Since Su Yanran could hear her Xuaner's heart voice then she should also be able to hear Ye Fan's too. So Lin Yan wondered what decision Su Yanran would take.
Would she fall for the protagonist's charm or would she try to mooch off their Chu family by still trying to maintain the engagement by fooling her stupid brother?

" Hmm~ Okay " Lin Yan gazed at him with a smile as he nodded in response and walked towards the president's office.
Lin Yan narrowed her eyes in thought, she wanted to know what choice Chu Xuan would make, would he still act like a licking dog or would he decide to take his fate into his own hands?
Whatever choice he made, Lin Yan would be with him, with her love for Chu Xuan she would never abandon him, she felt there was something more to her betraying the Chu family in her past life.
She had some guesses but could only confirm them if she could get some more information from Chu Xuan's heart voice.....

The woman at the front desk felt a bit strange as she gazed at the back of Young Master Chu.
He seemed much more handsome, it was not exactly about appearance but if she had to pinpoint something then it would be temperament, Chu Xuan has always been handsome but his handsome features were always overlooked by others because of his subservient behaviour towards Su Yanran.
All the employees in the company secretly looked down on Chu Xuan for his licking dog-like behaviour, naturally, they felt a sense of pleasure seeing someone like Chu Xuan who could be considered to be top class in society behaving like a follower.
But now seeing the indifferent face and nonchalant way of addressing Su Yanran made the receptionist confused as she couldn't help but think that there was something wrong with Chu Xuan.
She was not the only one as all the other employees also noticed this but they could only let the doubts stew in their minds as they couldn't possibly ask the Young Master of the Chu family why he stopped being a licking dog...

Su Yanran frowned when she was notified by the front desk that President Li of the Chu group was there.
She didn't know why that witch Lin Yan was here, was she here to show off or something?
Su Yanran remembered Chu Xuan's praise for Lin Yan and couldn't help but glance down at herself. It was her usual white dress, she looked good but if she thought of what that bastard said about that witch then she would probably be a bit bland.
She didn't want to lose to Lin Yan, women are very competitive and she Su Yanran is no exception.
She wanted that dog man to gaze at her like she was the only woman in this world while making him forget about that old woman Lin Yan.
She wanted to tell him that his fiance was better than his so-called sister.
With those thoughts in her mind, Su Yanran went into the bedroom in her office and decided to change into something much more 'vibrant'.
After a few moments of trying different things, Su Yanran quickly changed into something she liked.
She changed into a short skirt that hugged her curves along with a white shirt and black stockings and high heels. She decided to let her hair down with a small braid.
She twirled around in the mirror to get a good look at herself and Su Yanran was satisfied.
However, this was a bit different from her style as it accentuated her curves a bit more and she wasn't that comfortable as she hated men leering at her.
Due to her appearance even old men in her father's generation would also leer at her whenever she attended parties which made her feel uncomfortable.
Thus she would always try to dress in a way that wouldn't attract much attention to her curves, but desperate times call for desperate means.
She didn't want to lose to that witch and she definitely didn't want to see Chu Xuan being fascinated by Lin Yan, not when he had such a beautiful fiance.
She didn't know why but from yesterday her feelings about Chu Xuan have become much more complicated.
The dreams she had been having for the past few years have begun to regain a bit of clarity.....

So could you do me a favour and don't flame me :)
So the changes in Su Yanran's character are visible, which I am making to not make her seem like a gold digger and annoying bi*ch.
Su Yanran has been having dreams about past life if you are wondering, but she didn't have any clarity about these dreams until recently.
This is what I added to make her feelings much more profound, instead of her just trying to compete with Lin Yan for women pride.
Just cuz MC(Chu Xuan) knows the plot Su Yanran is going to lick him? What is the difference between this and a gold digger?
The problem isn't being a gold digger, but defining the heroine as a woman who is prideful and won't bend over for money but just cuz the MC knows the plot she decided to become his licking dog?
I didn't like it, I wanted her to chase him for a more profound reason. Why should she feel jealous of Lin Yan when she doesn't like him?
I made a reason for that, feelings from past life.
