Vegeta believed that after training in the gravity room, his strength would reach a level that even the Ginyu Force would fear. However, dealing with this kind of robot turned out to be more challenging than he anticipated.
The enormous robot absorbed Vegeta's energy and converted it into its own strength!
Despite launching a relentless attack, the metal giant suffered little damage, and its energy absorption caused its body to expand into a massive shape. The giant's powerful punch sent Vegeta flying.
"Fool! I'll tear you apart!" Vegeta charged at the giant again, prepared to fight even without the energy bomb.
However, the metal giant showed no interest in fighting and retreated into a cave, retracting its mechanical arms until the cracks in the earth sealed shut.
The broken pieces remained on the ground, but the giant's body had vanished. Vegeta hit the ground in frustration.
"What just happened?" Raditz murmured to himself, perplexed by the situation. He turned to look at the landed spacecraft and was shocked. "Is this only the spacecraft? Where's the planet?"
Many questions swirled in his mind, and Raditz had no answers.
Piccolo was also deep in thought, scanning the lifeless metal planet with a cautious expression.
"How did the spaceship land here, Raditz?" Vegeta asked, flying over with a tone of interrogation. He had managed to resist the metal giant's attack, but in the end, he couldn't prevent the spaceship from being taken away. This naturally ignited a fire within him.
"The power system overheated, and it can't take off for a while."
"Damn!"
Goku scratched his head. "So, how long do we have to stay here?"
"We might have to wait for five hours. The program includes a self-test process, and we can't skip the mandatory security checks," Raditz explained, looking at the stable spacecraft. "But the problem is that we can't be sure when the power system will recover enough for take-off. Additionally, we have no idea about the purpose of this metal planet. Everyone, be careful."
"I'll handle the next guy who shows up," Vegeta declared, but he knew it wouldn't be that simple. The metal giant had revealed a shocking fact – it was connected to the entire planet! Not only did it absorb his energy attacks, but he also witnessed the broken parts being quickly replaced by new metal, at a remarkable speed visible to the naked eye!
Attempting to deal with the giant would mean destroying the entire planet.
"Let's talk it over and rest first," Raditz decided. With the unpredictable situation, he needed time to think.
Goku and Piccolo exchanged glances and followed him. As for Vegeta, he turned to look at the ground's crack, conflicted but eventually suppressing his urge to act impulsively.
Once the spaceship quietly settled behind the metal pillars, its surface showed minor damages, mostly scratches. The exhaust tail and the energy board on top were still hot, but other than that, there were no significant problems.
The crew members had all landed inside the spaceship. Despite the temperature, gravity, and atmospheric composition being similar to Earth's, the peculiar metal planet left everyone with an eerie feeling. It was just too strange!
"This place is eerie; waiting for five hours…"
"Just endure it for a while, everyone."
"The metal giant hasn't moved since it captured us."
Various discussions ensued, but nobody dared to take the initiative to explore. They could only wait and observe.
Raditz couldn't understand why the planet had their space ship in his possession, yet it still hadn't taken action. What was going on?
In suspicion, Tien Shinhan suddenly shouted, "Look! Someone's there!"
He pointed towards the other side, where several tall buildings made of various alloys had shadows moving about. However, it was difficult to discern exactly what they were from a distance.
Krillin strained his eyes and said, "Are they really human? Or are they machines?"
"I'm sure there was someone, I'm not mistaken," Tien Shinhan insisted on his keen eyesight.
Raditz clenched his teeth and flew into the sky. "I'll go take a look. I'll be back to inform you." He understood that without understanding the truth about this strange planet, even if the spaceship regained power, it would be challenging to escape. Contacting the inhabitants or the machinery on the planet was essential – human beings were a must!
He flew towards the figures, casting his eyes upon them, and was taken aback.
They were indeed human!
Their appearance was similar to that of Earth's humans, with comparable limbs, facial features, and body types. There were both tall, slender, young, and elderly people. However, the one difference was that they were all bound by electronic chains, restricting their movement.
There were over 20 of them, marching in a line, some followed by armored tracked machines.
"Are they criminals? In any case, this means there are humans on this planet, even if they're criminals, there should be a system to judge them," Raditz mused, deciding to approach them.
After all, the universal language of the Dragon Ball world allowed communication between different races. With this thought in mind, Raditz felt that even though King Kai's knowledge wasn't of much use, his contributions to the cultural exchange were significant!
With a slight smile, Raditz approached the group, extending his hand to greet them.
He shook his hand in front of them, and they were genuinely startled, quickly exclaiming, "It's a human!"
"Run fast! We need to escape!"
At once, Raditz didn't understand, thinking they were scared. He was about to explain when the machines surrounding them transformed, the long barrels piercing out, aiming their dark muzzles at him.
"Ratatatatata!!!" The red lotus bloomed, the gunfire rumbled, and bullets shot out like a long snake, spraying fiercely. The hard ground was left with deep pits from the impact.
"What the hell! I didn't come to rob prisoners!"
"Don't shoot!"
"Stop, stop! My mistake! My mistake!"
Raditz was chased by these machines, running back and forth. These machines seemed to have a format, lining up and following him, shooting as they moved.
"Bastards! You can fly!" Raditz leaped high, suspending himself in the air. He noticed that these heavy crawler-type machines couldn't attack while airborne.
After three seconds, he was astonished.
The bulky and armored machines suddenly transformed. With mechanical friction, the tracks were dismantled, the barrels retracted, the armor lifted, and they stood up gradually, taking on human forms.
"What the heck, Transformers? Cybertron??"
Raditz was stunned, looking like a frozen portrait.
