Chapter 64: Chapter 64: The Great Disaster Zone – Osial: "I Am the Storm that is Approaching"
After witnessing Childe activate the Sigils of Permission, the player's perspective shifts.
Yujing Terrace
A large crowd of Liyue citizens had gathered here—merchants, dockworkers, and more. They had come to demand answers. Ningguang had previously issued a direct order to blockade the harbor and released a statement: If you want to know the reason, come to Yujing Terrace.
Ningguang's subordinates were merely following the orders of the Qixing, but they themselves were unaware of the full situation. Faced with the crowd, they could only repeat vague reassurances—telling them that there was danger at sea and that the blockade would be lifted soon.
Such explanations were hardly convincing. Besides, the weather was clear and calm—where was this so-called danger? And who would compensate for the economic losses caused by the port's closure? The Tianquan herself?
Just as tensions were about to escalate—
Suddenly—
The skies above Liyue darkened. In an instant, thunder and rain lashed down. Several towering waterspouts, thicker than the mountains of Guyun Stone Forest, surged from the sea, connecting the sky and the ocean. The seal had weakened. A monstrous entity, slumbering for millennia, awakened. Bearing the hatred of thousands of years of imprisonment, it advanced toward Liyue Harbor.
[Holy crap, I have megalophobia!]
[Damn, I have thalassophobia!]
[My sanity is plummeting!]
[This scene is terrifying—what about the people out at sea?]
[What can they do? Let the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor handle it.]
From the elevated vantage of Yujing Terrace, the unnatural phenomena were now visible. The towering waves, the raging whirlwinds—
And people were still worried about their Mora? If they had set sail now, they wouldn't even have their lives. Even Ningguang's subordinates were stunned. Their superiors had only mentioned "danger at sea."
But this? This wasn't just danger—it was a catastrophe!
A disaster for Liyue Harbor. The oppressive aura of an ancient god surged from the depths.
This was not something ordinary people could withstand. A fisherman, trembling in fear, collapsed to his knees, crying out, "Adepti, protect us!"
Someone nearby helped him up, consoling him, "With Rex Lapis now departed and Liyue facing such calamity, we truly can only pray for the Adepti's protection..."
The fisherman steadied himself and replied, "Not a prayer—but gratitude. The Adepti have already protected us."
The other man was puzzled. "What do you mean?"
The fisherman explained, "If not for the Adepti, we'd still be out there fishing right now..."
He pointed toward the eye of the storm—Guyun Stone Forest. Then, he recounted their experience. Earlier, they had been fishing near Guyun Stone Forest as usual. Somehow, in a daze, they found themselves back in Liyue Harbor.
"A white-haired youth jumped down from the mast and told us, 'The sea is dangerous. Return to shore at once.'"
"At first, we didn't understand—until the Millelith arrived under orders to escort us and seal the harbor."
"Only then did we realize he was an Adeptus. Thanks to him, everyone on all five of our fishing boats survived..."
His voice carried, and those nearby heard him clearly. To instantly transport people from Guyun Stone Forest—only an Adeptus could do such a thing. And if not for his intervention, given the current state of Guyun Stone Forest... Those five boats would have been swallowed by the sea.
[Yangbao! My hero!]
[Mu Yang single-handedly saved so many families...]
[Mu Yang is practically divine!]
[I was wrong, Mu Yang. I shouldn't have blamed you for leaving the party and making me face Childe alone. I spoke too harshly earlier.]
[Our Mu Yang isn't your babysitter. If you're bad, just practice more, okay?]
"So… Lady Ningguang is working with the Adepti to save Liyue Harbor?"
"Look at the sky—it's Lady Ningguang's Jade Chamber!"
"The Qixing are taking action!"
"We're saved! We're saved!"
Meanwhile, aboard the slowly advancing Jade Chamber…
The Qixing and the Adepti had gathered together. Mu Yang, of course, was lazily leaning against his usual spot, hidden from view. Ganyu glanced toward Cloud Retainer's group—only seeing Mountain Shaper, Moon Carver, and the Vigilant Yaksha, Xiao.
The one she had been hoping to see was nowhere in sight. Earlier, in Dihua Marsh, hadn't Paimon said that Mu Yang had gone to find Cloud Retainer?
She asked, "Cloud Retainer, where is Mu Yang? Did he not come with you?"
Cloud Retainer found the question odd.
"Mu Yang has always been following that golden-haired traveler. Why would this one know?"
Ganyue tilted her head. "Huh? But—"
Ningguang cut in. "Allow me to explain."
She then recounted how Mu Yang had gone to rescue the fishermen earlier.
Keqing gave a sharp remark. "That doesn't sound like you. You'd trust someone you just met?"
Ningguang smiled meaningfully.
"His intelligence-gathering is unquestionable—after all, he even knew about the clay doll—"
"Ahem." Keqing coughed awkwardly.
Upon reflection, she had realized, Mu Yang had never actually intended to gift her a clay doll. He had just been teasing her. The moment Paimon mentioned "sugar-frosted Slime," he immediately agreed…
Xiao, who had been silent, spoke up.
"He possesses a unique sensitivity toward the gods."
Mu Yang, eavesdropping from the roof, was stunned. So you all understand me better than I understand myself?! With the small talk over, Ningguang activated the acceleration array. The Jade Chamber surged forward, heading straight for Osial—To stop him from reaching Liyue Harbor.
Golden House
Childe unleashed the power bestowed upon him by the Tsaritsa. Activating dozens of Sigils of Permission, he finally shook the seal of Rex Lapis' stone spears.
Spreading his arms, he declared, "Now then, behold—"
"A godless land."
"Will it be swallowed once more by ancient malice?"
Transforming into a sphere of water, he fled the Golden House.
"But if you wish to drown alongside the people of Liyue… then enjoy yourselves."
Lumine immediately gave chase. They rushed out of the Golden House, pursuing him all the way to the mountaintop—But Childe was nowhere to be seen. Lumine watched as violent waves crashed against the harbor.
Her mind raced—what could they do now? Then, a massive shadow passed by her. The Jade Chamber, soaring through the sky. Summoning all her strength, Lumine rode the wind— With a running start and a burst of energy, she leapt onto the Jade Chamber's platform.
The hero has arrived!
