Florida Man in Magus World: Unleashing Liberty and Freedom

Chapter 215: Florida Man Forgets His Identity and Home Address, Claims He Was Abducted by SCP Entities

After stocking his inventory with essential tools, Felix turned to the system store to browse for upgrades and new gadgets.

Thanks to his Super Democracy Pass reaching A-rank, a plethora of advanced wares were now accessible. His existing arsenal already included impressive weapons like the HG Black Rock, SG Fluff-Off Prototype, and AR PULL-UP MF X1, but he was on the hunt for equipment better suited for espionage and infiltration missions.

It didn't take him long to discover some enticing options.

.

- Invisible Cloak

Price: 1 Million YOL

Ever seen Parry Hotter? Yeah, it works like that. What do you expect? This cloak renders the wearer invisible and blocks all energy-based sensors and scanners. Even immortals and gods won't detect your presence.

- Save Point Talisman

Price: 1 Billion YOL

Erects a save point at your home base, allowing you to reconstruct your physical body and teleport all your items to the save point upon death. Single-use only. Cannot be duplicated by philosopher stones.

- Time-Stop Watch (100 Charges)

Price: 1 Billion YOL

A gadget for the mischievous, though it has serious applications. The watch can stop time for 10 seconds per charge. Cannot be duplicated by philosopher stones.

- God-Slaying Katana "Killer Queen" (Replication Version)

Price: 1 Billion YOL

A black katana modeled after Demon God Mao's personal weapon. Though this version lacks the sentient spirit of the original, it retains the powerful ability to dispel cultivator domain abilities. The ability can only be used once.

.

Felix had a bit over 4 billion years of lifespan to splurge, and he wasn't about to hold back. He purchased one Invisible Cloak, one God-Slaying Katana, two Save Point Talismans, and one Time-Stop Watch.

Unfortunately, Felix couldn't cheat the system by duplicating the talisman and the time-stop watch with philosopher stones. However, the Invisible Cloak and the Katana did not have such a restriction. Without hesitation, he used a philosopher stone to duplicate them, creating a thousand of each as backups.

The items materialized directly into Felix's inventory, and he ejected the cloaks into the middle of the living room. Instantly, the space was flooded with transparent fabrics.

Diana watched Felix with curiosity. She picked up one of the cloaks and draped it over her shoulders, testing it out. When she looked in the mirror, she noticed that part of her body was now invisible.

"Nice."

Jiji also tried one on, but the cloak was too short for her serpentine tail. She pouted in frustration. "I wish there was a LAMIA size."

Felix glanced over at his wives, smirking. "This is exactly why I duplicated them. Why don't you two try sewing them together and make your own invisible dresses?"

Diana, who was always quick to take the lazy route, shook her head. "I'd rather just transform into a human and use it normally."

Jiji agreed. "I concur. Tailoring sounds like too much effort."

Felix broke a sweat, pondering if his wives had grown lazy because of him or if they were always this way, to begin with.

Shifting the mood, Felix stepped outside the house to test his new weapon, the God-Slaying Katana. He retrieved one from his inventory and unsheathed it.

The blade was utterly black, darker than any material Felix had ever seen. It seemed to devour sunlight, giving it an otherworldly aura. Despite its intimidating appearance, Felix had trouble with it.

Felix waved the katana around like an awkward nerd pretending to be a sword master. With no experience with swordsmanship, no godly sword would benefit him.

After a minute of aimless flailing, Felix realized that sword combat wasn't his style. As a proud Floridian, he preferred gunfights, explosions, and overwhelming firepower.

Shrugging, he stored the katana back in his public warehouse, relegating it to expendable status or staple weaponry for his people. He kept only ten in his personal inventory for emergency usage.

With that task done, Felix returned to the living room and brought out the Save Point Talismans. He handed one to Diana and activated the other, targeting an area in the living room.

DING

A basketball-sized blue sphere materialized, floating above the coffee table. Jessica's voice chimed in, confirming the action.

<Your save point has been registered. If you die, you will respawn here. However, if possible, don't die.>

<Please note: The save point will expire in 90 days if unused. The talisman cannot be refunded.>

Felix considered the message briefly before turning to Diana. "Activate yours. It's better to have insurance than having nothing."

Diana agreed and activated her talisman. Another blue sphere appeared, floating close to Felix's save point. With this, their preparations were nearly complete.

Felix glanced at Jiji, who watched them quietly. He felt a little guilty as he barely spent time with her. Stepping closer, he gave Jiji a passionate kiss and wrapped her in a warm embrace.

"I'll be back soon. When I'm back, I'll spend more time with you."

Jiji didn't fully understand what Felix had endured. She chuckled. "Just come back safely."

Felix smiled and kissed her cheek once more. Then, with a determined expression, he turned and stepped outside the house. Diana followed close behind.

With a synchronized leap, the two flew off the island, heading to the Demon God's lair.

.

Demon God's Flying Island

While Felix, Diana, and the other chosen ones prepared for their quest, the Demon God Mao Miaomiao received his own set of instructions. His system AI, "Killer Queen," delivered the update in her usual sardonic tone.

<Miaomiao, as usual, Leo insists you give those trash a handicap. You're barred from joining any public events for a while, but he didn't say anything about personal quests. There are 41 fools left. Want me to generate a protagonist-hunting quest as usual?>

DING

In the master chamber of the demon castle, two alluring demonic women lounged on a king-sized bed, tending to a small, cranky baby. Mao Miaomiao in his humanoid infant form opened his eyes and glanced at the messages.

"I'll read the stupid quest later. Let me sleep. This body needs way too much rest."

Killer Queen wasn't having it.

<You sure? There's a rumor someone is hoarding Wu Buyi's philosopher stones. Gao Yan and Yao Qiqi's stores are also empty. Even Leo's general store is completely out of stock.>

Mao Miaomiao shrugged, unfazed. "Not surprising. This world isn't the only playground for those gold lizards and fire chicken brats. Of course, their parents and ancestors are hoarding resources to help them go through the usual ascension ritual."

<That may be true, but someone just bought a replica of me from Leo's store.>

Mao's eyes snapped open. He bolted upright, and his dark Qi rippled through the air, terrifying the two demon girls next to him.

"Who bought it?"

<Some phoenix brat named… Felix Ariel.>

A deep silence followed as Mao Miaomiao processed the information. His demonic pupils gleamed as he felt like he had heard the name before.

"Felix Ariel…"

He slapped his chubby baby cheeks, forcing himself awake. Pulling up his system menu, he activated his unique ability, generating a list of available protagonist-hunting quests. A crimson-hued interface appeared, detailing Felix's actions and accomplishments in this realm.

"Killer Queen, be ready to materialize into your true form. The moment Felix steps onto my island, he dies. No exceptions."

The demon god stretched his senses, scanning his domain with his Qi perception. As he searched for two particular individuals, he issued another command.

"Relay my orders to the soldiers. Locate the demoness named Jane and Valley. Bring them here, alive. If they resist, kill them."
