Fairy Tail: O King of the Fairies

Chapter 2: Chapter 02

The deeper I ventured into the forest, the air grew heavier, almost suffocating, with a sharp metallic tang that tickled the back of my throat. A summoned map from the Celestial Inventory displayed a glowing marker just beyond the forest's edge, indicating the location of a settlement. It was my one beacon of hope amidst the oppressive wilderness. But as I adjusted my path, a low, guttural growl stopped me in my tracks.

It was the kind of sound I had heard in countless stories—the sound of a predator preparing to strike.

Slowly, I turned toward the source, gripping a simple knife I had kept at the ready. Emerging from the shadows were towering, monstrous figures. Their bodies were massive and covered in thick, matted fur, resembling gorillas yet possessing unnatural, almost humanoid features. Their faces were grotesque—elongated chins, prolonged ears, and pointed heads that gave the illusion of a horn protruding from their skulls. Their gargantuan arms hung low, hands massive enough to crush bones effortlessly. In contrast, their lower bodies were smaller, though still powerful, ending in thick, muscular legs with long tails that twitched with agitation.

A chill shot down my spine as recognition dawned.

"Vulcans..." The name slipped from my lips.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Vulcans—monsters that only existed in the world of Fairy Tail. Yet here they were, standing before me, ready to tear me apart. My heart pounded in my chest, but I forced myself to remain calm.

No... I can't panic. I have the advantage.

I wasn't the same powerless human from my old world.

I had the Celestial Inventory.

And more importantly... I had Absolute Mastery.

It was a unique ability that came with this power—allowing me to wield any item within the Inventory with perfect skill and precision. No matter the weapon, no matter how ancient or legendary, I could wield it as if I had trained with it for a thousand years.

The first Vulcan roared and charged at me, raising a massive spiked club.

Let's test this out.

I reached into the Inventory and summoned a steel longsword. It materialized in my hand in an instant, perfectly balanced, as if forged specifically for me. Without hesitation, I sidestepped the Vulcan's brutal swing and slashed at its exposed side. The blade cut through its thick fur and flesh with ease, black, steaming blood spilling onto the ground.

But I wasn't done.

Another Vulcan lunged from the right, claws aiming for my head. I dismissed the sword and instantly summoned a chain whip. With a flick of my wrist, the chain wrapped around the beast's arm, and with a sharp pull, I sent it crashing to the ground.

Two more emerged from the shadows, their glowing crimson eyes filled with bloodlust.

My mind raced through the infinite arsenal within the Inventory, and I summoned a pair of twin daggers, effortlessly weaving between the Vulcans' attacks, slashing through their limbs with inhuman speed and precision.

It felt... natural.

As if these weapons were simply extensions of my body.

I moved without hesitation, without doubt—my mastery over every weapon was absolute.

But I needed to end this quickly.

I dismissed the daggers and reached for something far greater. Something that only a true master could wield.

In a flash of golden light, Excalibur, the legendary Sword of Kings, materialized in my hand. Its blade radiated holy energy, and ancient runes glowed along its edge. The sheer power flowing through it was enough to make my heart race, but my body handled it perfectly—because that was part of my gift.

You might say its a bit of an overkill, but hey this is the perfect time to try my new power.

The Vulcans hesitated, sensing the overwhelming power in my grasp.

I stepped forward and swung the sword in a single, fluid motion.

"EXCALIBUR!"

A blinding arc of golden energy erupted from the blade, cleaving through two Vulcans in an instant. Their bodies fell lifeless to the ground, steaming as their blood soaked the earth.

The last Vulcan roared in desperation and charged.

With perfect timing, I sidestepped its attack and drove Excalibur straight through its chest. The creature let out one final, guttural cry before collapsing.

Silence fell over the forest.

Panting, I dismissed Excalibur back into the Inventory, my hands trembling slightly from the sheer power I had just wielded.

I looked at the bodies of the fallen Vulcans, steam rising from their wounds.

