Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 36: Chapter 36

"A fragment of a God…"

Hearing that this was Osial's eye, the Chi's massive body immediately took two steps back.

Although it possessed a vitality that even the Geo Archon Morax couldn't handle, forcing him to seal it away in pieces, it was still far inferior to a Gods. Not to mention, this was Osial, God who had made a name for itself even in the ancient Archon War.

Inside the jar, the eye rotated, and the Chi could feel a cold gaze falling upon it. It had to admit, its legs went weak.

It wasn't afraid of Morax, after all, that old thing seemed like it was about to explode any moment, but Osial was a different story.

Its own seal was almost completely broken, and a being of Osial's caliber would only break free faster. Plus, this old thing controlled the same elemental power as it did, making it a natural counter.

The Abyss Mage ignored the Chi's fear and directly opened the jar containing Osial's eye.

Instantly, seawater floated up and condensed into a small, nine-headed serpent in the air.

The eye hung atop the central serpent's head.

Osial leisurely approached the Chi.

The Chi frantically retreated but soon hit the edge of the seal.

"The seal! That's right, I still have Morax's seal here. You can't get in! Haha!"

The Chi seemed to wake from a dream, taunting Osial.

But all it received was Osial's look of disdain, as if it were an idiot.

The clear serpentine body twisted and passed through the hazy golden seal, wrapping itself around the Chi.

"What were you saying just now?"

The water-formed serpent's tail gently brushed against the Chi's neck, as if tenderly caressing a lover's smooth back. But even through its scales, the Chi felt a chill run down its spine.

What the hell! What's going on with Morax's seal? Why did it only seal me? What about Osial?

You're not sealing a God?!

"Upon closer inspection, your body is quite interesting. Surprisingly robust."

One of Osial's heads leaned closer to the Chi, its water-formed tongue lightly licking the Chi's skeletal skull. A glint of excitement flashed in its single eye.

It admitted it had misjudged earlier, only now realizing the uniqueness of this creature.

In a way, this creature's body was even more terrifying than a God's.

A God could be killed, and after death, it could only lie dormant, waiting for the right moment to revive.

But this thing couldn't die. Even someone as powerful as Morax could only seal it away in pieces.

"It seems the Abyss Order is somewhat useful after all."

Osial was quite satisfied with the Chi's body. As long as it could take over this body, it could use it to break the seal at Guyun Stone Forest and release its true form.

As for failure? It didn't even consider that possibility. It was a God. How could it fail against a mere beast?

In the next moment, Osial slammed into the Chi's body. Its eye turned into a puddle of water and merged into the Chi's form.

"Wait, what are you doing? Get out of my body!"

The Chi was shocked. It felt its body gradually slipping out of its control.

For the first time, it experienced a fear it had never felt before. Even when Morax had sealed it away thousands of years ago, it hadn't been this terrified.

The massive beast thrashed wildly within the seal. The golden seal flickered a few times, and the water-soaked stone pillars were smashed into mud.

A roar of pain echoed through the underground palace, and chaotic water currents wrapped around its body like ribbons.

The Abyss Mage watched this scene with a smile, not lifting a finger to stop it.

In fact, both Osial's fragment and the Chi's body had been tampered with by the Abyss Order.

After all, neither Osial gaining the Chi's body nor the Chi suppressing Osial aligned with the Order's interests. What they needed was a war machine driven mad by conflict.

At this moment, the Chi felt its consciousness growing fuzzier, and its control over its body slipping away.

"Heh, it would've been better if you'd just given in earlier."

Osial's cold voice echoed in its mind. Just from the tone, it could imagine a vicious, venomous snake.

But just as it was about to disappear completely, a surge of power erupted from its body, instantly clearing its mind.

"Damn it, what's going on?!"

Osial's furious voice rang out in its mind. It had completely lost control of the Chi's body.

"Haha, damn old thing, you should've been sealed away in a rotting grave like Morax long ago!"

The Chi, having regained control of its body, laughed heartily, venting its panic.

That moment had truly scared it to death.

But in the next moment, it stopped laughing. It could feel its back growing increasingly painful, as if something was burrowing through its flesh.

No, not as if, something was indeed burrowing through its flesh.

A small bulge suddenly appeared on the Chi's back. In the next moment, the bulge burst open, revealing a constantly rotating eye.

Then, azure flesh spread, multiplied, and intertwined, growing a serpent's head on the Chi's back!

Through the reflection on the water outside the cave, the Chi easily saw the serpent's head on its back.

Overwhelming fear surged in its heart, and it instinctively began moving toward the cave's exit.

It needed to get to Liyue and find Morax.

At this moment, the only one it could think of to save it was Morax. This elder had lived through countless ages. He would surely know how to deal with Osial.

Between losing its body and being sealed away by Morax again, it chose the latter.

This was only natural. After all, it knew where its strengths lay.

The Abyss Mage watched this scene with a smile.

Its goal had been achieved.

With a wave of its hand, its body began to fade, intending to leave before the conflict between the Chi and Osial fully erupted.

"Unfortunately, you can't leave here."

Just then, the sound of crisp footsteps reached the ears of the three non-human beings.

All three of them warily looked toward the cave entrance. After a while, they saw a handsome man followed by a strange creature walk in.

It was Li Pan and Landorus.

"Well, everyone's here. Saves me the trouble of looking for you one by one."
