The next day, Lin Yongming woke up naturally. It wasn't particularly late, only around nine in the morning, just an hour later than usual.

Blue Silver Emperor, being considerate, didn't wake him up. After all, the trials at the Great Spirit Arena had come to an end.

"You're up. There's fresh bread and milk on the table," Blue Silver Emperor said, tidying up the room. She turned around and pointed to the dining table.

"Thank you. I'll freshen up first," Lin Yongming smiled and headed to the bathroom.

Soon, he returned to the table and began eating breakfast.

Blue Silver Emperor sat down across from him. "Xiao Ming, are we heading back to Thunderstorm Village today? If so, I'll start packing."

"Sister A Yin, how about we spend a couple of days exploring Suotuo City? We've been in the southern part of the city for almost a year and haven't really seen much of it. I heard there's a large park in the north and the largest grain production base in the Balak Kingdom in the west," Lin Yongming suggested after some thought.

Over the past year, Blue Silver Emperor had quietly stayed by his side, never venturing out much. Lin Yongming couldn't help but feel touched by her dedication.

"Really? That sounds great. Let's spend a couple of days here then," Blue Silver Emperor's eyes lit up with joy.

"We'll head out after breakfast. We can pack our things into the spirit tool. Once we're in the northern part of the city, there's no need to come back here," Lin Yongming nodded.

"True. There are plenty of hotels in Suotuo City," Blue Silver Emperor agreed, standing up and glancing around the room.

She sighed softly, "It's just that we've lived in this room for almost a year. I've grown a bit attached to it."

Lin Yongming nodded in agreement, "But it's not our home, after all."

"Finish your breakfast. I'll go pack my things," Blue Silver Emperor said, giving him a look before heading into her bedroom.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city...

"Old Huang, you and the others don't need to come in with me to see Torres."

"Understood, Family Head!"

The man entered the Spirit Hall in Suotuo City. Wang Ming, seeing him, immediately led him to Bishop Torres.

"Wang Ming, who is this?" Bishop Torres asked, puzzled.

"Bishop Torres, it's an honor to meet you. I'm Robert Kang, from Balak City," the man introduced himself.

"Kang? From Balak City..."

"Wang Ming, you may leave," Bishop Torres muttered before dismissing Wang Ming.

"Yes, Bishop," Wang Ming bowed and left the hall.

"Well, well, if it isn't the famous 'Mad Tiger' of Balak City. It's an honor," Bishop Torres said with a forced smile, clasping his hands in greeting.

"Forgive my sudden visit, Bishop. I hope you don't mind," Robert, known as the Mad Tiger, replied.

"You're the head of the prestigious Kang family in Balak City. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Bishop Torres asked curiously.

"Since you've asked, I won't beat around the bush. I need a small favor from you," Mad Tiger stated his purpose.

"Oh? The mighty Mad Tiger needs help from a humble bishop like me? It must be more than a small favor. But please, go on," Bishop Torres said, intrigued.

"It's a simple matter. I'm sure you've heard of Asura, right?"

"What do you mean?" Bishop Torres quickly responded, though internally he thought, Is he trying to recruit Asura into his family?

"Don't misunderstand, Bishop. Asura and I have a bit of a grudge. He killed one of my relatives. I heard you've met him and that he's joined the Spirit Hall. I hope you won't interfere when I capture him. If he tries to seek refuge here, I trust you won't hide him," Mad Tiger explained his true intentions.

"Haha, Mad Tiger, don't you think your request is a bit much? You're asking me to abandon a member of the Spirit Hall. How would I face the Pope if I did that?" Bishop Torres laughed coldly.

"Of course, I wouldn't expect you to help for free. I've prepared 400,000 gold spirit coins for you. How does that sound?" Mad Tiger offered.

"400,000!" Bishop Torres' eyes narrowed slightly.

"Mad Tiger, what kind of person do you take me for? He's a talented member of the Spirit Hall. Do you really think..."

"500,000 gold spirit coins. How about that?" Mad Tiger interrupted again.

Bishop Torres suddenly fell silent, staring intently at Mad Tiger.

"Bishop Torres, you wouldn't want the Pope to find out about your past dealings, would you? I know many nobles from the Balak Kingdom have visited you," Mad Tiger said with a sly smile.

