Gossip girl

Chapter 17: Gossip Girl Fanfiction – Chapter 12: School Lies & Family Ties (Part 2)

"They say what goes up must come down... but on the Upper East Side, the higher you climb, the harder the fall. And trust me, darlings, someone's about to plummet. XOXO, Gossip Girl."

Blair's Perfect Sabotage... Or Not

Blair's plan to sabotage Nelly Yuki was already in motion. She had her sights set on one goal: eliminate the competition. I watched as she orchestrated everything like a maestro conducting a twisted symphony.

"So, you drugged her tea?" I asked, leaning casually against Blair's locker, trying to mask my disapproval.

Blair gave me a pointed look. "Not drugged. Just... lightly sedated. She'll nap right through the practice test."

"And what if she doesn't?"

Blair smiled sweetly. "That's what Plan B is for."

I sighed. There was no reasoning with Blair when she was like this. Still, a part of me admired her tenacity. Ruthless, yes. But I could relate to that.

Serena's Past Refuses to Stay There

Across the courtyard, Serena's tension was palpable. Gabriel Edwards was back, and it was obvious he wasn't just here to say hello.

"Serena, you okay?" I asked, catching up with her between classes.

She forced a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Yeah. Just... surprised to see him. That's all."

I studied her for a moment. "You sure? Because you look like you just saw a ghost."

Serena sighed, leaning against the wall. "It's complicated. We didn't exactly end on good terms."

I didn't press. If Serena wanted to talk, she would. Until then, I'd be watching. Gabriel didn't strike me as the kind of guy who just shows up for a friendly chat.

Gossip Girl Strikes Again

By lunchtime, Gossip Girl had her claws in everything.

"Spotted: S looking a little too nostalgic around a certain blast from the past. And B? Well, let's just say her war for Yale is about to get... sleepy. Watch out, Upper East Siders. The games have only just begun. XOXO, Gossip Girl."

Blair, predictably, was furious.

"How does she always know?" Blair fumed, reading the post.

Chuck, seated beside her, smirked. "Maybe you have a mole."

"Impossible," Blair snapped. "My circle is airtight."

I shared a glance with Chuck. Nothing in this city was airtight.

The Fallout

Nelly Yuki missed her test, just as Blair planned. But the victory was short-lived.

"You happy now?" I asked Blair later that afternoon.

"Ecstatic," she declared, though her expression suggested otherwise.

The thing about Blair? Winning was never enough. She needed to win the right way. And deep down, I knew she hated what she'd done.

Serena Confronts Gabriel

After school, I found Serena standing on the steps of The Palace, Gabriel looming just a little too close.

"Everything okay here?" I asked, stepping between them smoothly.

Gabriel's smile was charming but cold. "Just catching up."

Serena looked relieved to have me there. "We were just finishing."

I held Gabriel's gaze until he took the hint and walked away.

"Thanks," Serena murmured, brushing her hair behind her ear.

"Anytime," I said, meaning it.

Gossip Girl's Final Word

"Careful, Upper East Siders. The past never stays buried for long. And when it digs its way back up? Well, let's just say not everyone will make it out unscathed. Sweet dreams. XOXO, Gossip Girl."
