Chapter 338: [338] Regarding the Teleport Anchor Being Placed Beside the Boss
With everything that needed to be done already completed, Sakatsuki reported back to the part-time priest selling ramen, then opened a space-time tunnel and returned once more to the world of Prisma Illya.
Looking back on that single day spent at Ainsworth, Sakatsuki actually gained quite a lot.
[Fate Compendium Entry 001/020 – All recording conditions fulfilled]
[Reward obtained: Slight increase to "Agility" parameter. Full projection authority granted for one Noble Phantasm from Gate of Babylon!]
[Drawing... Success!]
[Obtained Noble Phantasm: Hades' Cloak!]
[Hades' Cloak]
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
A prototype of all cloaks of invisibility found in myths across time and cultures. When worn or draped over something, the cloaked object cannot be detected by magical or optical means. Extremely effective against targets who rely solely on magical means for detection or tracking. However, the wearer can still be exposed through sound, smell, body heat, or movement, so effectiveness may vary depending on the situation.
This fabric is woven in an unimaginably complex manner, speculated to involve at least five-dimensional weaving. It is absolutely impossible for humans to fully reproduce it.

As he strolled along the bustling streets, Sakatsuki casually bought some food while mentally sorting through all the intel he had gathered.
Overall, aside from the "Voyeur God" Hades' invisibility cloak drawn from Gate of Babylon, the rewards from Angelica and Beatrice merely enhanced Sakatsuki's hidden stats — which was to be expected. After all, they weren't the real Gilgamesh or Magni/Thor, so of course their rewards would be somewhat degraded.
More surprising, however, was the unexpected outcome from his dip into Pandora's Box.
[Beast Metamorphosis: EX]
It seemed to be a trait intrinsic to Pandora's Box that allowed Sakatsuki to retain his intelligence after transforming into a Beast — as if the 'hope' buried deep within endless calamity had anchored his soul.
Keep in mind — this was a Beast. A Beast, a Human Incineration System, a Counter Force safety mechanism! To control such power — even if only for a three-minute transformation like an Ultraman knockoff — was still enough to bring about utter annihilation.
Although the skill disappeared on its own once he lost the buffer provided by Pandora's Box, Sakatsuki wasn't in a rush. As long as he could find a way to save that world, he could safely allow the Fate Compendium to absorb Pandora's Box and permanently secure this broken-level ability for himself.
But until then, he'd have to suppress his greed and focus on finding the Holy Grail to save the world.
After all, he was still a good student who had received nine years of compulsory education. Proactively initiating world destruction was a line he just couldn't cross. Not to mention, if the world did get destroyed because he absorbed Pandora's Box, who knows what kind of curse the Counter Force would slap on him… He definitely didn't want to end up like "Brother Xiao Ming," branded as the Destroyer of Worlds wherever he went, getting gang-beaten by the seven Grand Servants.
With these thoughts in mind, Sakatsuki arrived at the church. Just as he was about to push the door open, it suddenly swung outward. If he hadn't dodged in time, his face would've taken the full brunt.
"Remember! The moment Sakatsuki gets back, notify us immediately! Damn it, how could something like this happen…!" Rin stormed out of the church, visibly flustered, only to find Father Sakatsuki staring at her, deadpan.
"…Something wrong, Rin?"
"Ah, you're not missing! Thank goodness." Rin let out a breath of relief and patted her flat chest. But her expression quickly turned anxious again. "Something big has happened! Illya, Miyu, and Kuro… they're all missing!"
"Hm?" Sakatsuki frowned, mentally flipping through the known plotlines of Prisma Illya, but found no element that pointed to a mass disappearance.
So what exactly was going on?
"Time, place, who else was there besides them…" Interest piqued, Sakatsuki didn't even bother returning to the church. He simply gave Danzou a reassuring hand gesture, then quickly followed Rin in the direction of the "scene of the incident."
"Also, if there was combat — what exactly were you all doing?"
"Uh, well…" Rin scratched her cheek a little awkwardly before admitting honestly:
"I was surveying the ley lines at the time. Before Illya and the others even arrived, Luvia had already been defeated… Well, she was the former supervisor for recovering Class Cards on her own."
"Former supervisor?" Sakatsuki paused mid-step. "Bazett Fraga McRemitz?"
"Yeah, that's the one! You know her too, huh." Rin nodded. "She was badly wounded and has already been sent to the Association's branch for treatment. As for the battlefield — the Edelfelt estate — it's been completely flattened. And Illya and the others, who should've been there, are just… gone."
As they spoke, the two quickly used magecraft to traverse half of Fuyuki and arrived at Luvia's mansion — or what remained of it.
"So even Father Sakatsuki came." Luvia greeted them with a nod, her expression deeply troubled. Sakatsuki, however, didn't bother responding. He walked straight past her, closed his eyes, and sensed the residual magical energy in the air. Then he knelt down, placing his palm against the ground to trace the leyline's flow.
Moments later, a strange look crept onto his face.
"I think… I know what happened."
"What?"
"Already?!"
Rin and Luvia gasped in unison, their faces showing nearly identical expressions of worry and hope as they stepped closer.
Seeing the anticipation and tension on their faces, Sakatsuki subtly took a step back before explaining:
"It was a miscalculation caused by interference — a jump error. The original path toward the Mirror World was diverted... Fortunately, I caught it early. If their magical traces had fully dissipated, reproducing their trajectory would've been almost impossible."
"But even if we find the path," Luvia frowned, "without the magic staff Master left us, we can't transfer over ourselves."
"Maybe you can't." Sakatsuki snapped his fingers. As both women turned toward him in confusion, he pointed to himself.
"But I can."
He didn't particularly want to get involved — laziness tugged at him — but his curiosity about where Illya and the others had ended up got the better of him.
As for their safety? That wasn't a concern. After all, even Draco's magical signature was mixed in with the anomaly. Most likely, she got teleported alongside them.
Waving off Rin and Luvia, who were chattering and insisting on tagging along, Sakatsuki activated Imaginary Number Magecraft, following the magical thread left by the teleportation and vanished as well.
Thanks to the sea of grimoires in the Clock Tower, Sakatsuki was no longer the magecraft novice he had been during the Fourth Holy Grail War — nor just a tool-using Magus. Now, he had enough theoretical foundation to make use of the Three Great Magecrafts to accomplish virtually anything.
Even in the case of an unexpected mishap during a Mirror World jump, he could analyze the "failure" and reverse-engineer the event from its remnants.
As the kaleidoscopic space-time tunnel around him unraveled, Sakatsuki suddenly found himself standing in the middle of a dense jungle.
Glug, glug, glug…
An indescribably foul stench hit him full force.
Reflexively, Sakatsuki launched himself into the air, landing atop a tree. He quickly pulled out Hades' Cloak, wrapping it around himself before finally glancing down at his shoes.
Then came the shock — at some point, the toxic swamp below had corroded his soles completely.
Looking forward, he saw a monstrous beast rolling in the poisonous mire. Its rough, bristled hide dripped venom; its yellowed tusks gleamed menacingly. Its enormous body was bloated like a hill, emanating an overwhelming sense of threat from mere presence.
There was no mistaking it—
"A wild boar?!"
