Genshin Impact: What, the one we need to save is Focalors?

Chapter 126: Chapter 126: The Snezhnaya Meeting

"Since Dottore has already promised to take action, we don't need to discuss the Inazuma issue further."

Pierro said, turning his gaze towards Arlecchino, "Once Yide is gone, the entire West Factory is bound to fall into chaos. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to take control of the West Factory."

"I know what I'm doing," Arlecchino responded indifferently.

But a subtle, cold smile flickered across her lips, as if mocking their arrogance and ignorance.

Pierro continued, "The second matter for discussion: obtaining the Gnosis and seizing the authority of the gods."

As soon as his words fell, all the Harbingers present became solemn.

Rosalyne couldn't help but ask, "Director Pierro, I don't understand. Why must we wait until the Descender appears before we can take action?"

Pierro gave a profound answer, "On the continent of Teyvat, the fate of all living beings follows a predetermined trajectory. Only the intervention of a Descender can bring about true change."

Upon hearing the word "fate," an inexplicable premonition surged within Rosalyne. As the Crimson Witch, her ultimate destiny was to be reduced to burning ashes.

Sitting beside the Captain, the young woman Columbina softly said, "There is likely less than a year until the Fourth Descender arrives." Her voice was like a clear spring flowing in a deep mountain valley, ethereal and far-reaching.

Pierro's expression was serious. "I hope you will be prepared in the time to come. Under the guidance of Her Imperial Majesty, the Tsaritsa, we will surely seize the authority of the gods!"

All the Harbingers present responded in unison.

After the meeting concluded, the Harbingers filed out one by one. Their footsteps echoed in the vast hall until they completely disappeared.

Pierro remained alone in the meeting room, lost in deep contemplation.

The grand palace suddenly lost its life, leaving only his solitary figure accompanied by the long conference table.

Suddenly, a cool, clear female voice broke the silence – it was the voice of the Tsaritsa. Her words carried no emotion, yet conveyed an unquestionable authority: "Mister Pierro, Dottore's segments are incapable of killing Yide." Her voice was like the eternal, unmelting ice atop a snow-capped mountain peak – cold and firm.

Pierro sharply raised his head, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He pondered for a moment before speaking slowly, "Dottore's power is comparable to that of the gods. Although he dispersed his strength into multiple segments, the power of each segment is still close to that of an Archon. Coupled with his masterful deception skills, his assassinations have never failed."

The Tsaritsa's voice remained calm and firm, "What I stated is the final outcome."

Pierro no longer questioned it. If she said Dottore couldn't kill Yide, then it was an unchangeable fact. But how could Lin Yide, merely an ordinary human not even thirty years old, possess such power?

"Your Majesty, I don't understand."

The Tsaritsa slowly raised her head, her deep gaze piercing through the distance. "Many things in this world are beyond our understanding."

.........

Shortly after Arlecchino left the palace, the Ninth of the Eleven, Pantalone the Regrator, hastily caught up with her.

"Arlecchino," he proposed gently, "I... I hope to discuss some potential business collaborations with you."

Arlecchino stopped walking. She gave Pantalone a deep glance, her eyes revealing a clear hint of contempt. Although Pantalone and Lin Yide were similar in temperament in some ways, the fundamental difference between them was vast. His Northland Bank circulated only blood, tears, and wails.

"Pantalone, I have no interest in your business collaboration proposal," Arlecchino responded coldly. Ever since she became the Deputy Head of the West Factory, the House of the Hearth no longer worried about economic resources, and she couldn't be bothered to play games with this scoundrel.

Although inwardly furious, Pantalone was helpless. He could only continue maintaining a pleasant demeanor and say, "Arlecchino, why don't you hear my specific plan first? It's not too late to decide afterwards."

Arlecchino appeared rather impatient. "I can roughly guess your plans without even hearing them. Furthermore, whether your plans can be successfully implemented relies on a crucial premise – that Yide must die."

Pantalone was greatly startled by this. "You mean, Dottore is incapable of killing Yide?"

Arlecchino didn't answer directly, merely giving a contemptuous smile before quickly departing, leaving Pantalone behind in thought.

Pantalone's expression gradually turned grim.

If Yide doesn't die, the Northland Bank will never be able to establish itself in prosperous Fontaine. This means his ideology may never be realized.

Therefore, Yide must die!

This thought became increasingly firm in his mind.

.........

At the construction site in Port Fudé, Scaramouche was focused on building a wall.

His movements were skilled and swift; each brick was precisely placed in its intended position, resulting in a wall surface that was even and aesthetically pleasing.

Beside him, Imai Jiro was assisting him.

After a few days of work, Scaramouche showed astonishing talent in manual labor, particularly in concrete work. His speed was not only fast, but the quality was also high, earning him unanimous approval from his fellow workers and the foreman, Goro. If nothing unexpected happened, he would soon be promoted to master worker, earning a salary of 1500 Mora a day.

Just as he was working enthusiastically, Lin Yide arrived with Kaedehara Kazuha.

Scaramouche securely placed the last brick, then turned and said to Imai Jiro, "Goodbye."

A hint of reluctance flashed in Imai Jiro's eyes. He softly cautioned, "Kunikuzushi, no matter where you go, take good care of yourself."

Scaramouche didn't speak, merely nodding deeply. He felt a sense of heaviness in his heart, as if weighed down by something heavy.

But he didn't stop walking. Instead, he walked directly towards Lin Yide and Kaedehara Kazuha, who were waiting nearby.

Afterwards, the three of them left together and walked towards the sea.

The moist sea breeze blew towards them, gently sweeping across their faces, bringing the freshness and coolness of the sea.

After walking some distance, Lin Yide stopped and introduced Scaramouche, "This is Kaedehara Kazuha. He is a descendant of the Kaedehara Clan."

Upon hearing this, Scaramouche's heart suddenly trembled.

In retaliation for the Raiden Shogun's abandonment and Niwa's "betrayal," he had committed irreparable crimes. Countless innocent lives perished in his rage, including members of the Kaedehara family.

He slowly walked towards Kaedehara Kazuha. "Kaedehara Kazuha, if you are willing, you can pierce my heart with your blade. I will not resist."

His voice was calm and firm, revealing an attitude of readily confronting the past.

Kaedehara Kazuha stared intently at Scaramouche, his eyes filled with complex emotions. He should have unhesitatingly raised the samurai sword in his hand and pierced Scaramouche's heart with a single strike, to avenge the deceased members of the Kaedehara family.

However, upon seeing Scaramouche's face, which held a mix of relief and slight regret, he found himself unable to strike.

Kaedehara Kazuha let out a cold snort. "Hmph! To die so simply would be far too easy on you."

Scaramouche gave a self-deprecating smile. "Yes, if simply killing me, this sinner and fool, is all it takes, then it truly would be too easy on me."

Kaedehara Kazuha said, "Follow Master Yide with me. Become that unparalleled blade that cleaves through Inazuma's thorns. Let us work together to bring true happiness and peace to the people of Inazuma."

"If this can atone for my sins, I am willing," Scaramouche immediately replied.

Thus, the West Factory gained a guard named Thunderclap.
