Micael just looked at her without responding, for a moment he thought about complimenting her, after all he was really impressed, a feminine outfit that, well, emphasizes a woman's femininity is really attractive to him.
But considering he didn't even compliment Rias, doing that to Akeno would be stupid, and it's not that he didn't find Rias' outfit attractive either, it was just that Akeno's more feminine style appealed to him more.
So instead of answering, he just looked away at Rias, waiting for her to say something.
But doing so, what he didn't know was that Akeno's lips twitched upon seeing how he acted, she didn't expect him to just ignore her without saying.
And the moment he looked at Rias, he saw the girl quickly change her expression.
Rias was just watching the two interact until she frowned at Akeno when she spoke, which quickly changed to a more natural smile when he looked at her.
Seeing his gaze in her direction, and half wondering what it could be, she said calmly to Akeno. — "Mm, Akeno, could you leave us alone, please?"
A strange smile almost formed on Micael's face when he heard Rias, he didn't expect her to ask Akeno to leave out of nowhere and so directly.
He wanted to talk to her alone but it seemed like she had misunderstood his look, he had expected her to say something more to do with what Akeno said and not that, well he decided to at least speak politely to Akeno in her place.
But when he turned to Akeno to speak, she spoke first.
"My goodness, all it took was for him to arrive and you kicked me out, what a great friend you are." — Akeno spoke while shaking her head, with a disappointed expression on her face.
And on Micael's side, he spoke right after her. — "I'm sorry for interrupting, but I really need to talk to Rias now."
Averting her disappointed look from Rias, who was looking at her dryly, Akeno looked at Micael, changing her expression and adopting a slight smile. — "Don't worry, I already know the situation between you two, you really need to get things in order."
Micael just nodded in response.
"Well, since I'm no longer welcome here, then I'll go." — Akeno spoke as she raised her hands with her palms up while shrugging her shoulders.
Finishing saying, she started walking, but instead of going straight past, she stopped next to Micael.
Looking at him from the side, Akeno smiled, but unlike an ordinary smile, this one accompanied gentle changes on her face to make it as feminine and beautiful as possible.
"See you later, Micael." — Akeno spoke in a soft tone while softly winking at him.
'Yes, she definitely noticed that I seemed more impressed with her appearance than Rias's, women are actually more noticeable about these things.' — Was Micael's thought as he watched all of Akeno's brazen actions.
But unfortunately for her, he didn't give her any impressed reaction, instead responding calmly and in a simple tone. — "See you later."
Seemingly unaffected, Akeno smiled a little more at him before turning around and continuing walking.
When passing by Rias, thanks to her having her back turned to him, Micael didn't see that at that moment when she passed, she looked at Rias and winked, with an amused smile on the corner of her lips.
Akeno was shamelessly teasing Rias.
And in response, Rias gave her a clearly unamused squinted look.
But while this exchange between the two was happening, Akeno also didn't notice the look that Micael gave her back.
As mentioned, the dress she wore was something more chaste and feminine, it wasn't an outfit that emphasized her curves, but considering the type of body she had, that type of dress wasn't even necessary.
Which meant that despite being completely covered and without cleavage, her large breasts stood out a lot, something he noticed right away, but which was never his focus.
Now, with the girl dosas for him, what he really wanted to see was in front of him.
Then, with the skirt of the dress falling and vaguely contouring that part that went down to her legs, Micael nodded internally, thinking. — 'Yes, it's definitely a nice ass.'
Micael's appreciation didn't need to be questioned and, furthermore, because it was black, the dress concealed more and made it difficult to see the contour underneath.
But even so, he could still see, even if it was faint, the outline of the panties underneath, which served him to give more internal nods.
Since Akeno had a curvier body, the view he had was more "grandiose" compared to Mari, who had a thinner body.
So yes, even if for a single moment, maybe two seconds, he looked at Akeno's ass covered by the skirt of her dress before looking away.
He was also fully aware that it wasn't a nice thing to do, considering he was about to possibly become Rias's boyfriend, or because it was a disrespectful act towards Akeno herself.
But...meh, who cares, at the very least, he won't do that when he makes things official with Rias and as for Akeno, yes, he's sure she's already done something similar to him without him knowing, so it's fair game.
Then, combined with the time Akeno spent by Rias, Micael looked away at the exact moment she was no longer covering Rias's vision.
And so he watched as she walked to the door and opened it, passing by, the girl even made a point of waving at him and smiling before closing the door.
