Dragon Ball: I Became Cell in a Doomed Future

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Levos, the Born Warrior

Bulma's arrival made both Levos and Mr. Popo stop immediately.

"Levos, Mr. Popo, what are you doing?!" Bulma grabbed Levos's arm, her face filled with concern.

"Bulma, this is part of my training." Levos quickly comforted her. He patted the dust off his clothes and looked at Mr. Popo with satisfaction. "Mr. Popo, I think this is a good place to stop for now. I can't process too much at once."

Mr. Popo looked at him in confusion. "Levos, you were holding back your physical strength to match mine by the end. Why didn't you just finish me off?"

"Because I wanted to try fighting you with even less power." Levos scratched his head, a little embarrassed.

"Levos, you're the most naturally gifted warrior I've ever taught," Mr. Popo said seriously. "Perhaps what I've taught you doesn't fully suit your fighting style, but you definitely have battle instincts far beyond the average fighter."

Bulma finally let out a breath of relief, though she was still a little stunned. "You two fought for how long? The whole training ground is destroyed!"

"Less than ten minutes." Mr. Popo smiled in admiration. "You really are a born warrior, Levos. Maybe you truly can create a miracle and defeat those powerful enemies."

"You're flattering me, Mr. Popo." Levos didn't let it go to his head. In fact, he felt a little apologetic. "Sorry, I couldn't hold back properly at first and ended up wrecking the whole plaza."

Then again, isn't battle talent a natural golden cheat code for every Dragon Ball fan with martial arts obsession?

Five thousand years of accumulated wisdom from martial arts ancestors, the countless fighting styles and schools, all deeply ingrained through years of exposure.

Not to mention all the countless theories absorbed from watching the anime, and countless battles mentally replayed over the years.

Aside from hard work, the only thing he lacked was actual combat experience.

"This isn't a big deal. If Earth is destroyed, the Lookout won't survive either," Mr. Popo said calmly.

When Mr. Popo casually mentioned the potential destruction of Earth, Bulma immediately tensed up again.

Levos quickly explained why he'd failed to bring back Ginyu.

"So Frieza and his father have returned to Earth? And they're trying to help Babidi unseal Majin Buu?" Bulma frowned tightly.

"That's right. And the two of them have grown frighteningly stronger. They're far more dangerous than Babidi himself."

"Then what should we do?" Bulma grew anxious. "Can we stop them?"

"I'm afraid it won't be easy," Levos sighed. "Besides, there's another member of their race with even greater potential, lurking in the shadows."

"What should we do now?" Bulma turned to Mr. Popo, clearly hoping he'd have a solution.

Mr. Popo's large lips twitched slightly. "Don't worry. Levos has already contacted Fortuneteller Baba. Your companions will soon return to fight alongside you."

Levos added with a smile, "Fortuneteller Baba has already gone to bring back Goku."

"Goku…"

Bulma's face broke into a faint smile, but tears poured down her cheeks like a broken dam.

Levos gently pulled her into his arms and softly comforted her. "As long as Goku returns, we still have hope."

Levos didn't dare tell her about Trunks's planned 24-hour return.

With the New Namek Dragon Balls now gone, there was no way to revive those who had died.

All they could do now was wait for Goku's return.

"Okay," Bulma choked, nodding quickly. She wiped her tears in a hurry, then suddenly noticed something. "Levos, you're hurt!"

Levos glanced over at the damaged spot on his left shoulder armor and brushed it off. "It's just a scratch. I've already recovered."

The injury was the result of his earlier clash with Frieza and King Cold.

Fortunately, Levos's body had developed remarkable regenerative abilities. A wound like this had already healed completely within ten minutes.

"I made a few spare battle suits. They're all stored inside here." Bulma handed him a capsule.

"Thanks, Bulma."

That's when Levos realized Bulma was also wearing a battle suit.

The styles of their suits were quite different, though both had the same tight-fitting inner layer.

Bulma's armor had additional plates on the front and back of her waist, and her chest armor was split in the middle, only covering about two-thirds of each side.

This design made her already impressive figure stand out even more.

The suit material was undoubtedly top quality, but it seemed a little too thin and form-fitting.

It perfectly outlined every curve of Bulma's body.

Even the subtle movements from breathing and the faint pulse beneath her skin were clearly visible.

Even standing still, those two soft mounds on her chest trembled slightly like pudding, as if they could bounce free at any moment.

Levos covered his face with a deep sigh. It really was too much to look at.

This battle suit, combined with Bulma's figure, was criminally tempting.

"Levos, you were right before the modifications. I didn't properly consider how this adjustment would affect my mobility in battle." Bulma seemed a bit annoyed, tugging her chest armor higher. "I shouldn't have been so impulsive."

Watching her adjust the armor made Levos's head spin a little.

"Well, it's too late now. You'll just have to accept it." When it came to this topic, Levos realized he had no idea how to even respond properly.

Bulma blushed. "My bad. I was just… trying to make up for something I missed out on when I was younger."

Well, everyone wants to be young again and fix their old regrets. That much he could understand.

Levos sighed heavily, helpless.

Honestly, what else could you expect from a woman who once used the Dragon Balls for cosmetic surgery?

Trying to shift his gaze away, Levos glanced at another unique feature of her battle suit—the additional waist armor.

The extra plating was definitely necessary to preserve some modesty.

Otherwise, this would've been even more indecent.

Without even thinking, he knew that with such a tightly fitted bodysuit, her figure would've been completely visible to anyone around.

Levos gently shook his head, quietly thinking that maybe the lab coat suited Bulma best after all.

Taking a deep breath, Levos forced himself to look away. "Mr. Popo, please teach us how to sense ki."

"Follow me." Mr. Popo clasped his hands behind his back and led the way.

The three of them moved to the center of the plaza.

Mr. Popo opened his palm, revealing a small orb radiating a faint blue glow.

"Ki is simply another form of energy. To sense it, you must first develop a certain sensitivity to its presence."

As he spoke, Mr. Popo released the glowing orb, letting it float and slowly circle around his body.

Levos immediately gathered a small energy blast in his palm, but as soon as he released it, the blast simply dropped and exploded on the ground.

Wait. Levos suddenly remembered Tien Shinhan's Ki Control Ball.

If he could learn to control the energy blast, keep it hovering, moving, and stabilizing, wouldn't that prove he could already sense ki?

After all, sensing others' energy was just an advanced application of ki control.

Levos quickly formed another energy blast and focused intently, using his will to control its movement.

The energy flickered in his palm like a candle flame.

Suddenly, it shrank into a small sphere and began to float, wobbling toward him.

Levos finally understood.

Ki was the perfect fusion of mental focus and energy.

"You really are smart. You've already grasped the basics of sensing ki." Mr. Popo nodded in satisfaction. "Now close your eyes and try to locate me."

Levos did as instructed, slowly closing his eyes and focusing on his surroundings.

The cool night breeze brushed past him, and the soft rustling of leaves filled his ears.

Where was Mr. Popo standing?
