Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Binding the God Simulator
"Cai Jikun, awakening failed."
"Qian Gou, awakening succeeded. A planet with a land diameter of 3 kilometers, no special energy present."
Southern City, Nantian High School.
The teacher held a small notebook in Class Two's classroom, recording the students' awakening results.
In this world, everyone who completed the college entrance exams and turned 18 would undergo an awakening.
They would become Creators, each possessing a planet uniquely their own.
Through the energy found on their planets True Qi, Spiritual Qi, or Magic Power they could create different species or even entire civilizations.
"Eighteen years... I've finally made it to today."
Among the crowd, a boy muttered to himself.
His name was Bai Ze. He had transmigrated to this world eighteen years ago.
However, as far as he knew, this world of Creators wasn't entirely safe.
Beyond the main world, in the starry seas, countless alien races lurked, eyeing humanity with malicious intent.
Creators who successfully awakened would gain the power to resist these alien races and ensure their survival.
But those who failed to awaken would remain ordinary people, left to perish in wars without anyone mourning them or even noticing. Their lives would be worse than those of livestock.
"Xia... Xia Yinyue, awakening succeeded!"
"A planet with a land diameter of 30 kilometers."
"The planet contains a high concentration of oxygen, nearing the properties of True Qi!"
Suddenly, the teacher on the podium shouted excitedly, pulling Bai Ze out of his thoughts.
The classroom erupted in an uproar at the announcement.
"No way! A planet with a land diameter of 30 kilometers?"
"And it's already on the verge of generating True Qi? This is going to shock the city government!"
"Finally, our school has produced a genius!"
"Yeah, Nantian High School finally has a star student… Guess I have no chance now..."
Amidst the stunned gazes of her classmates, a girl with a clean and pretty face, dressed in a school uniform and sporting a cute tie, walked down from the podium.
She passed through the rows of students and stopped in front of a boy.
"Congratulations," the boy said with a faint smile.
"Thanks! You should go for your test soon. The teacher asked me to go to the principal's office, but I'll be back to keep you company later." The girl beamed at him.
With that, she swished her high ponytail and quickly left the classroom.
Noticing the envious stares of his classmates, Bai Ze could only shake his head helplessly.
Who told him to have such a beautiful girlfriend that everyone was jealous?
"All right, all right! Quiet down!"
"Next, Bai Ze, step forward!"
Hearing his name, Bai Ze stood up cheerfully and walked toward the podium.
Whispers broke out around him.
Everyone in the class knew that Xia Yinyue was Bai Ze's girlfriend.
Now that she'd made such a remarkable achievement, who wouldn't be curious about how her boyfriend would perform?
"All right, Bai Ze, just place your hand on it, close your eyes, and focus your mind," the teacher instructed.
She gestured toward the transparent, spherical stone at the center of the podium.
Taking a deep breath, Bai Ze closed his eyes and placed his hand on the stone.
In the next instant, his vision went dark. It felt like his soul had left his body, drifting weightlessly.
He could hear the sound of galaxies spinning, black holes roaring, and the sonic booms of meteor fragments colliding. The sounds made him frown slightly.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a vast starry sea.
There was nothing here just an endless void stretching out infinitely.
"No way… There's nothing here? Did I fail to awaken?" Bai Ze exclaimed, his expression turning grim as he scanned his surroundings.
Suddenly, a cold mechanical voice silenced all other sounds.
[Ding! System activation in progress...]
[Ding! Scanning... No innate awakening talent was detected. Automatically creating a world for the host.]
Bai Ze instinctively looked toward a direction.
Where there had been nothing before, a translucent barrier appeared, slowly forming a hollow sphere.
[Ding! World barrier successfully created for the host.]
[Congratulations! The God Simulator has successfully bound to the host!]
[This system will simulate planetary development, and civilization evolution, and ensure the host rises from nothing to the pinnacle of the universe!]
"Awesome!"
That was the only word Bai Ze could think of at the moment.
"Eighteen years…"
"Do you know what I've been through during these eighteen years?"
The system, a must-have for any transmigrator, had finally arrived!
Looking at the system's features, Bai Ze's face lit up with joy.
It was so enticing that he couldn't help but grin.
In his previous life, he had often played simulation games, including one called God Simulator...
Incredible!
The system allowed him to simulate being the Creator of a planet, designing lifeforms and building civilizations.
Even if he accidentally blew up his planet, it didn't matter he could start all over again!
In other words, it was a system that allowed unlimited trial and error.
While others had to carefully and cautiously develop their worlds, Bai Ze could already pave the most optimal path, as if guided by divine intervention!
Meanwhile, in the classroom, the teacher, standing by the awakening stone's display screen, began stammering through the announcement.
"B-Bai Ze… World awakening successful."
"Planet land diameter: 0. Ocean diameter: 0. No energy detected..."
The classroom fell into a deafening silence.
But after a brief pause, someone caught on to the situation.
"Pfft!"
"Hahaha, no way, dude! How is your planet transparent?"
"I see it too! Isn't this just a 'three-nothing' planet? No land, no ocean, and no energy!"
"Thank goodness! I was almost scared there for a second. Turns out there's still a gap between people. Guess Xia the genius made a mistake choosing him."
"That's true. I've seen planets with no land, just oceans at the start."
"But I've never seen one without land or oceans. Honestly, in a way, you're a special kind of talent!"
Below the podium, snickers filled the room as the image of Bai Ze's world appeared on the display screen.
Most of those laughing were the ones who had failed their awakenings, venting their jealousy.
They felt justified because the size of a planet's initial landmass and the energy present in the atmosphere determined a person's future potential.
For someone like Bai Ze, with neither land nor ocean, even if he somehow used ability cards to create land, his life was destined for mediocrity.
Yet, despite being just as "worthless" as the rest of them, how had he managed to win the favor of someone as brilliant as Xia Yinyue?
That inequity filled them with bitterness.
Even the teacher standing nearby had a peculiar expression.
In her twenty-plus years of teaching, she had never encountered something this bizarre.
A planet with no land, no ocean, and only a "world barrier" awakened what kind of awakening was this?
"Bai Ze, since your awakening is complete, you can step down now."
"You might want to visit the resource office and ask the teachers there if you can receive any resources. They might help with your world-building in the future."
