Instead of directly answering Neo, Nyxtharion asked another question.
"What do you think happens when a God keeps ranking up?"
"...?" Neo frowned. After thinking a bit he said, "They grow stronger."
"Yes, that happens too, but that is a byproduct.
"When Gods keep ranking up the main changes in them is the increase of 'existence level', and the quality of energy type they wield.
"'Existence level' is what everyone calls Stage 1, Stage 2, and more.
"'Energy type' is generally the 108 basic elements. At one point, each God has to choose between two different paths.
"They either follow the teaching of their element, and keep ranking up to become an Elemental Supreme.
"Or, they change their energy type. They would fuse new understanding into their element, and create a new element over time.
"This is how Shadow Element was born from Darkness Element, how Blood Element was born from Water Element, and how several more Elements were born.
"Choosing which type of God you want to be is what allows you to breakthrough from Stage 3 to Stage 4. If you don't choose a side, you will remain stuck at Stage 3."
Neo nodded.
He always felt like some elements were similar.
Darkness devoured, allowing a person to gain others' abilities.
Shadow copied others' abilities.
The process was different, but the result was similar.
It finally made sense why that was so. Because Shadow Element was born from Darkness Element.
"Of course, the Gods who try create their own energy suffer a lot. It's an arduous path. Creating a new fundamental energy type is anything but easy.
"And this is where Void comes in.
"Void forces uncontrolled evolution. If you can use Void, you can force your energy to evolve and become a new energy type despite being only Stage 1 Void God. Normal Gods can do this only at Stage 4 and higher.
"This should make it clear how powerful Void Gods are," explained Nyxtharion #2.
"So Void Gods have their own energy types," Neo mumbled to himself.
"Yes, they do, but most Void Gods have unrefined energy type.
"Usually, by the time Void Gods turn their unrefined energy type into refined energy type, the Corruption festering on their soul and body would have become too much.
"They would lose sanity, turn into mindless monsters, or simply die out.
"Of course, some Void Gods can manage to use Void element to create an unrefined energy type, and then turn it into refined energy type.
"For normal Gods, turning unrefined energy type into refined energy type is what allows them to breakthrough from Stage 6 to Stage 7."
Nyxtharion stared at Neo.
The dragon could see that Neo was unable to understand the importance of difference between unrefined energy type, and refined energy type.
He opened his mouth to explain,
"When a normal God creates a refined energy type, they reach Stage 7.
"At this Stage, they gain the title of 'Elemental Supreme'.
"The Shadow Supreme you met in Shadow Trail was the same. Judging by your memories, he seems to have reached the peak of Stage 7, or maybe Stage 8 now.
"But long ago, he also created his own refined energy type 'Shadow Element to breakthrough to Stage 7, and on that day shadows came into existence."
Neo blinked.
It took him a moment to realize what Nyxtharion had said.
"You... how do you know so much about Shadow Supreme?"
"He is the Great I's grandfather. Well, was."
The word 'was' was full of emotions and a sigh.
Neo did not question Nyxtharion what had happened between him and Shadow Supreme. It seemed like a painful topic for the dragon.
While Neo remained silent, buried in his thoughts as he made sense of the implication of the words of the dragon, Nyxtharion opened his mouth.
"Now, before we continue, the Great I want to question you something. Are you a Heavenbreaker?"
"Yes."
"It is as the Great I thought," Nyxtharion #2 nodded with a complex gaze. "Seeing you fight without any concern of energy was suspicious, but to think you would be the mythical Heavenbreaker.
"Kane Williams must've used the luck of all reincarnations to have a student like you."
"Are Heavenbreakers really that special?" Neo questioned. "Sure I don't have to worry about energy generation, or worry that someone would attack my planet, but that's all, no?"
Nyxtharion stared at Neo dumbfoundedly.
When the dragon realized Neo was serious, he started to laugh.
His laughter made the land and air tremble.
"The Great I was wondering why you weren't using your powers as a Heavenbreaker, but it turns out you don't understand how to use them.
"This is perfect. Using Void will teach you how to use your Heavenbreaker abilities as well.
"But, before that, I should explain why Heavenbreakers are unique."
The dragon lowered its neck and brought its head to Neo's level.
"When Void Gods create an energy type, they do so by fusing it into the foundation of their [World].
"[World] is the unique ability of Gods. It is an upgraded form of [Sanctuary].
"But the [World] of Gods, even Void Gods, is not as refined as the actual worlds - planets with consciousness.
"Their [World] becomes stronger as they rank up, eventually becoming no distinguishable from a real world.
"But you? You start with that.
"Your foundation itself begins with creating a true world within yourself. In fact, the Great I would say, the [World] of a Heavenbreaker is more powerful than planets with consciousness.
"A Heavenbreaker's World has the potential to be a new Cosmos itself. Comparing such powerful inner World to a normal planet is insulting to a Heavenbreaker," the dragon explained.
A frown appeared on Neo's face.
While the news was all good, he couldn't deploy his world.
Creating a new energy type with Void was the ability of Void Gods, not Void users. In other words, having a World was necessary for the process.
"I... can't."
"What?"
"I can't use my World."
The dragon stared at Neo.
Neo stared back at him.
