Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 386: Cook with Nita

Lein then turned to Madam Fatmawati and her group, who stood slightly behind. "Thank you, especially to Madam Fatmawati. I hope you can assist Laras and Bagus in organizing the seed shop report structure that needs to be collected," Lein said with a voice full of trust.

"No problem, Sir. I will arrange a schedule to meet both of them soon," Madam Fatmawati replied with a friendly smile, nodding slightly as a sign of respect.

Lein nodded in satisfaction. "Alright, everything is settled. See you tomorrow." Calmly, he opened a portal and stepped into it, his body disappearing into the vortex of light.

Bagus and Laras exchanged glances for a moment, then opened their own portals. Before leaving, they bid farewell to Madam Fatmawati and her group.

"Goodbye, Miss Laras, Mister Bagus," said Madam Fatmawati with a faint smile, followed by her team members, who respectfully bowed.

As soon as Laras and Bagus disappeared behind the portal, Madam Fatmawati turned to face her subordinates. Her gaze was sharp yet authoritative, silencing everyone as they awaited her command. "You've all seen Mr. Lein's power, haven't you?" she asked in a firm and serious tone.

Her subordinates nodded in unison, their faces showing respect and a hint of awe.

"Never forget, under any circumstances, never betray our race, humanity. Remember that well," she continued, this time with a deeper tone, as if emphasizing a life principle that must not be violated.

"Yes, Madam!" they replied in unison without hesitation.

After their long journey in the Guandu realm, they became even more aware of Lein's position as the Guardian of the Divine Sky Realm. His figure not only commanded respect but also inspired great responsibility.

Not long after, a service car arrived to pick up Madam Fatmawati and her team. The black car, with its elegant design and advanced technology, hovered half a meter above the ground, exuding an impressive aura of modernity.

They immediately entered the car, and in respectful silence, the vehicle left the teleportation field.

Lein's Residence - Main Land

A simple yet elegant house stood in the heart of the mainland. Warm lights glowing from every corner created a serene atmosphere, like a small forest radiating light in the night.

Lein and Nita deliberately built the house modestly as they lived alone. As a younger sibling who had started to take on her duties, Nita now helped maintain the house, reducing their reliance on servants.

The terrace was spacious, made of sturdy dark wood. In front of it was a large yard, spacious enough to accommodate several cars. Fresh green grass, neatly grown, added a natural and comfortable touch.

Suddenly, a glowing portal appeared in the middle of the yard. Its light spun slowly, emitting a magical aura. From within, Lein emerged with a relaxed stride. His face showed slight fatigue, but his expression remained calm.

"Ugh… quite tiring," Lein said lightly, more to himself. That day, his morning plan to cycle to a nearby mall had to be postponed due to the arrival of Aleron and the others.

"At least the portal to the Guandu realm is finally complete," he thought, feeling relieved at the progress.

However, one question still lingered in his mind. "But where can I get a Core Portal Talisman?" he murmured while walking toward the door. He knew the talisman was the key component for opening interdimensional portals. From Aleron's explanation, only Guardians possessed it, meaning he would need to explore and meet other Guardians from nearby realms.

"The issues in the Divine Sky Realm must be resolved soon," Lein muttered softly, not wanting to dwell too much on the thought. He reached into his pocket, ready to knock on the door.

Before his hand could touch the door, the sound of footsteps came from inside the house. The steps grew closer, slow but steady, making Lein pause and wait.

"Just a moment, I'm coming!" Nita's voice came from inside. Moments later, the door opened. Nita appeared, her face slightly sweaty. A green apron was tied around her waist, and she still held a spatula in her right hand.

"How was the trip? Smooth?" she asked with a friendly smile, stepping aside to let Lein enter.

"Everything went well," Lein replied as he walked in. As soon as he entered, the aroma of delicious food filled his nose, awakening a hunger he hadn't noticed before.

"Wow... what are you cooking today?" Lein asked curiously, his eyes scanning the room, looking for the source of the enticing smell.

"Just regular fried rice," Nita replied in a soft voice. She hid her hands behind her back, looking a bit shy.

"It smells amazing. Let me see," Lein said lightly, a small smile on his face. He walked toward the kitchen, with Nita following behind him hesitantly. Her expression showed a hint of nervousness, as if hiding something.

When they reached the kitchen, Lein immediately noticed its slightly messy state. The table was filled with vegetables, some still in the process of being chopped, while spices were scattered in the corners. A wok on the stove contained fried rice that was only half-cooked.

"Hahaha... you're working hard tonight," Lein said with a small laugh. He could see Nita's effort to cook on her own, and it made him feel proud.

"Yes, I'm learning from Sister Laras. She's taught me a lot about cooking," Nita said as she walked back to the stove. Her hands skillfully stirred the fried rice in the wok, though her expression still showed a bit of nervousness.

"Laras is indeed very skilled," Lein admitted. He recalled a moment when they had a meal together at Laras' home. Her cooking was truly perfect, like everything else about her, Lein thought.

They then chatted casually as usual, with no awkwardness between them. Lein, who usually appeared authoritative, transformed into a more relaxed and friendly figure when he was with Nita.

Lein walked to the kitchen counter, picked up a knife, and began chopping vegetables to help finish Nita's cooking. The vegetables, which had been unevenly cut, were now sliced one by one with precision, showing his experience.

Nita occasionally glanced at Lein, as if making sure of what her brother was doing. However, seeing Lein help without complaining, a small smile finally graced her face. In that simple kitchen, the two worked together, creating a warm atmosphere that erased the fatigue of their day.
