Dragon Ball: I Became Cell in a Doomed Future

Facing the four powerful bosses standing guard around Babidi, Levos felt true despair settle in.

All the warriors from Earth had panic written all over their faces.

"Hee hee hee! Majin Buu, heal King Cold first. That blow from Cell didn't leave him unscathed," Babidi ordered gleefully.

Majin Buu hummed cheerfully as he looked around with childlike curiosity, seemingly enjoying himself.

Dabura, however, scoffed coldly. "Lord Babidi, with powerful warriors like us at your side, why waste your attention on that thing?"

"No. I spent decades breaking Majin Buu's seal. His power won't disappoint me," Babidi said confidently.

"Seriously? He looks like a dumb, useless lump. His power level doesn't even match half of mine," Dabura sneered at Majin Buu with visible contempt.

"You're wrong! Majin Buu is the strongest in the universe!"

"Oh really? Then, Lord Babidi, allow me to test if he's truly as powerful as you claim." Dabura raised a hand, and a long sword materialized in his grip.

"Stop! Dabura, are you defying me?" Babidi shrieked, jumping in rage.

"No, my lord. I mean no disrespect. But I do believe a disobedient creature like him needs a lesson," Dabura replied with false humility.

"And what exactly do you plan to do?" Babidi asked warily.

"If he can withstand one blow from me, I'll acknowledge his strength," Dabura said with a sinister grin.

Babidi hesitated, but eventually nodded his approval.

While the two argued, Majin Buu was happily swimming around in the lava lake, humming and laughing.

"Hahaha! I love it here! So warm! A great place to nap!" he said, floating on the lava like it was a hot spring.

Then, a cold flash of steel cut through the air.

Slash!

Majin Buu's body was split clean in two.

"M-Majin Buu! My Majin Buu!" Babidi cried out in disbelief, staring at the bisected body.

"Heh, this is your so-called strongest being in the universe? Pathetic..." Dabura scoffed. "You clearly overestimated him, Lord Babidi."

"No! No! This can't be!" Babidi trembled, unable to accept what he saw. "You dared to harm my precious Majin Buu!"

"Do you believe me now? He's nothing but a worthless blob," Dabura said with scorn.

Just then, a blur of pink shot out from the lava.

Smack!

A hand landed square on Dabura's face.

Boom!

Dabura was blasted across the battlefield, crashing through a rock wall.

Babidi stood frozen, jaw slack, then broke into manic laughter. "Majin Buu is the strongest! Go, Buu!"

Dabura crawled out of the rubble, glaring daggers at the pink menace.

Majin Buu, whose body had just been cut in two, was regenerating rapidly. His rubbery form stretched and rejoined like living clay, healing perfectly.

He patted his belly and grumbled, "So hungry…"

Buu began looking around for something to eat.

Babidi was both stunned and ecstatic.

"Dabura, you're no longer useful. But since you've served me loyally all these years…" Babidi's smile turned dark. "I'll grant you a quick death."

"Majin Buu, kill him."

"W-What?!" Dabura's face paled.

He glanced nervously at Majin Buu, relieved to see the pink blob hadn't moved.

He quickly pleaded, "Lord Babidi, a creature like him will never truly obey you! Someday, you'll lose control and he'll become your downfall. If we don't eliminate him now, he'll be a disaster waiting to happen!"

"Silence! Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Babidi shrieked and pointed. "Majin Buu, I command you, kill him now!"

Majin Buu looked at Dabura, then at Babidi, and suddenly made a funny face. "Pffft!"

"You little!" Babidi stomped in frustration. "If you don't obey, I'll cast the spell and seal you back in your egg!"

"You wouldn't want to go back in the egg, right?"

Buu hesitated, then slowly flew over to Babidi, wearing a childishly obedient expression.

"Hee hee, I'll eat him," Buu said with a grin that stretched to his ears, full of malice.

"Do whatever you want! As long as he dies," Babidi snorted. "You've already revived, Dabura is useless now!"

Dabura stared at his master, trembling.

He had served this man loyally for years, only to be cast aside like trash.

"Lord Babidi… you…" His voice was filled with pain and betrayal.

And then.

"Turn into cookie!"

Zzzzzap!

A pink beam shot toward Dabura!

He narrowly dodged and took off, fleeing in terror without a backward glance.

"Hahahaha!" Babidi cackled. "Chase him down, Buu!"

But just then, a sudden gust of wind blew past Babidi.

"Who's there?!" he shouted in alarm, only to turn and see Frieza standing before him, one finger pointed at his back.

"Oh ho ho… Lord Babidi, you really let your guard down."

Zing!

A crimson light flashed.

Frieza's Death Beam pierced through Babidi's chest!

His body went limp and dropped like a rag doll into the lava below.

King Cold, now fully demonized, roared in rage and lunged at Frieza. Captain Ginyu followed, his face twisted in fury.

Frieza was quickly overwhelmed, pummeled left and right.

Levos suddenly realized something was wrong.

Babidi wasn't dead yet!

Just as he was about to shout a warning.

Babidi's voice rang out again. "Majin Buu, save me! I'm dying!"

Babidi floated above the lava, cradling his wounded chest, encased in a green energy bubble.

"Come quick, or I'll use the spell and seal you away again!"

"You don't want to go back to sleep, do you?!"

Majin Buu hesitated, then flew over with a pouty face.

He tilted his head, and a beam of green light enveloped Babidi's body.

Moments later, Babidi's wound was completely healed.

The sight made Levos and the others look grim.

They were too far from the center of the battlefield powerless to finish Babidi off.

Meanwhile, Frieza was being brutalized by two demonic warriors. His injuries were piling up.

It was only a matter of time before he fell.

"I can't believe it… I'm going to fall again… on Earth!" Frieza let out a final, bitter roar before crashing into the lava.

This time, the ones who brought him down…

Were his father and his most loyal soldier
