Chapter 419: Chapter 420: The Son Who Made His Father Jealous

As a role model for American women, Hillary's book review added another layer of hype to Martin's novel. However, her public endorsement wasn't just about her love for the book.

"This former First Lady is a very ambitious woman. Her sudden, high-profile statement, putting herself in the public eye, is likely preparation for a future presidential campaign," Grant Meyers remarked, putting down the newspaper as he spoke to his son.

Martin was about to respond when the sound of the front door opening interrupted him.

Grant suddenly grinned. "Your mom's back. Are you ready, kid?"

"Ready for what?" Martin asked, confused.

"Ready for your mom's wrath! You've got a girlfriend eighteen years older than you. You think she's going to let that slide? Heh heh heh!" Grant chuckled, clearly amused at the thought of his son facing his mother's anger.

"Martin Meyers!" Linda's voice rang out.

Martin instinctively shrunk back. Whenever his mom used his full name, it meant she was furious.

"Oh, dear Mom, it's been so long! I've missed you so much!" Martin quickly jumped up from the couch and, to Grant's astonishment, rushed over to Linda, lifting her up in a playful "up and down" motion.

Up, down, up, down…

Before long, Linda was giggling uncontrollably, completely forgetting why she had been angry in the first place.

"That's it?" Grant sat there, stunned, watching the scene unfold. He absentmindedly stroked his chin, thinking, I think I just learned a new trick.

But he quickly realized that, given his slightly pudgy physique, pulling off such a move might be a challenge.

Not wanting to let his son off the hook so easily, Grant cleared his throat and, under Martin's threatening glare, said, "Martin, why don't you tell your mom about this Nicole situation?"

Linda immediately remembered why she was there and slapped Martin's shoulder. "You little rascal, put me down!"

Martin set her down and pretended to rub his shoulder, cautiously saying, "Mom, I've got work to do tonight. Maybe I should head back to my study?"

"What's the rush, Martin? Tell me, are you serious about this Nicole Kidman? Are you two dating?"

"Mom, this is Hollywood. People get together, break up, get together again… it's normal!"

"So, you are together!"

Linda was relentless in her questioning.

Martin sighed and nodded. "Yes, Mom, we're together."

"Good grief, what were you thinking? I know you've got Miranda Kerr, Scarlett Johansson, Dorothy Duster, Jessica Alba, and even little Lindsay around you. But why, of all people, did you pick a woman eighteen years older than you? Huh?"

"Uh, Mom, I think you might be misunderstanding something. I didn't pick anyone. All the girls you mentioned, and the ones you didn't, I'm with them too."

"What?!" Linda was completely caught off guard by this response.

"What the hell?!" Grant's eyes widened in disbelief. His son had actually achieved what he had only ever dreamed of—a harem!!!

"That's right, no need to be shocked. I'm with all of them. They're all my women. So, Mom, you don't need to worry!"

Linda was so stunned she covered her mouth with her hands.

Meanwhile, Grant couldn't help but ask, "Do they know about each other?"

"Yes, they know about each other," Martin replied, earning another wave of envy from his father.

"Damn it, don't they get jealous?" Grant muttered.

"Of course not. I make sure they're all satisfied, both emotionally and physically. And the money I earn ensures they all live comfortably. Besides, my girls all have their own careers. They're not the type to depend on a man."

Grant was speechless. He pointed at his son, who he now deeply envied, and stammered to his wife, "L-L-Linda, d-d-do you see this? Isn't he going too far? Aren't you going to scold him?"

Linda ignored her husband and instead asked, "Who are they?"

Martin listed them off one by one: "Besides the ones you mentioned, there's Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway, Ivanka Trump, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Princess Haya of Jordan…"

Except for Diana, Martin named everyone, including Princess Haya.

Grant's mouth hung open in a perfect "O" shape. His mind was flooded with images of stunning beauties. His son's luck with women was just… just… just too much.

"Honey, look at him! Aren't you going to yell at him?" Grant desperately wanted to see his son get a scolding from his wife to ease his own jealousy.

But instead, he was shocked to hear Linda exclaim in an admiring tone, "Oh my God, my son is amazing!!!"

For Linda, as long as her son wasn't committing to Nicole, the older woman, she didn't care how many women he had. After all, her son wasn't the one losing out.

Look at my son! He's so outstanding. The women he's with include actresses, models, singers, and even a Trump and a Hilton princess. Oh, and a real princess!

"Martin, this Princess Haya… she's really a princess?" Linda asked, still in disbelief.

"Yes, she's the daughter of the former King of Jordan, the sister of the current king. She's a genuine princess."

Linda was over the moon, pulling her son down to sit on the couch. "How did you two meet? Does Princess Haya know about your other women? She doesn't mind? Are you still in touch?"

"We met when I went to the UAE to bid on an oil field."

"Yes, she knows about the others, and she doesn't mind. In Arab countries, men can have up to four wives, after all."

"We've stayed in touch."

As Martin answered his mother's questions, Grant was busy on his laptop, pulling up photos of Princess Haya.

Holy crap! She's gorgeous, and she's royalty!

How did I end up with such an incredible son? I'm so jealous!

Is this kid the reincarnation of Cupid or something?
