Blue Silver Thorns!" Blue Silver Emperor delivered the final blow before dispelling the prison. When the cages vanished, the two Flame Beasts lay motionless on the ground.

"Are you all okay?" Blue Silver Emperor asked the four students.

"Soul Kings! Such incredible strength, taking down thousand-year soul beasts in an instant," the young man exclaimed, the first to recover from the shock.

The other three girls also regained their composure. "Thank you for saving us," they said in unison.

"Let me heal your injuries. Second Soul Skill: Blue Silver's Protection," Blue Silver Emperor offered, seeing that all four of them were wounded.

A green light split into four streams, each entering one of the students.

"Such powerful healing! Is that really a Blue Silver Grass martial soul?" the young man thought to himself, eyeing Blue Silver Emperor's martial soul with surprise.

"You're students, right? Why isn't there a teacher with you?" Lin Yongming asked as he stepped forward to stand beside Blue Silver Emperor.

"Well, we're on a break right now, so…" the young man replied awkwardly.

"I see," Lin Yongming said, not particularly interested in the explanation.

"Your injuries should be mostly healed, and your soul power should have recovered a bit," Blue Silver Emperor said as she retracted her martial soul.

"Hong Ying, are you okay? Let me check," the young man said, rushing over to the spear-wielding girl with concern.

"I'm fine," Hong Ying replied, clearly annoyed by his attention.

"Thank you for saving us. My name is Hong Ying," she said, stepping forward to address Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor.

"You're welcome. I assume you're here for a soul ring. Which one do you want?" Lin Yongming asked curiously.

"Yes, thanks to you. I'll take the seven-thousand-year Flame Beast," Hong Ying replied.

"Go ahead. But don't touch the other one," Lin Yongming instructed.

Without a word, Hong Ying thrust her spear into the Flame Beast, killing it instantly. A purple soul ring emerged, and Hong Ying sat down to begin absorbing it, seemingly unafraid of any interference from Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor.

"Thank you for saving us. We're students from Heaven Dou Royal Academy. My name is Ning Fengzhi," the young man introduced himself with a smile.

"Ning Fengzhi!" Lin Yongming exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes, that's me. Do you know me?" Ning Fengzhi asked, noticing Lin Yongming's reaction.

"Uh, no. I just thought the name sounded familiar. The continent is vast, so it's not uncommon for people to share the same name," Lin Yongming replied calmly.

"Why did I have to run into Ning Fengzhi here…" Lin Yongming thought to himself, feeling a bit exasperated.

"That makes sense. Are you two heading out of the forest? Why don't we go together? Once we reach Heaven Dou City, I'll treat you to a meal," Ning Fengzhi offered.

"No need. It was just a small favor. No need to be so formal," Blue Silver Emperor replied on behalf of Lin Yongming.

"But we really want to thank you. After all, you saved our lives," Ning Fengzhi insisted.

"Yeah, big sister, we know Heaven Dou City really well," the girl named Xiao Yan chimed in.

"Really, it's not necessary. We have our own matters to attend to," Blue Silver Emperor declined politely.

"But…"

"Fengzhi, your Uncle Jian is here," a voice called out as a sword-shaped figure descended from the sky.

"Fengzhi, are you alright?" The newcomer was a middle-aged man with grayish-white hair, exuding a sharp, sword-like aura.

"Uncle Jian, I'm fine. Thanks to these two, we were saved," Ning Fengzhi explained.

"Such immense soul power! Even stronger than Dugu Bo!" Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor both thought to themselves.

While Blue Silver Emperor didn't recognize the man, Lin Yongming knew exactly who he was—the Sword Douluo, Chen Xin, a titled Douluo and guardian elder of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.

"Thank you for saving my nephew," Sword Douluo said, his imposing aura softening slightly.

"Greetings, senior. Since you're here, they're in safe hands. We'll take our leave now," Lin Yongming said respectfully.

"Very well. If you have matters to attend to, we won't keep you," Sword Douluo replied with a nod.

"A'Yin, let's go," Lin Yongming said, taking Blue Silver Emperor's hand and leading her away.

Once they were out of Sword Douluo's sight, Lin Yongming let out a quiet sigh of relief. "It seems even Sword Douluo couldn't see through Blue Silver Emperor's true identity."

"Xiao Ming, you handled that well. They're likely nobles from Heaven Dou City. It's best not to get too involved with them," Blue Silver Emperor said.

Lin Yongming knew that Blue Silver Emperor had little patience for noble families. If it hadn't been for the students' dire situation, she wouldn't have intervened at all.

"Yeah, they're probably from a major clan. That man's soul power was even deeper than Dugu Bo's. He's definitely a titled Douluo, likely from one of the great sects or noble families," Lin Yongming agreed.

Soon, the two of them exited the Sunset Forest.

Following Blue Silver Emperor's guidance, they made their way to Heaven Dou City, arriving at the city gates around noon.

"A'Yin, I think you should wear a veil to cover part of your face," Lin Yongming suggested as they waited in line to enter the city.

"Why?" Blue Silver Emperor asked, puzzled.

"Well, even though I can't see, I know you're stunningly beautiful. Heaven Dou City is full of spoiled young nobles. If one of them takes a liking to you, it could cause trouble," Lin Yongming explained.

"Oh, stop it. I'm just average-looking," Blue Silver Emperor said, blushing slightly. "But your suggestion makes sense. Unfortunately, I don't have a veil with me."

"I guess we'll have to buy one after we enter the city. It's broad daylight, and we're under the Emperor's rule. Surely no one would dare cause trouble in plain sight," Lin Yongming said.

"Don't be so sure. Some of these noble brats are completely brainless. They might just cause a scene regardless of the time or place," Blue Silver Emperor replied.

"Don't worry. If we run into someone like that, I'll deal with them. We can always seek help from the Spirit Hall in Heaven Dou City if things get out of hand," Lin Yongming reassured her.

"Alright. After we enter the city, let's buy a veil first. It's better to avoid trouble altogether. We can't just hide in the Spirit Hall forever," Blue Silver Emperor agreed.

As they chatted quietly, their turn to enter the city finally came. After a quick inspection of their Spirit Hall identification, they were allowed inside.

The moment they stepped through the gates, it felt like they had entered a different world. The streets were bustling with people, and the air was filled with the sounds of vendors hawking their wares.

"Xiao Ming, there are so many people! And look at all these stalls selling strange and interesting things," Blue Silver Emperor said, linking her arm with Lin Yongming's.

"I can hear all the noise. Let's keep an eye out for a stall selling veils," Lin Yongming suggested.

"Good idea. We can browse the stalls as we make our way further into the city," Blue Silver Emperor agreed.

After walking for a while, Blue Silver Emperor tugged on Lin Yongming's arm. "Xiao Ming, I see a stall with all kinds of colored veils. Let's go take a look."

"Shopkeeper, how much for these veils?" Blue Silver Emperor asked as they approached the stall.

"Miss, these veils are handcrafted by my wife. They're made from high-quality silk, and the patterns are meticulously embroidered. Each one costs five silver spirit coins," the shopkeeper, an elderly man in his fifties, explained.

"That's quite expensive. Are all of them the same price?" Blue Silver Emperor inquired.

"Yes, they're all the same," the shopkeeper replied.

"Alright, I'll take two."

Blue Silver Emperor handed over a gold spirit coin and selected two veils—one in light blue and the other in pale white.
