Chapter 349: Chapter 349 The Second Half Begins! Angry Simeone!
Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was furious.
He was deeply dissatisfied with his players' performance, particularly their defense.
In Simeone's eyes, his team's defense was weak, especially when it came to dealing with Su Luo.
They hadn't posed any real threat to him at all.
During the break, Simeone reworked his tactics.
He instructed his players to focus on marking Su Luo throughout the second half.
From Simeone's perspective, if Atletico Madrid could stop Su Luo, they would have a real chance to defeat Chelsea.
Time passed quickly, and before long, the halftime break was over.
As the second half kicked off, Chelsea's players remained in good form.
With Chelsea already leading, they weren't in any rush to press for another goal.
Instead, they focused on maintaining control, using careful passing to dictate the tempo of the game.
Atletico Madrid, playing at home, also took a more patient approach.
They were only one goal behind, and as long as they could stabilize the rhythm, there was still plenty of time to equalize.
The next few minutes saw both teams fall into a more relaxed state.
Neither Chelsea nor Atletico Madrid seemed eager to push forward aggressively.
This slower pace continued for about ten minutes.
Then, suddenly, Atletico's midfielder, Thomas Partey, made a precise pass.
He found the striker Correa on the right wing.
Tonight, Correa had few chances to shine.
Most of Atletico Madrid's attacks had gone through Griezmann, leaving Correa relatively quiet.
But now, it was Correa's moment.
On the right flank, Correa exploded with speed the moment he received the ball.
His pace was electric.
In the blink of an eye, he left several Chelsea defenders behind.
Since Correa hadn't showcased much of his ability in the first half, most of Chelsea's players underestimated him.
They thought he was more of a background player.
Little did they know, Correa's individual skills were exceptional.
His dribbling, especially on the wing, was almost unstoppable.
After breezing past multiple defenders, Correa reached a prime position to cross.
He took a quick glance at the defenders' positioning and made a swift decision.
With perfect timing, he delivered the ball into the box.
You have to give credit to Correa—his crossing ability was impressive.
The ball landed perfectly at the feet of Saul in midfield.
Without hesitation, Saul unleashed a powerful volley.
The ball shot toward Chelsea's goal with incredible speed and force, a testament to Saul's technique.
In a split second, the ball flew like lightning towards the net.
Despite Courtois being highly focused, he couldn't stop it.
Saul's long-range shot pierced through Chelsea's defense.
It was Saul's second goal of the game.
In previous matches, Saul had also managed to beat Courtois with a similar long-range effort.