Click—
With silence filling the room, Micael looked away from the door to Rias who did the same.
And with the two staring at each other for a moment, Rias seemed to lose the calm she had as her face slowly turned red as she looked away.
Gesturing towards the sofas, she said in a somewhat weak tone. — "Mm, let's sit down." — Accompanying her words, she headed towards the sofas.
Micael then followed behind her, with the two ending up sitting on the same sofa next to each other.
Leaning back on the sofa, Micael looked at Rias, the girl was still red in the face, her ponytail passed over her shoulder as she absentmindedly played with her hair.
She seemed too embarrassed and nervous to say anything, so he took the initiative and got straight to the point. — "What happened, why did you write these messages?"
When he arrived he was expecting a very different reaction than she got, he had intended to approach her in a different way but considering how she was acting he changed it to let her explain herself.
Hearing him, she froze for a moment, stopping touching her hair, then lowering her hands, she raised her head while frowning. — "It is...complicated."
"I'm listening." — Micael replied, still looking at her with his face turned away.
Rias slowly took a deep breath, knowing that she would have to clear things up despite her nervousness.
Then, looking at Micael from the side for a moment, she lowered her gaze as she turned towards him while placing her leg on the sofa.
With her hands on her thigh and playing with her hair, Rias kept her gaze down as she opened her lips to speak, but she stopped for a moment, feeling unable.
Feeling her throat tighten with nervousness as her heart raced, Rias stopped, gathering her courage before immediately speaking.
"I...I'm engaged!" — She went while closing her eyes.
And so she stayed, with her heart racing and anxious, she waited for a response from Micael.
But she didn't get any.
A silence broke out, a silence that the longer it lasted only served to make her more tense, then, gathering her courage, she slowly opened one eye to look at Micael.
And what she saw was Micael with his eyelids half drooping and his lips pulled at the corners into a thin line, his face seemed to say: 'Really?'.
Seeing his face, she opened both her eyes as she raised her head, wondering why he was looking at her like that.
In fact, at that moment Micael wondered what was going on in her head, the way she spoke could have left any other guy collapsing.
But luckily he wasn't just any guy and mostly he was aware of what was going on, so he didn't have any reaction other than looking at her like that.
Seeing how confused the girl looked when looking at him, Micael returned his expression to normal, turning towards her and placing his leg on the sofa, he rested his head on the fist that was on the backrest as he spoke. — "Please explain yourself better."
Rias blinked at his behavior, honestly, she expected more, maybe until he got angry or something, but she should have expected this calm, after all it was Micael she was talking to.
But she was also trying to understand why that expression from before, it wasn't like she had...ah.
Understanding came to Rias as her eyes slowly widened, the blush on her face increasing.
She finally understood how her words could have sounded and been interpreted, fortunately, Micael, in addition to being calm, seemed quite understanding.
Unfortunately, she had no one but herself to blame, but in her defense, she wasn't in the best mental state, her nervousness and anxiety got the better of her.
Bringing her hands to her face, she stayed like that while taking deep breaths and exhaling trying to calm down, if she wanted to explain things without ruining everything she had to remain calm.
Inhaling and exhaling deeply one last time, she lowered her hands revealing her face with a calmer expression, but still with traces of shame, her blush now much less.
Then, before Micael's calm and waiting gaze, Rias began to narrate her situation. — "Well, mm, to be exact, I was forced into an engagement, against my will..."
...
"Hmm." — Micael hummed, with his hand on his chin and a thoughtful look. — 'Yes, that's exactly what I thought it would be.'
The girl had just explained what led her to send those messages to him, and it was as he expected, the whole engagement situation and everything.
Honestly, he understood her reasoning, it made sense, and he really had no excuses or counterpoints for her.
Because even if he got stronger in a few months to the point of defeating Riser, it wouldn't make a difference because he's not a devil, he can't interfere in any way, at least not directly.
Naturally, now that Rias was almost his girlfriend, he had already thought of some plans to deal with Riser, but that was a topic for another time because during her explanation Rias herself gave a solution.
Dating in secret.
That was her solution because in her own words, as long as they were hidden and not obvious, everything would be fine, what about her family's opinion? Well, she said her brother would support her and that would be enough.
She also talked about the condition of the rating games to end the engagement, and her solution to this went beyond asking Grayfia for help, she also said that he could help her with his powers.
Honestly for Micael, the excited look she gave him when she talked about it was really cute.
