Fairy Tail:Celestial Tempest

Chapter 3: Chapter 2: The Prodigy's Edge

"Dramatic entrance, huh?" Lucy chirped, mimicking Rimuru's flourish, though her small arms made it look more adorable than intimidating. "Like this, Sensei?"

"Not bad, kid," Rimuru chuckled, "but you gotta add some oomph! A little more… bam!" He swung his sword, creating a gust of wind that rustled the leaves. "See? It's all about the showmanship!"

Seriously, this kid learns fast, Rimuru thought, watching her practice. I've been teaching her swordsmanship, combat, and even some basic martial arts for just a month! A month! And she's already moving like a seasoned warrior!

"Now, let's try a basic strike," Rimuru instructed, demonstrating a clean, powerful swing. "Focus your energy, feel the flow of the blade."

Lucy nodded, her eyes focused. She raised her sword, and with a sharp cry, she swung. The wooden blade sliced through the air with an almost unnatural speed, leaving a faint whistling sound.

Rimuru's jaw dropped. What the—?! he thought, his eyes wide. That's… that's way faster than it should be! And the force behind it! She's practically shattering the laws of physics!

"Sensei?" Lucy asked, tilting her head. "Did I do something wrong?"

"Wrong?" Rimuru sputtered, shaking his head. "No, no, you did… perfectly! Too perfectly, actually! How are you doing this?!"

"I'm just doing what you told me, Sensei," Lucy said, her eyes innocent.

She's a natural prodigy! Rimuru thought, his mind racing. If she keeps this up, she'll be a monster! A cute, powerful monster! He remembered his own training, the countless hours he spent honing his skills. This kid is surpassing my initial training speeds by a large margin!

"Alright, let's try some sparring," Rimuru said, summoning another wooden sword. "Let's see how you handle a real opponent."

Lucy's eyes lit up. "Yes, Sensei!"

They faced each other, swords raised. Rimuru decided to test her, starting with a series of quick, light strikes. Lucy parried each blow with surprising ease, her movements fluid and precise.

She's reading my movements! Rimuru thought, his eyebrows shooting up. How?! She's anticipating my attacks before I even make them!

He increased his speed, unleashing a flurry of strikes, but Lucy matched him blow for blow, her defense impenetrable. She even managed to land a few counterattacks, forcing Rimuru to backpedal.

"Whoa, hold on a sec!" Rimuru exclaimed, jumping back, a bead of sweat trickling down his forehead. "You're… you're insane!"

Lucy blinked, her eyes wide. "Insane? Did I do something wrong, Sensei?"

"No, no, you're doing… too well!" Rimuru said, shaking his head. "You're learning too fast! It's like you're absorbing everything I teach you instantly!"

He paced back and forth, his mind buzzing. This is beyond anything I've ever seen! She's got the talent, the drive, and the sheer power! If I keep training her at this rate, she'll be unstoppable!

He stopped pacing, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. And if I add some magic training into the mix… oh boy, this is gonna be fun!

"Alright, Lucy," he said, clapping his hands together. "Let's take a break. You've earned it."

"Thank you, Sensei!" Lucy said, her face beaming.

Rimuru watched her, a mix of awe and excitement swirling inside him. This kid… she's gonna change everything. And I'm gonna be right there to see it! He thought. And maybe, just maybe, I can finally fix the timeline, and give Lucy the happy ending she deserves!
