Global Beast Mastery: Only I Can See the Hints

Chapter 587: It was Just Charles' Luck

Outside the forest, the Beast Masters who had not received a spot from the Abyssal Depths, as well as those from the Haunted Marsh, were all watching the direction of the forest. They were eager to know what was happening inside, but since this wasn't a competition and there was no live broadcast, they couldn't watch it through a stream.

One of the Ninth-level Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh suggested, "Why don't we ask Lord Isolde and see if he can tell us what's going on inside?"

The others exchanged glances. Everyone knew that the code for the Ten-Man Council was 'Ten', and Isolde was someone who hated trouble. Approaching him now would likely result in some scolding.

They were all Ninth-level Beast Masters, figures revered by thousands. If they were scolded in private, it wouldn't be much of an issue. But here, in front of so many people, it would be a different matter.

Callum gritted his teeth. He was still worried about Charles, especially because, from his perspective, with so many talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh entering, if even a small fraction of them targeted Charles, he would be at a serious disadvantage.

After a brief moment of thought, Callum flew straight to the highest point, where Isolde was. He whispered, "My lord..."

Before he could finish, Isolde waved his hand dismissively, responding, "Alright, I heard you. Such a hassle!"

With a snap of his fingers, countless colorful lights flew out of the forest, converging in the sky, forming a huge screen. On the screen, images of the forest's secret realm appeared, showing hundreds of scenes. The largest one displayed Charles, starting from the very beginning all the way to when he defeated three of the Haunted Marsh's talented Beast Masters.

Immediately, the Beast Masters outside the forest gasped in awe. Someone exclaimed, "Oh my God, it's Charles! He took down three talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh as soon as he entered!"

"He's our role model! This is exactly how it should be—taking down those arrogant Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh!"

"When Charles comes out, I'm definitely going to tell him, 'Well done!'"

On the other side, the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh frowned. One of them muttered angrily, "Are the Beast Masters defeated by Charles really that useless? How could they be so careless? Charles followed them all the way and they never noticed!"

"This is so humiliating!"

Others, arguing with the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths, said, "What do you mean Charles did well? It was clearly a sneak attack! Shameless! He's too weak to face them directly, so he resorts to such despicable tactics!"

The Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths immediately retorted, "What nonsense are you talking?!"

"Your so-called talented Beast Masters sent three of them together to target that Serpent from the Abyssal Depths, and now you have the audacity to criticize Charles?!"

"How shameful!"

"What's wrong with a sneak attack? This is a battle. Should we really tell the enemy what we're good at and what our weaknesses are? If that's the case, we might as well just surrender!"

Soon, the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths and the Haunted Marsh were arguing fiercely, because most of the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh had already entered the secret realm. Now, only a few dozen were left outside.

These dozen or so had to face countless Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths. Even if their strength didn't match up, the sheer number of Abyssal Depths Beast Masters could easily make their lives a living hell.

Everett had been watching the situation closely. Unable to help himself, he released some of his aura, locking onto the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths.

In an instant, the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths were engulfed by an invisible pressure, causing them to shut their mouths.

Meanwhile, the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh couldn't contain their smugness, shouting loudly:

"Go ahead! Keep shouting!"

"Just watch Charles, and watch how we, the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh, kick him out of the secret realm!"

"Charles was just lucky earlier, meeting the weakest three. Now, it's his turn to be unlucky. Just wait and watch!"

"Useless!"

The Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths struggled against the pressure, staring hard at the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh. They had no way to resist.

A Ninth-level Beast Master was easily able to suppress those of lower levels.

The only Eighth-level Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths present, Flint, did nothing. It seemed like he hadn't noticed anything at all.

This situation made the Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths extremely furious. All they could do was hope that Charles would perform beyond expectations and give the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh inside the secret realm a good lesson!

In the sky, Callum furrowed his brow and said faintly to Everett, "Enough, just stop the conflict. Continuing to suppress them is a bit much."

Everett snorted coldly and chose to stop.

