Chapter 212
At that moment five strong looking guards moved forward, their boots echoing ominously on the marble floor.
Upon seeing what was going on.
Annabelle and her family were frantic, their voices overlapping in desperation.
She knows what is coming, and she doesn't want Ethan to get involved although she has seen him fight before but this is different.
Without being told she knows the family wouldn't let him off the hook easily even though he defeated the men.
However if Ethan would be able to leave here, it would be now, although he has said more than enough but she doesn't want him to get into trouble just because of her own mistakes.
"Ethan, please!" Annabelle begged, clutching his arm. "Just kneel and apologize. Don't make this worse."
Immediately Her father stepped in, his tone sharp and urgent.
"Don't be a fool, Ethan. They'll kill you if you keep this up. Just say the words."
Upon hearing what Annabelle and her father just said.
He couldn't help but shake his head, without being told he knows Annabelle is worried, but if he leaves without doing anything, she would be the one in bigger wrong.
The boy's parents would never listen to her.
And with the looks on their faces he couldn't tell they knew what their son was doing, but they just wanted to make an example out of Annabelle so she would take the fall.
That's what they went and he's not going to allow that.
Annabelle was very helpful to him when he was going for Naomi's grandfather even though her life was in danger she didn't run away and he hasn't thanked her properly.
He's going to use this opportunity to do so.
Ethan stood firm, his expression calm but his voice cutting like a blade.
"Apologize? To these fake people?" He glanced at the head of the family, his gaze unwavering. "I'd rather take a beating than kneel to liars."
Upon hearing what Ethan just said.
The room fell into a stunned silence. The boy's family exchanged looks of disbelief, their shock quickly turning to outrage. The head of the family, his face red with fury, slammed his fist on the armrest of his chair.
"This insolence!" he roared.
"How dare you speak to us like that! Guards, beat him to death!"
The order rang out like a death sentence.
The guards didn't hesitate, stepping forward with grim determination. Immediately Annabelle screamed, clutching at Ethan's arm, but he gently pushed her aside, his stance steady and unflinching as the guards closed in.
At that moment the guards charged at Ethan, their movements swift and calculated, but Ethan didn't flinch.
The first guard swung a baton toward him, but Ethan sidestepped with ease, grabbing the man's arm and twisting it sharply.
Immediately the guard cried out as he hit the ground.
The second and third guards came at him simultaneously. Ethan ducked under a punch, using the momentum to sweep one of them off his feet while delivering a quick elbow strike to the other's jaw.
Immediately Both guards collapsed to the floor, groaning in pain.
At that moment the remaining two hesitated for a brief moment before rushing him.
Ethan spun around, catching one by the collar and hurling him into the other. They crashed into each other and fell in a heap, their attempts to get up feeble.
Upon seeing what that just happened.
The room was silent, the once-confident guards sprawled across the ground, groaning in defeat.
At that moment Ethan straightened his posture, his breathing steady, as he cast a cold glance toward the boy's family.
Annabelle's family, however, broke the silence with panicked pleas. Her father stepped forward, his hands raised in surrender.
"He—he's not with us!"
he stammered, his voice shaking. "We don't even know who he is!"
Annabelle's mother chimed in, nodding frantically.
"Yes! We have no idea where he came from! He's… he's nothing to do with us!"
Even Annabelle, though hesitant, looked at Ethan with wide eyes, her lips trembling as she wanted to join her family in denying Ethan but the world refused to come out.

She knows Ethan is a nice person, and he's doing all this to make Sure she is free.
But at the same time she knows he's doing too much which is going to cause more trouble.
Her Family desperate disavowals echoed through the room, their fear of the boy's family overwhelming any connection to Ethan as they tried to distance themselves from the chaos he had just caused.
At that moment The head of the family stood from his chair, his face twisted with rage. His voice thundered through the room, shaking the air.
"Enough of this nonsense!" he barked, pulling out his phone and making a call. Within moments, the door burst open, and fifteen guards stormed in, their presence making the room feel even smaller.
The head of the family pointed at Ethan with a trembling finger. "Kneel and apologize," he commanded, his voice cold and final.
"This is your last chance."
At that moment Ethan crossed his arms, his face calm but his voice resolute. "Over my dead body," he replied, his words slicing through the tension like a knife.
Upon seeing Ethan standing his ground.
The man's fury reached its peak. "Fine!" he roared. "Guards, beat him until he learns to apologize. All of you attack at once—I won't have a repeat of earlier!"
The guards moved into position, circling Ethan with menacing precision. Their eyes were locked on him, their muscles tensed, ready to strike. Annabelle's family huddled in a corner, whispering frantic prayers, while the boy's family watched with smug anticipation.
Just as the guards lunged forward, the door creaked open again.
The sound made everyone pause, their attention shifting.
At that moment Three men dressed in sleek black suits entered the room, their faces stern and unreadable. Their presence was commanding, each step measured and deliberate.
Immediately the guards froze in their tracks, the tension in the room shifting as the newcomers surveyed the scene with calm, calculating eyes.
The air grew heavier, leaving everyone wondering who they were—and why they had arrived.
