Eternal Ascension: The Divine Paradox

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Council of Realms

With Drakthar now part of their group, Kael felt a renewed sense of hope. The dragon's immense power and ancient knowledge made him a formidable ally, but his cryptic warning lingered in Kael's mind. What price would they have to pay?

Their next destination was the **Celestial Nexus**, a floating city that served as a meeting place for the most powerful beings in the multiverse. Lyra explained that the Nexus was home to the **Council of Realms**, a group of leaders who governed the balance between dimensions.

"We need their help," Lyra said as they approached the city. "But gaining their trust won't be easy."

The Celestial Nexus was a breathtaking sight, its spires reaching into the heavens and its streets bustling with beings of all shapes and sizes. Kael felt out of place among the powerful figures, but he kept his head high, the artifact safely hidden beneath his robes.

The Council chamber was a grand hall, its walls adorned with tapestries depicting the history of the multiverse. The Council members, each representing a different realm, sat on elevated thrones, their eyes scrutinizing the newcomers.

"**State your purpose,**" boomed the voice of the Council's leader, a towering figure clad in golden armor.

Kael stepped forward, his voice steady despite his nerves. "I am Kael Ardent, wielder of the Divine Paradox. I seek your aid in preventing the collapse of the multiverse."

The Council members murmured among themselves, their expressions ranging from curiosity to suspicion. One of them, a hooded figure with glowing eyes, spoke up. "**The artifact you carry is a relic of the Eternal War. Its power is too dangerous to be wielded by a mortal.**"

Lyra stepped forward, her voice firm. "Kael is no ordinary mortal. He has proven himself capable of controlling the artifact, and he has the support of powerful allies."

Drakthar's deep voice echoed through the chamber. "**I, Drakthar, the Eternal Dragon, vouch for him. The multiverse faces a grave threat, and we must act now.**"

The Council leader leaned forward, his gaze piercing. "**Very well. We will grant you an audience, but know this—if you prove unworthy, the consequences will be dire.**"

### **Chapter Tease**:

The Council's skepticism is a hurdle Kael must overcome, but their knowledge could be the key to mastering the artifact. As tensions rise within the chamber, the cracks in the multiverse grow wider, threatening to consume even the Celestial Nexus.
