DxD: Wrong Way

Chapter 89: Chapter 87 - Club's Activity Part 3

After Rias settled things, she opened a rift in space and returned directly to Kuou Academy.

Forty minutes later, the teachers and students of Gosha Academy gathered in the indoor gymnasium for the second time today.

Only this time, they were lying down…

Under the hypnotic instructions, nearly everyone assembled in the indoor gymnasium, making it easy for the white-haired girl to be knocked unconscious and for Aoki to be transported and gathered.

Aoki looked down from the center of the performance stage.

There were boys on the left side of the gymnasium and girls on the right side.

Judging by the numbers, the ratio of men to women in Gosha Academy was quite even.

Just as Aoki was contemplating something else, a hole opened in space in front of him, and Rias peeked out with half of her body.

"Is everyone ready?"

"Eh."

"Then I'll bring someone."

With that, she was the first to exit the transmission channel formed by spatial magic, followed by an unfamiliar little girl.

The little girl timidly nodded toward Aoki and shyly hid behind Rias.

"Anyin, don't pretend here. Besides, you're blocking my path."

Shitori Sona's cold voice resonated from the hall.

The little girl pursed her lips and reluctantly stepped aside.

After the black-haired girl with glasses appeared in front of Aoki, the spatial channel gradually closed, and the long, narrow cracks instantly healed and disappeared.

After being intrigued by this spatial magic for a while, Aoki turned his attention to his surroundings.

"President Sona, long time no see."

Shitori Sona adjusted the glasses on her nose and chuckled, "Didn't I just see you at the morning meeting this morning?"

"That's different," Aoki chuckled as well, "I originally thought the meeting would end early and then I would formally visit, but this happened."

"Okay, if you want to chat, I'll have plenty of time when I get back."

Rias stood between the two with subtle humor, "Let's deal with this matter first. The longer it is delayed, the more trouble there will be."

Aoki and Shitori Sona looked at each other and nodded simultaneously.

"Let me tell you first, there's no problem lifting the hypnosis, but if you ask me to modify the memories of so many people all at once, I can't do it."

The small girl whom Shitori Sona referred to as Anyin suddenly spoke up.

Rias returned to Kuoh Academy not only to bring people here but, more importantly, to explain what had happened.

So, before coming, Shitori Sona and Anyi Mika already knew what had occurred and what they should do upon their arrival.

"Anyin, there's no need to modify or erase their memories; just make them think that what happened before was a dream."

"That's all…"

The little girl muttered as she began to cast her spell.

The mental magic was invisible and without quality.

Aoki only felt a fluctuation of magic in the air, and then the students and teachers who were lying down frowned, as if they were having a nightmare.

When Anyin lifted the hypnosis, Aoki calmly chatted with Rias and Shitori Sona.

"Buchou, Kaichou, who is she? She seems very powerful."

"Anyin Mija, a third-year student skilled in spirit magic. She was promoted to midday mage a few days ago."

After Shitori Sona explained the little girl's identity, she added, "You should have some impression of her. She was also one of the suspects in that rumor storm."

"It turns out to be her. I just thought she sounded familiar."

Aoki wasn't particularly concerned about the biggest suspect at that moment.

There were two other individuals nearby, especially the yellow-haired monster.

He had never suspected An Yin Meixiang, having dismissed it as soon as he saw the information.

After Shitori Sona's reminder, Aoki recalled.

"I communicated with her during the investigation and found that she is very skilled in mental magic, especially hypnosis, spells, and other forms of mental control."

Rias wound her hair around her ears and said, "After dismissing your suspicions, I still maintained communication with her. This time, I simply asked for her help."

Aoki asked again, "What did Kaichou mean when she said earlier that she shouldn't pretend?"

"A magician who excels at manipulating people's emotions, do you think he could be so innocent and shy?" Shitori Sona replied.

"Uh…"

After being momentarily speechless, Aoki nodded and said, "It's really unlikely."

While several people were chatting, Anyin had nearly lifted everyone's hypnosis and simultaneously altered their memories, making them believe that everything that had happened before was a dream.

"Now there's only this girl left…"

She took a deep breath and said wearily, "Rias, I'm truly exhausted this time. Don't forget the reward you promised."

"Senior Anyin, don't worry; no one in the Gremory family will break their promise."

Anyin acknowledged this point.

The reputation of the Gremory family has always been exemplary.

She gathered her energy, walked towards the only victim girl, and focused on beginning to lift the hypnosis and modify the memory.

Himejima Akeno had magically cleaned and sterilized the victim girl inside and out.

The victim girl, now in uniform, showed a pained expression as the two mental energies clashed violently in her mind.

She was the one most affected, and it required immense effort to alter her memory.

Memory modification is also a skilled task; if the technique isn't refined enough, the subject may end up becoming an idiot.

Five minutes later, Anyin returned to Rias, rubbing her head.

"I can only do this. As long as I don't irritate her anymore, she won't think about it for the rest of her life."

"Thank you, Anyin

."

Rias's red hair flew up, revealing her true devil form.

"Then the next step is to locate that troublesome artifact. If this happens again, I won't be able to trouble Anyin once more."

Shitori Sona also revealed her devil form at that moment, standing beside Rias in midair. "I'll activate detection magic and leave the capture to you."

Shitori Sona wasn't just here to observe.

As Rias's good friend, Rias had specifically brought her along to help deal with the "culprit."

"Leave it to me. Even if this artifact is destroyed, I won't allow it to run amok any longer."

Rias's body was filled with magical power, and the escaping aura radiated a terrifying sense of destruction. Just feeling this aura was intimidating.

It is practically impossible to destroy the artifact without reaching the level of the Demon King.

But Rias is different. Her magical characteristic is destruction. It is quite possible for her to deal with an artifact that has lost its host.

Shitori Sona's strength is on par with Rias's. With her large-scale detection magic, there is nowhere to hide in those glasses.

"Rias, it's at the top of the third cherry blossom tree on the left side of the atrium..."

Rias spread her wings and flew away without hesitation, and the crimson magical power in her hand condensed into a solid form.

The artifact sensed the crisis and used transfer once more.

"It has moved to the middle drawer of the third row of desks in the science room." Shitori Sona promptly communicated with Rias.

"Receive."

Rias changed direction and flew toward the science room.

After this occurred three times, the culprit finally calmed down entirely.

Its instant transfer is not unlimited, and the energy amassed through the host has been completely depleted.

Rias picked up this distasteful artifact with her magical hand and, after reflecting for a moment, decided against using it on her face.

To understand the function of an artifact and the costs or limitations of its use, the best approach is to use it yourself.

But when she thought of the grotesque man who had carried it before, she resisted the urge from the depths of her being.

"Forget it; let's take it back and seal it."

Rias did not plan to explore this artifact any further, so she simply sealed it and placed it into the family's inventory.

The value of artifacts is not insignificant. They are regarded as strategic materials. There are many such artifacts in the Gremory family's warehouse.

They all possess different functions and have varying costs and limitations.

But whether it is to exchange it with other families or to use it as a temporary combat power amplifier, it is a good choice.

Just as Rias was about to place it into the storage space she had created, the glasses suddenly glowed red again and slipped from her hands.

Buzz--

The red light struck the light yellow barrier but failed to break it.

"Eh?"

Feeling the barrier tremble, Himejima Akeno hummed in surprise.