But yes, he understood her point of view, his healing ability that she hadn't even seen yet was the possible thing that gave her that hope.
He wondered how she would react if she discovered the true nature of her power; she would probably feel that her concern about this situation was unnecessary.
But that was also a topic for another time, in general, the girl herself already thought of solutions to these problems, despite her clearly naive thinking.
He would resolve this matter himself by having a frank conversation with Grayfia and especially with Sirzecs, but for now he would follow Rias' plan because he didn't want to wait months to be with her.
Then, breaking out of his pensive pose, he looked back at Rias who was hugging a pillow to her chest and looking at him a little nervously.
"So? What do you say?" — Rias asked anxiously waiting for the answer.
Smiling, Micael answered her. — "Of course I accept your proposal, we still have to discuss the details of this, but yes, I accept your plan."
"Yes!" — Rias exclaimed excitedly and happily, her fist rising along with her words.
After her outburst, the realization that she now had a boyfriend came slowly, her fist lowering as the blush returned to her face from her action, her becoming hyperaware of Micael's presence.
She ended up hugging the pillow awkwardly, the thought that she now had a boyfriend was still on her mind as she felt a little disbelief at how the realization of her feeling up until that point was only a day old.
Looking smiling at the girl who seemed to process the situation, Micael said. — "Do you realize we've been acting like we've already declared ourselves to each other this whole time?"
Upon hearing his words, Rias blinked as she realized that, it was true, from the beginning they acted as if they had already declared themselves, as if they were completely sure of each other's feelings.
There were exchanges of messages that could have hinted that there was something, but it was with this face-to-face conversation that they had this strange chemistry, it was as if they unconsciously already knew each other's feelings.
As Rias pondered this, she saw how Micael calmly stood up from the couch as he spoke.
"Just because we haven't done it before doesn't mean we can't do it now." — Micael still spoke with a smile, looking at the girl who just looked back at him in silence.
Remembering that she liked Japanese culture, Micael slowly bowed as he extended his hand and said. — "Rias Gremory, do you want to go out with me?" — Saying that, he raised his head to look at her, still with the smile on his face.
Rias blinked at Micael's actions and words, then, finally understanding, a full smile appeared on her face as she stood up.
Laughing happily for a moment, she stood facing Micael, bowing slightly as she took his hand and said. — "I agree to go out with you, Micael Alvez de Aoyoama, please take care of me~."
And with that said, the two straightened up and looked at each other with smiles on their faces.
Rias had a full and beautiful smile that conveyed her happiness, and Micael had a less bright smile but conveyed his obvious contentment and joy.
So, inside the old building, in the Orc's room, Rias and Micael declared their feelings for each other.
From that moment on, they were officially a couple.
...
[Monday. Kuoh Academy]
At that moment, Issei felt particularly bored.
That Monday was like the others, full of failed attempts to go out on a date, full of disgusted and hateful looks and attempts to spy on girls.
Of course, there was that annoying gossip about that guy, there was much less of it than before, but it still filled him with envy how some girls looked at him.
He still didn't understand how that guy hadn't taken advantage of the opportunity and gone out with all those girls, if it were him he wouldn't let the opportunity pass him by.
"Damn muscular Riajuu, explode." — Issei muttered in a tone filled with jealousy and a clear look of envy.
However, after speaking, he stopped looking around cautiously among the other students before letting out a sigh and walking back towards the exit.
It seemed like his envy and jealousy went to his head for a moment making him speak without thinking, even though that guy seemed very calm he shouldn't try his luck by saying such things out loud.
Feeling depressed after another difficult day with no results, Issei glumly thought about "rewarding" himself for the rest of the afternoon with some videos.
When walking with his head down without paying much attention to his surroundings, he ends up almost bumping into someone who stops in front of him.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I didn't see...you..." — He spoke quickly, apologetically, only to slowly stop, looking shocked with his mouth open at whoever was in front of him.
That's because in front of him was a beautiful and super cute girl, with long black hair and a summer dress.
As he looked at her with his mouth open, the girl spoke shyly, blushing slightly.
"Mm...you're Hyodou Issei-kun, right?"
With her talking to him like that, Issei's eyes widened as he questioned himself screaming internally.
'What is happening!?'
And while Issei was wondering, not far from the two, a certain muscular Riajuu was watching them.
Looking at them from the side, Micael thought calmly.
'It seems to have started.'