He looked at the images in the sky and said flatly, "A small-time talent from the Abyssal Depths. He hasn't made any progress, yet he's wasting his time hunting insignificant ferocious beasts like crocodiles. How foolish!"

A Ninth-level Beast Master nearby added, "Stop watching Charles. Look over here. This is our Beast Sect's talent, James Connor, who's contracted with a [Giant Venomous Mosquito Queen]. He's using countless [Giant Venomous Mosquitoes] to search for the exit to the maze!"

Apart from James Connor, there were other talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh, each using various methods to try to find the exit of the white maze. About five or six of them were making exceptionally rapid progress, with a high chance of success.

And Kairos was among them.

In comparison, Charles, who had wasted too much time at the white lake, clearly didn't have the qualifications to compete with these true talents!

Everett carefully observed and spotted a genius Sixth-level Beast Master from the Ancient Academy. Smiling smugly, he said, "This is David Lee from our Ancient Academy! Do you see? His method is to gather as many people as possible to cooperate and quickly eliminate the wrong paths. Isn't it impressive?"

"What's Charles even good for? I bet he'll be stuck in the maze, unable to get out, hahaha!"

Callum frowned. Although he was optimistic about Charles, the other talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh were indeed excellent, and many of them were progressing far faster than Charles. It seemed unlikely that Charles would be able to find the correct path before they did.

In the current footage above, Charles was sitting on a rock with his eyes closed, doing nothing.

No one knew that at this moment, Charles was recalling the details of the map.

Two mystical beasts had already leveled up, and Charles wanted to find more items like the [Energy Crystal] to also raise the levels of Little Gold and Mia.

As for finding the correct path in the maze and leaving?

Charles wasn't planning on that just yet. There were still many good things inside the maze. Leaving so early would be a huge loss.

Plus, he knew what the correct path was. If he wanted to leave, he could easily do so—he wouldn't waste much time at all.

If he ran at full speed, it would take him about half an hour.

It wasn't that Charles was slow; it was just that the white maze was really huge. Without a map, Charles estimated it would take him around seven to eight hours to exit.

Charles slowly opened his eyes and said, "Stop hiding. You've already been exposed. Don't worry, I'm also a Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths. You must have seen the footage of me attacking those three Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh who were chasing you, right?"

There was no response.

Charles smiled slightly. He had to admit, this hidden Serpent was quite cautious.

Charles looked around, picked up a small stone, and threw it in a certain direction. Then he said, "You're Serpent People. You must know Joshua and Aria. I'm their friend."

Aria was the Serpent Queen he had met when he first became a Beast Master, during his trials. Joshua, her guardian, had taught him many things and even gifted him an item.

It wasn't until then, when the small stone hit the ground, that a figure slowly emerged.

Under Charles' watch, it was a white Serpent, its white scales reflecting the surrounding light.

When the Serpent raised its head, Charles realized that the Serpent was female.

The female Serpent cautiously said, "Who are you? How do you know the names of Queen Aria and Lord Joshua?"

Charles was momentarily stunned. He uncertainly asked, "Aria, and Joshua—did they never mention me?"

The female Serpent shook her head and replied, "At least I haven't heard of you. I've been following Queen Aria for some time, and she's never mentioned any human friends."

Without wasting any more time, Charles carefully searched around and threw the item Joshua had given him at the female Serpent. The item still carried Joshua's scent.

After carefully inspecting it, the female Serpent finally relaxed her guard.

She then shed her Serpent form, revealing her smooth legs, which bore a frightening wound.

Charles looked at the low-grade recovery miracle drugs the female Serpent was using and sighed. He immediately threw her a bottle of purple-quality recovery miracle drug.

To his surprise, the female Serpent said "thank you" before putting the purple-quality recovery miracle drug away, continuing to treat her wound with the lower-quality miracle drugs.

Charles furrowed his brow tightly. She was being so frugal?

Since the female Serpent was Aria's follower, it could give him some indication of Aria's current situation.

Charles asked her about Aria.

As expected, the female Serpent responded gloomily, "Queen Aria's condition is not good. The enemy is despicable. I don't know what method they used, but it has made the curse on the Queen even worse!"
