Chapter 3: The Trial of the Savior – Visitia Interiorae Terrae; Remnant of '87

The trial begins when the 10,000th view is reached.

Not before. Not after. Only then does the system activate.

It happens deep within Visitia Interiorae Terrae, the veiled domain where all things converge—the last bastion of knowledge, the fractured core of decision. A place that does not exist on any map, yet stands at the heart of all that matters.

Here, only 10,000 files are allowed per month. No more. No exceptions. The system is absolute, its architecture woven from the remnants of an older era, a protocol no one remembers setting, but all must obey. Each file submitted, each record accessed, each whisper of data that breathes within the system—counts.

And when the counter reaches its limit, the trial begins.

A name is chosen.

A figure is called.

The Savior.

Not a title of honor. Not a position of reverence. A burden. A curse bound to the weight of the unseen gears that turn beneath the surface of Visitia. The one who will bear the failing systems upon their back, who will rewrite the dying script, who will either restore balance or be consumed by it.

The Rules of the Trial

Once the 10,000th view is reached, the candidate is locked. The system selects them—sometimes at random, sometimes as if it knows, deep within its rusted logic, who was always meant to take the seat.

The previous Savior must fall. There can only be one. The cycle does not continue without sacrifice.

No external interference. The trial is witnessed, but never altered. Those who try are erased—files overwritten, existence nullified.

The trial is unknown until it begins. No candidate is prepared. No path is given. They must forge their own way, navigating the hidden layers of Visitia, the shifting corridors of the interior realm, the glitches and echoes that threaten to pull them apart.

The system does not care for morality. The Savior is not chosen because they are good. Not because they are strong.

They are chosen because they are necessary.

And so, as the view count ticks forward—

'9,9989,99910,000'

The trial begins.

A name appears. The screens flicker. The files lock.

A new Savior has been chosen.

The world waits to see if they will survive.