"I can wield any weapon... perfectly," I murmured to myself, the reality of my power sinking in. "It doesn't matter if it's a simple dagger... or a god-slaying sword. I can use them all... with absolute mastery."

I clenched my fists, feeling an overwhelming sense of both fear and excitement.

This power... it was beyond broken.

And if the Vulcans existed here... what else from the world of Fairy Tail was out there?

As I wiped the sweat from my brow, a chilling realization settled over me.

"I'm not just in another world..." I whispered.

"I'm in Fairy Tail."

Then that means...

Acnologia, the Dragon King.

Zeref, the Immortal Dark Mage.

The Demon Guild, Tartaros.

The legendary Dragon Gods.

They're all real.

My body stiffened as the reality sank in. This world wasn't just filled with monsters and bandits. It was home to beings that could shatter entire nations with a single breath. Monsters who could bend reality itself.

And I had the power to surpass them all.

I smiled, I wasn't too worried especially now that I have this broken ability. Still, I couldn't afford to be arrogant as Fairy Tail was a world where the power of friendships reigns.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped over the corpses of the Vulcans and continued toward the distant glow of civilization.

---

I had been walking for what felt like hours, and my destination was still nowhere in sight. At this pace, I knew I'd have to spend the night in the forest.

Thankfully, supplies weren't something I had to worry about—especially with my cheat ability.

After finding a suitable clearing, I decided to set up camp. Accessing the *Celestial Inventory*, I browsed through the extensive catalog to summon a tent. I opted for a simple design, complete with basic enchantments for insect and monster repellent. However, one thing quickly became apparent: the overwhelming number of choices. The catalog was so vast that even items with nearly identical properties often differed in minor, frustratingly nuanced details. Deciding on something took more effort than I expected.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I summoned food and drink from the catalog to prepare for the evening. A warm glow illuminated the forest around me as I settled in.

*Hurrah!* I thought to myself, biting into a meal that tasted like home.

It dawned on me how rare my situation truly was. Even in this strange new world, I still had access to modern conveniences—things others here could only dream of. I couldn't help but feel a sense of privilege, knowing that, cheat or not, I was uniquely equipped to face whatever challenges this world had to offer.

I turned my attention back to the catalog, scrolling through the seemingly endless entries of powerful items and treasures.

There it was!

Super Soldier Serum. T-Virus. Dragon's Blood.

A thrill shot through me as I skimmed over the possibilities. Yet, as I reflected on my recent fight with the Vulcans, one glaring truth became impossible to ignore—my physique.

Sure, there were armors and items in the catalog enchanted to grant invulnerability. But that didn't change the fact that, beneath all of it, I was still terribly weak.

And that wouldn't do.

I realized I needed to improve myself, not just rely on external defenses. If I wanted to stand a chance in this world, I had to close the gap between my opponents and me. Scrolling through the catalog, I found myself overwhelmed by choices. Dozens of entries promised extraordinary physical transformations.

Fountain of Youth.

My eyes lingered on the entry, the description catching my attention immediately: A sacred treasure of the Fairy Clan, granting eternal life to anyone who drinks from its waters. My breath hitched as I read further. This is the very fountain drunk by Ban, granting him immortality and the legendary regenerative abilities that earned him the name "Undead Ban."

"This is it," I murmured, a grin spreading across my face as I remembered just how ridiculously overpowered Ban's regeneration had been. With the Fountain of Youth, even if I were caught off guard in a surprise attack, I could survive anything. My body would heal—better, faster, and stronger.

Excitement coursed through me, but I kept my emotions tempered. One thing I had learned about my Celestial Inventory was that, as broken as it seemed, it still had its limits. Unlike the infamous Gate of Babylon from the Fate Series, I couldn't summon countless items in a flurry to overwhelm my enemies. Each item I summoned required deliberate thought and careful timing. Any mistake could leave me vulnerable to an ambush.

I don't want to die prematurely just because I was unprepared. For god's sake I have one of the most broken or perhaps most broken ability in fiction. I'll be an idiot if I don't utilize my gift properly.
