From Beast Abilities to Sect Grand Master

The slicing wave sliced through her throat, and her blood spurted out like a leaked pipe.

Qing Yang Zi's robe was dyed into a ghastly crimson.

Jade Face Lin's arms and legs went limp, and she became motionless.

Qing Yang Zi lowered the Qing Feng Sword and kicked her body off the Qing Feng Sword.

Plop.

Jade Face Lin's body gave out a thud when it landed.

"Sect master!" Zhao Ming Ye shouted as he and Han Dang led the Qing Feng Sect disciples into the open square.

"Just in time, take her head and see if we can get any useful information out of it." Qing Yang Zi said and flicked the Qing Feng Sword to get rid of the blood stain that was on the green blade of the sword.

"I will get to it immediately." Zhao Ming Ye said and squatted down next to Jade Face Lin's body.

Over on the other side of the open square, Lin Fan stood and took out a Heavenly Rejuvenate Pill.

He swallowed it and looked at the carnage that the Dark Lord and his party had brought upon the Yi Mei Sect.

There were bodies lying all over the open square, some had their heads and limbs missing.

Most of them had their eyes and mouths wide open.

Fear was the last thing they felt before they died.

"Lin Fan... Thanks so much for the help." Zhao Jia Rui came up to Lin Fan and bowed at him.

She saw what Lin Fan did to save her, and it brought her back into reality.

What was she thinking?

Lin Fan's ability and hers were too far apart.

Even if she had feelings for him, it was not to be.

And right now, there were more important things other than marriage for her to be worried about.

"It was nothing. The Dark Lord and his men were after my life, and it was just self-preservation." Lin Fan replied,

Trying his best not to give Zhao Jia Rui any wrong ideas.

"I understand." She nodded at his reply and gave out a soft sigh.

Zhao Jia Rui took a deep breath and stood up.

"Please excuse me, but I have to take care of my sect master." She pointed at Mei Hong who was on the ground, being held up by several disciples.

"Please do, I need to check with my sect master too." Lin Fan gave her a smile and walked away.

Zhao Jia Rui turned and walked toward Mei Hong.

She shook her head and thought silently to herself, it was far easier than she thought.

Lin Fan walked over and checked on Zhang Yi Nian and Zhang Xi.

Zhang Yi Nian wasn't hurt much except being tired with his Qi and energy exhausted.

It was the same for Zhang Xi as she had stayed out of danger and helped the young masters with their servants and family members to run away.

"Master, do you have any idea who the others were?" Lin Fan passed Zhang Yi Nian another Heavenly Rejuvenate Pill and asked.

Zhang Yi Nian frowned at the seemingly endless pills Lin Fan had.

He took the pill and swallowed it.

"I have no idea." Zhang Yi Nian shook his head.

"One of them was the Iron Heart Nun, a former disciple of the Yi Mei Sect." Mei Hong, who was now able to stand up, came over and said.

Lin Fan nodded and thought to himself.

Seems like the people that were with the Dark Lord were all former disciples seeking vengeance on their sects.

"I'd like to thank you for saving Jia Rui's life." Mei Hong bowed and said.

"It was nothing." Lin Fan replied and took a step back.

Mei Hong wanted to say something but stopped herself when she saw his reaction.

She took out a wooden slab from her sleeve instead.

"This is a storage artifact with some valuables in it. Please accept it for the help you've rendered." Mei Hong stretched out her hand with the wooden slab on it.

"Thank you so much."

Lin Fan took the wooden slab and thanked Mei Hong.

He wasn't someone that fixated on formalities.

"If you excuse me, I will have to talk to the Qing Feng Sect sect master." Mei Hong excused herself and walked over to talk with Qing Yang Zi.

Zhao Jia Rui followed behind Mei Hong, and she gave Lin Fan one last glance as she walked by.

When Qing Yang Zi finished his discussions with Mei Hong, it was time for the Qing Feng Sect to return.

The Qing Feng Sect had tried to help Yi Mei Sect's injured disciples and those young masters heavily injured.

The clans and families of these young masters will be out for blood when the news breaks out.

But that would be something that the Yi Mei Sect must handle for themselves.

So, Qing Yang Zi with the other peak lords returned to Qing Feng Sect on the golden leaf artifact.

The first thing when they arrived back in the sect was for Zhao Ming Ye to use his Memory Recall Formation to extract whatever information he could from Jade Face Lin's head.

Qing Yang Zi dismissed the others while they waited for the result.

Lin Fan went back to his wooden hut for a rest while Zhang Yi Nian and Zhang Xi went back to the Physique Peak.

Ho Jie was making dinner when Lin Fan entered the wooden hut.

"You are back. Let me add more dishes for you." Ho Jie chuckled, and he proceeded to prepare more to accommodate Lin Fan's return.

Lin Fan poured himself a cup of tea, and he sat down to ponder.

Who was it that could hurt him just with using aura alone?

The owner of the pair of eyes must have been much more powerful than Qing Yang Zi or Zhang Yi Nian.

He had better figure it out before he encounters the same person next time.

"Come, you must be starving, have some meat." Ho Jie brought out two plates of meat on his hands and placed them onto the table.

He continued to place more dishes, and they started to have dinner.

"Are there anyone that's more powerful than sect master or my master?" Lin Fan, munching on a piece of meat, asked.
