Global Composite Master: Compositing an Undead Army from the Start

Chapter 175: Setting sights on the treasure! (Three in one, 5/5)_1

The Alien assassins struck with extreme speed, five of them ganging up on a single target. A direct hit was fatal.

Moreover, each group included someone carrying the "Absolute Death Stone."

This special item, if activated by its bearer, prevented any being within a ten-meter radius from resurrecting after death, including the bearer.

Carrying such an item was a true double-edged sword; one misstep could doom the user as well.

However, to guarantee a successful assassination, carrying it was deemed necessary.

This was currently the most cost-effective method available for widespread restriction of resurrection abilities.

Of course, 'cost-effective' in this context referred to the acquisition cost when supported by the resources of an entire Star System.

An ordinary individual would need to expend considerable effort to obtain even one.

However, since this item could be reliably found in specific locations, it was far easier to acquire than Chen Mo's Ring of Death, which possessed a similar effect.

In addition to this, some of them also carried the "Stone of Mediocrity."

Similar to the "Absolute Death Stone," once activated, it affected both parties within its limited ten-meter effective range, directly sealing all their passive abilities.

Consequently, any passive abilities triggered by fatal injuries—such as damage reduction, full health resurrection, or damage transfer akin to Chen Mo's Shared Fate—would be instantly nullified.

With these two items, they could essentially guarantee the nullification of all a target's survival abilities.

Furthermore, they had coated their weapons with a special venom. Upon the target's death, this venom would instantly and completely destroy the corpse.

This ensured the target could not be resurrected, even if the "Absolute Death Stone" effect wore off.

After all, all known resurrection abilities required some part of the corpse to remain.

The Heavenly Dao imposed significant restrictions in this regard.

Hair or nails left behind before death were useless; only components of the body remaining after death counted. Complete destruction of the corpse made resurrection impossible.

Unless one could find an Above SSS-level resurrection ability.

Clearly, however, Earth's people had yet to discover such an ability.

Therefore, as long as they delivered a killing blow, the target had no chance of survival.

At The First Pavilion, twenty Assassins launched their attack simultaneously, five of whom charged at Yan Yingyue!

Fortunately, having experienced a previous assassination attempt, Yan Yingyue now possessed a life-saving item that automatically detected and repelled enemies within a twenty-meter radius. Thus, even if her assailants intended to use the "Stone of Mediocrity" to negate her passive abilities, they would first need to get within ten meters of her.

Evidently, twenty meters being greater than ten, Yan Yingyue's protective item would trigger before the "Stone of Mediocrity" could take effect, preventing them from approaching.

The moment they drew near, the energy shield repelled them.

Simultaneously, numerous experts who had already mobilized to protect Yan Yingyue launched ferocious attacks, mercilessly slaughtering the assailants.

After all, assassins, despite their high offensive power, were inherently fragile. Faced with so many experts, their survival skills were rendered useless.

Five corpses exploded instantly, drawing screams from the inexperienced students nearby.

Even if they had killed monsters, few had witnessed the gruesome sight of human-on-human slaughter.

They were naturally terrified, especially since the killings occurred right beside them.

The human experts, however, loathed the Alien Assassins and attacked without mercy.

They wished they could resurrect the Assassins only to slaughter them again!

These five were killed instantaneously.

Meanwhile, the other fifteen Assassins were simultaneously attacking three different key targets in three separate locations within the pavilion.

One group of Assassins moved faster than the hidden guardians. Although the guardians intercepted three of them, two slipped through and successfully assassinated their target.

The targeted girl barely had time to react. She saw a shadow flicker before her, a cold light flashed, and then her vision went black; she saw nothing more.

She hadn't gone blind; rather, her entire body had been instantly corroded by the venom, turning into a pile of ash.

Her death was not in vain, however. The Assassins who had ganged up to kill her were, in turn, immediately wiped out by the Earth experts.

The Earth experts gazed at the pile of ashes on the ground, their expressions impassive.

The girl just killed might have been a rising hope for Earth's younger generation. Yet, her death led to the exposure of five Alien Assassins and the crucial information they carried about their backers. Who could say which loss weighed more heavily against the gain?

The other two groups of Assassins were less fortunate, encountering guarding teams with exceptionally fast experts.

Even when assassins in one of these groups used Instant Flicker to appear beside their target, they had no time to strike before an Earth expert preempted their attack, felling them with a single palm strike.

After all, only those below the fifth-transition could enter through the Teleportation Ground.

Individuals possessing Divine Power could not use such teleporters to reach other planets.

Conversely, Earth faced no such restrictions for its protectors and could dispatch individuals with Divine Power.

However, competition within the Tower of Eternity was also fierce. All fifth-transition experts were vital combatants, making it difficult to recall them for protection duties. Sparingly assigning even a handful for such duties was already the utmost limit.

The recent strong attack on the Teleportation Ground had incurred significant losses; this small contingent would likely need to return to the Tower of Eternity soon to reinforce their ranks.