"Mad Tiger, there's no need to be so formal. 500,000 it is. But I have one condition: you must not harm the blue-clothed woman with Asura," Bishop Torres finally smiled.

"Deal. I only want Asura. The woman is yours."

"Here's the 500,000 gold spirit coins," Mad Tiger handed over five large bags.

"Good. But I must remind you, if Asura comes to the Spirit Hall, I can't ignore him. This is my territory, and there are many eyes watching," Bishop Torres quickly stashed the money and warned.

"Your word is enough, Bishop," Mad Tiger nodded, thinking to himself, What a cunning old fox, greedy and lustful.

"I'll go find Asura now," Mad Tiger said before leaving the hall.

Around eleven in the morning, Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor finished packing and went to the hotel front desk to check out.

"Leaving so soon?" the receptionist asked with a smile.

"Yes, we've been in Suotuo City for a while. It's time to move on," Lin Yongming handed over the room key.

"Alright. We hope to see you again," the receptionist said politely.

"Let's go, Sister A Yin," Lin Yongming said to Blue Silver Emperor.

However, as they were halfway through the lobby, the hotel doors were violently pushed open.

"Asura, you're still here! Come with me."

"Wang Ming, what's going on? Why the rush?" The person who burst in was Wang Ming, his face scarred from burns.

"No time to explain. Let's go out the back door," Wang Ming said, heading toward the rear exit.

"What's happening?" Blue Silver Emperor asked, confused.

"I'm not sure, but he seems genuinely urgent. Let's follow him," Lin Yongming replied, equally puzzled.

"Hurry, they're catching up!" Wang Ming hid in a storage room near the back door.

"Wang Ming, what's going on? Who's chasing us?" Lin Yongming followed him into the storage room.

"Asura, someone from Balak City came to the Spirit Hall in Suotuo City. He's here to kill you. I overheard his conversation with Bishop Torres. He bribed Torres with 500,000 gold spirit coins, so don't expect any help from him. Torres also has his eyes on the girl with you," Wang Ming quickly explained.

"What! Bishop Torres is that kind of person?" Lin Yongming was shocked.

"He's after me? What a despicable man!" Blue Silver Emperor seethed with anger.

Half a year ago, Bishop Torres had visited Lin Yongming at the hotel and caught a glimpse of Blue Silver Emperor. Little did they know, he had been coveting her ever since.

"He's always been like this, but he hides it well. His two deputy bishops are also under his control. Over the years, he's oppressed many ordinary families and abducted women."

"If you weren't a member of the Spirit Hall, the girl with you would have already fallen victim to him," Wang Ming clenched his fists, his eyes filled with hatred.

"If you know all this, why haven't you reported him to the Spirit Hall headquarters?" Lin Yongming asked, puzzled.

"It's useless. Who am I? And who is he? I tried once, but when the Spirit Hall sent investigators, Torres had already prepared his alibi. With the entire Suotuo City Spirit Hall under his control, there's no way to expose him."

"Enough about that. I just hope you can leave Suotuo City and immediately send a letter to the Spirit Hall headquarters detailing this situation. With your talent, I'm sure you have some standing in the Spirit Hall. Your letter will definitely be taken seriously," Wang Ming explained hurriedly, his voice filled with despair.

"Why are you telling me all this?" Lin Yongming asked again.

"Because I've been observing you for half a year. I know you're a good person with a strong sense of justice. You're my only hope of getting this information out," Wang Ming said with a bitter smile.

"Hurry, they're in this hotel!"

"Go now, or it'll be too late," Wang Ming urged, pushing Lin Yongming.

"What about you?" Lin Yongming asked.

"I'll be fine. They're here for you."

"Let's go, A Yin," Lin Yongming nodded to Wang Ming and grabbed Blue Silver Emperor's hand, exiting through the back door into the alley.

However, three men were already waiting for them in the alley.

"That's the blind one. Capture him!" the man in the middle shouted.

"What's going on? When did we offend these people?" Blue Silver Emperor asked, bewildered.

The three men didn't give them time to think. They immediately released their spirits and spirit rings—one Soul King and two Soul Ancestors.

Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor also summoned their spirits and spirit rings without hesitation.

"Third Spirit Skill, Blue Silver Bind!"

"First Spirit Skill, Thunder Slash!"

Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor worked together to hold off the three men.

"Let's go! We can't fight them here!" Lin Yongming said urgently after using his spirit skill.

"Right."

The two of them ran down the alley, trying to escape.

"Asura, you're dead!" a furious roar came from behind them.

Mad Tiger burst through the back door and appeared on the street.

"A Soul Saint!" Lin Yongming's heart sank as he saw the seven spirit rings around Mad Tiger—two yellow, two purple, and three black, the optimal configuration.

"Run!" Lin Yongming hadn't expected a Soul Saint to be among their pursuers.

"Who are these people? We've never even met them," Blue Silver Emperor complained as they ran.

"A Yin, I sense two unfamiliar yet familiar auras. Take a look behind us and see if you recognize anyone," Lin Yongming said.

"Alright!" Blue Silver Emperor glanced back and, sure enough, spotted two familiar faces among the eight pursuers.

"The two Soul Kings behind the Soul Saint look familiar. I think I've seen them before."

"One white, two yellow, and two purple spirit rings!"

"I remember now! Back when we encountered that evolving Thunderstripe Tiger in the Star Dou Forest, the one that became your second spirit ring, we ran into three people. Those two Soul Kings are the same ones from back then," Blue Silver Emperor recalled the brief encounter in the forest.

"So that means the Soul Saint with the tiger spirit is the one the young master mentioned—the Mad Thunder Tiger. That explains it."

Understanding the origins of their pursuers, Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor ran even faster, soon reaching the southern gate of the city.

"Get out of the city, quick!" Without hesitation, the two of them dashed past the guards and out of the city gates.

"Damn it, how are they so fast?" Mad Tiger cursed under his breath, his subordinates falling behind.

"No way I'm letting a Soul Ancestor and a Soul Elder escape under my watch. I'd be a disgrace to my son's memory," Mad Tiger growled, chasing after them.

Once outside the city, Mad Tiger let out a furious roar.

"Seventh Spirit Skill, Spirit Avatar!"

A thunderous tiger's roar echoed as a massive, five-meter-tall blue tiger materialized, crackling with lightning. This was the Spirit Avatar of the Mad Thunder Tiger spirit.

"It's the Spirit Avatar!" Blue Silver Emperor exclaimed, shocked that the Soul Saint had resorted to using his ultimate ability so quickly.

The Spirit Avatar greatly enhanced all attributes and the power of other spirit skills, but Soul Saints could only maintain it for about thirty minutes. Once the effect wore off, all their attributes would be halved for seven days.

But Lin Yongming didn't have time to think about that. His only concern was how to escape a Soul Saint in Spirit Avatar form. One wrong move, and they could be killed instantly.

"Third Spirit Skill, Thunder Tiger's Leap!"

"Where do you think you're going!" Mad Tiger leaped over Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor, landing in front of them with a ground-shaking impact.

"Sir, we've never met before. Why are you chasing us?" Lin Yongming tried to buy time.

"Do you remember two years ago, in the Star Dou Forest, when you killed someone? That was my only son. Do you think I shouldn't chase you?" Mad Tiger roared in anger.

"That's nonsense! He was killed by a spirit beast. It had nothing to do with us. In fact, he was the one trying to steal our spirit beast and got himself killed," Blue Silver Emperor retorted loudly.

"So you do remember. Good. Regardless, you're involved. Prepare to die! First Spirit Skill, Thunder Tiger's Claw!" Mad Tiger raised his clawed hands, crackling with lightning, and brought them down.

In the blink of an eye, despite not being an agility-type spirit master, the sheer difference in strength made it impossible for Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor to dodge.

They could only quickly activate their spirit skills to defend themselves.

"Second Spirit Skill, Wave Burst!"

"Fourth Spirit Skill, Blue Silver Prison!"

Blue Silver Emperor didn't intend to control Mad Tiger but instead used her Blue Silver Grass to wrap around herself and Lin Yongming, creating a protective barrier.

"Futile!" Mad Tiger's claws came down, and within seconds, both Lin Yongming and Blue Silver Emperor spat out blood from the impact.
